What do you like best about Kula?
There’s a lot to love about Kula. It’s an AI-driven ATS that truly elevates the recruiting experience — blending smart automation with thoughtful design to make hiring faster, easier, and more accurate.
AI Notetaker + Conversational Insights
This feature is an absolute game changer. Kula’s conversational AI can answer questions about a candidate’s interview — even pulling from notes that aren’t in your written scorecard. It’s incredibly helpful when I need to recall a specific detail or comment a candidate made and speak to it accurately in follow-ups.
AI Candidate Scoring
I love how customizable and precise this is. You can define the exact attributes you value, stack-rank them, and generate highly tailored scores for each applicant. The accuracy has been impressive, and it makes reviewing applications dramatically faster. When I’m short on time, I can immediately see and prioritize top-fit candidates to move forward first.
Effortless Pipeline Management
Kula’s pipeline experience is clean, intuitive, and fast. Moving candidates through stages feels seamless, and the overall interface makes managing recruiting workflows genuinely enjoyable.
Exceptional Support
The Kula team sets a new bar for customer support. They’re available via Slack, incredibly responsive, and open to feedback. I’ve shared product suggestions and even minor issues — and in several cases, they’ve implemented updates the same day. Their friendliness and speed are unmatched, and I genuinely hope that never changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Kula?
Kula is still a relatively new tool in the market, and like any early-stage platform, there are a few areas still being refined. The upside is that their team is incredibly responsive to feedback, which makes the growing pains far easier to navigate. One of the best parts about getting in early is having that direct line to the team and seeing your feedback quickly turn into improvements.
Product Feedback
There have been a few times I’ve shared enhancement suggestions — for example, the ability to add comments to individual competency ratings on scorecards. These aren’t dealbreakers by any means, but small improvements that would make the user experience even better.
Occasional Bugs & Early Glitches
As with any new product, we’ve run into a few bugs. Some have been minor — for instance, if you use AI to fill in your notes, you’ll want to do that before typing your own, since it can overwrite manual notes. The team is aware and actively working on it.
We also experienced a larger issue tied to a Zoom permissions change on our end (not Kula’s fault!) that temporarily prevented me from scheduling hiring manager interviews. For a short time, I had to manually send invites and take notes outside the platform. That said, Kula’s support team identified the cause, communicated clearly, and had it fully resolved within a day — which speaks volumes about their responsiveness.
Overall, if you’re comfortable adopting a newer tool with cutting-edge functionality, you might encounter a few bumps along the way. But honestly, the innovation, responsiveness, and ease of use far outweigh these minor issues — and their stellar support team makes every hiccup feel manageable.
