I use HiBob HRIS for our company's HR system, including employee records, structure, time off, attendance, and talent management. I like how our ATS integrates robustly with HiBob HRIS, syncing perfectly. The service system stands out and is beneficial, along with the time-off policy section and time sheet capture module. The system captures every employee's attendance and leave information in a perfectly synced way, while the service system documents every ongoing task, making everything easily aligned with the team. The talent module, with its career development and succession plans, provides a robust framework for employee career growth and visibility, benefiting our organization significantly. I sometimes find the data capture system for attendance a bit challenging. Specifically, the clock-in and clock-out functions can be a little laggy at times through the mobile app. It's usually due to network issues, the employer's mobile device, or other system-related problems. We started with Bob for core HR admin a couple of years ago, while using separate tools for performance, development and training. Last year we decided to drop those tools and bring everything into Bob. We now use the full suite, including Bob, Talent and Compensation, and having it all in one place has made life much easier for our HR team and our managers.

The performance module has improved a lot. Review cycles run much more smoothly, and the AI assistant is a great help when writing reviews: instead of starting from scratch, it builds on everything already in Bob, such as 1:1 notes, previous reviews and feedback. The reporting is strong, and the 9-box is easy to set up and genuinely useful at different levels of the organisation. Combined with the job architecture, it gives us a complete picture, and because it’s all connected to the development module, feedback flows naturally into development planning. The AI assistant has also made writing development plans far easier than before.

Compensation and benefits is another highlight. It aligns really well with our open salary policy: employees can see their own salary band and where they sit within it, which has helped build trust and transparency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to define time-bound actions under each development area, so employees can track their progress the same way they can in the "Goal" module.

Not a downside, but I’d love also the option to show employees the salary range of the next level alongside their current one. What I like best about HiBob is how seamlessly it balances user experience with administrative power.

The platform is incredibly intuitive, visually appealing, and super easy to handle for both employees and HR. Setting up and managing the platform behind the scenes is straightforward and painless. The onboarding flows are fantastic. It creates a really engaging, 'cool' welcome experience for new hires from day one. Long-term Leave Restrictions: Currently, you cannot schedule a long-term leave in the calendar for a period of more than 2 years. This can be tricky to manage for extended absences (like multi-year parental or sabbatical leaves) without manual workarounds.

Time-Off Adjustments: Once you make a manual adjustment to an employee's time-off balance, you cannot simply edit it. If you make a mistake, you have to either completely delete the entry or create another manual adjustment to correct it, which clutters the history.

Document Generation: The document creation tool has room for improvement. In other modern HRIS platforms, placeholder/variable fields integrate seamlessly into the text formatting. In Bob, however, you have to manually leave blank spaces for these placeholders, which can disrupt the document's layout and look less polished. What I like best about HiBob is how quickly employees adopt the system, largely thanks to its highly intuitive and user-friendly interface. It completely modernizes the HR experience and feels natural for everyone to use from day one.

What I like least about HiBob is the inability to schedule two consecutive leave requests in a single workflow (for example, seamlessly chaining a maternity leave followed directly by a parental leave).

Additionally, reporting lacks historical point-in-time snapshot capabilities. You can only extract data at the current moment (T-time) rather than selecting a specific past date to view exact headcount or compensation data as it was at that precise point in time. HiBob is a very complex system (which makes it so useful and provides high functionality), but it can take longer to make changes in the system / learn new features vs more basic competitors. Onboarding flows in particular are a pain point. The issue there is visibility of future employees in an onboarding flow, it is not simple to make adjustments to a flow and be sure that this has been reflected on people already in it, as you cannot easily see where each person sits in the flow at any time. This is a pain point for companies who hire well ahead of start dates, where things may have changed between employee hiring and start date (this could be internal processes, legal/compliance requirements etc..). The modern user interface, management functionality, custom personnel files and workflows. It's helped us streamline our hiring, onboarding, development and offboarding processes a great deal. I love the Core Module of HiBob HRIS because it is really easy to use and practically self-service. The Tasks and Documents features have helped us automate many of our day-to-day operations with triggers in place to notify stakeholders on changes related to an employee's lifecycle. I also appreciate the reports and dashboards, which provide snapshots of our organization's data at a glance, offering great visibility and transparency. I feel that the Hiring Module needs improvement because it feels like an isolated product, and not connected with the Core Module. The experience in both modules is really different, and the amount of things I can do in Hiring is limited. It is easy to implement and use. Employees like it and find that they are able to access the information they want and self-serve for items that are important.
