# What bot detection software has the best low-volume attack handling and lowest false positive rates?

I went through the Bot Detection and Mitigation category on G2, and my findings are that low-and-slow detection and false-positive avoidance are genuinely in tension, since a tool tuned aggressively enough to catch a slow, targeted bot will also flag more borderline human traffic. The reviews here reflect that trade-off rather than any tool escaping it entirely.
Models that reviewers describe as improving after a training period point to something worth factoring into any evaluation timeline; the tuning window itself is part of the cost, and judging a tool's accuracy in week one versus month three will produce very different verdicts. Reviewers crediting a system for catching threats competitors miss is a meaningful claim, but it's also the kind of claim that's hardest to verify without your own traffic running through it side by side. The honest expectation for anyone evaluating this category is that false positives probably won't settle quickly, and a vendor promising immediate accuracy on low-volume attacks specifically is promising something the underlying detection method makes genuinely hard.
