Secure, Flexible Client Collaboration with Custom iSheets, Dashboards, and Automation **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026 **What do you like best about HighQ?** I find HighQ a very helpful platform to collaborate with clients, particularly due to the mix of features available and the flexibility with which you can "mix and match" its components (the Lego bricks analogy) to create bespoke solutions. In particular I really like the combination of customisable iSheets, which can be used for a variety of trackers, and dashboards to visualise key data and metrics. Workflow automation is also incredibly helpful to embed partial or entire workflows as part of the site. I think this really conveys the idea of providing our clients (but also internal teams) with a "one stop shop" to find everything they need, whenever they need, and, last but not least, in an extremely secure environment. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** The overall UI/UX could be better, with more capabilities to customise the "look and feel" for individual sites or features. For example in relation to the iSheet grid and "add record" window - although this has been significantlu improved since the inception of iSheet forms, as well as the more recent new iSheet layout. With AI and GenAI tools picking up speed, I would also expect HighQ to continue develop in a similar fashion and make AI solutions available, for example in relation to reviewing contracts more easily, extract key data, summarise documents, etc. Performance can sometimes be an issue, I refer to a few downtime spells we experienced recently, and where communication re their cause and expected solutions could have been better. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Team collaboration: sharing documents, work capacity, general know-how. Client collaboration: timely, accurate and transparent reporting; sharing documents, intake new instructions, workflow automation, document automation, training awareness. I particularly appreciate the stability of HighQ, as I have not experienced any outages so far and processes have been running smoothly for years. I can work very quickly and do not have to worry about hardware or storage space. The detailed permissions give me full control and allow me to securely store even very sensitive data within our company. Additionally, the knowledge base was very helpful for self-learning after the initial support from an agency. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** I don't like the new iSheet design - you see too little. The column width is too large by default. I also find the design not very successful - too many lines - it makes everything restless. For me, it's a clear step back and not a modern, future-oriented design. There is redundant information, the column width is too wide due to the hidden buttons for filters, so you see fewer columns at a glance. There is no longer a button to jump to the next page. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** With HighQ, I can implement requirements very quickly and easily. It works stably and without failures, and processes continue to run even after years. I don't have to worry about hardware or storage space and have full control over the permissions. ### 3. Our IT team was able to set it up in a very bespoke manner to suit our project parameters and we haven't really needed to tweak or change things since. The export and import functionality has been a literal lifesaver as its allowed us to really optimise our workflows to efficiently deal with varying tasks & instructions, and to carry data from Collaborate to our other tools. We were also able to use inbuilt reporting system to develop a quick MI tool for progress tracking at a glance. In the few instances when there have been outages, we found the Customer Support to be top notch & they provided us realistic ETA's instead of telling us what they thought we wanted to hear. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** There are no downsides as such, but there has been a recurring glitch, where forms submitted for a task, will reappear at times in the middle of my queue if I've got filters on. This can sometimes get really disorienting as I see work I've already completed re-appear in my queue. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** The projects we're using HighQ Collaborate for require us to keep track of the work being done on a very micro level. For each URN completed, we need to have records of what was done, when it was done & what the outcome was in case of a QA check. Due to the way Collab is set up, we were able to build a robust MI tool that helps us keep these tabs on the whole team for a specific project, thus not only helping us performance manage better, but also deliver better value for our clients through data driven metrics. ### 4. The ability to create specific views is great. The amount of information one can store is pretty good. It's useful to have one Thomson Reuters representative. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** Need the ability to build automated workflows with additional levels of if/then options. Currently limited to one level. Need the ability to create specific views that can be defaulted per user. Need the ability to hide some portion of the available information for better viewability without that limiting the search function to only what is in view (i.e., should be able to search fields that have information in them, even if they're not included in one user's view). It's useful to have one Thomson Reuters representative, except when that representative is out of office for an extended period of time, there is no back-up system in place. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** HighQ provides a place that users can submit request to Legal and Legal can revise the submission form as needed to reduce certain types of follow-up questions. HighQ provides a place that users can find the status of their requests without additional e-mails/calls. Customer service is awalys prompt. The automatic numbering feature and automatede index creation is especially useful. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** We use the site mainly as a due diligence data room . When documents get deleted, this can affect the numbering of all documents in a folder, which then requires solicitors to review the document referencing in transaction documents to ensure the numbering has been updated. We have managed to build some fairly sophisticated solutions using out of the box tools. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** Occasionally we experience downtime or outages. To HighQ's credit they keep clients updated with the status via dashboard and will provide reports upon request. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sharing content with external clients in a secure and easy to use way. You can create custom emails, complex logic for when to trigger certain rules, and personalized views for specific subsets of contracts. Our implementation rep went above and beyond to support us during a lenghty implementation period. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** The platform is best suited for an organization with a simple process and limited need to change. Otherwise, it takes a ton of time to administer and has constant bugs. They don't have an out-of-the-box Salesforce integration or an effective Google Docs integration, despite having told us they did. It was not an intuitive user interface for submitting or approving contracts and users were constantly frustrated or requiring help. Implementation took over a year to complete. The AI could not even pull terms as simple as contract end dates. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** We adopted HighQ for the Salesforce Integration, AI, and workflow features. The first two were serious disappointments. The workflow feature was better than tracking things via email or approving via a PDF, as users did have more visibility into where a request was at in the process. The search feature was better than our legacy system. ### 11. Automating and then pulling data from data systems to overall simplify the document generation and avoid manual work. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** I find it little less user friendly from developers point of view, you have to download it's addin and then it will show in MS word ribbon, from where you can create bookmarks , nothing like drag drop functionality like other tool as HotDocs but from end user pov no difference. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a powerful automation tool that helps automating any kind of documents into intelligent documents, it runs everything on cloud, easy to integrate with clio data storage to pull entities data. ### 12. Really reduced training times compared to previous products we have used. Additional bonus, when you update the version, the documents update automatically as well. What should not be overlooked is how it is designed to meet compliance and compliant rules. For large firms like I am at, this is invaluable. The user interface is clean, straight forward, and well designed. We like it better the Microsoft Sharepoint. While we still have MS Sharepoint, we are phasing it out in favor of this most likely. **What do you dislike about HighQ?** The cost of storage could be friendlier. It's not cheap, but some argue you get what you paid for. The API is not cheap as well. I hope this changes in the future as time goes on. Some users had issues with the iSheet integration. I think this will be updated according to support. **Recommendations to others considering HighQ:** I would talk to someone that actually uses it to hear the benefits first-hand. I think Microsoft Sharepoint is so popular, that this product gets overlooked. It would be best to find someone that moved from MS Sharepoint to this product. **What problems is HighQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well reliability for one thing. We had issues with Microsoft Sharepoint and reliability, and no issues as of yet. We also enjoy the speed of granting permissions to our clients. This wasn't so easy with MS Sharepoint, nor as reliable. Also, signing of documents is much better than ever before. ### 13.
