I find Gravity to be pretty user-friendly for someone with a background in general ledger management. I have previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics (SL) and Quickbooks online, so I found the learning curve for Gravity to be accelerated because of that. We use Gravity daily as our consolidated accounting system. The various modules interact with each other well. The template reports are easy to get used to and navigating the platform is straight-forward. Additionally, the customer support team is able to clear issues quickly and effectively. I think one area for improvement is Gravity's non-template report feature. You have almost unlimited possibilities with creating unique reports to fit your company's needs; but writing the reports is quite a process and you have to be extremely careful with the coding or the report does not work. Gravity software is extremely user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and manage our tasks. I particularly value how seamlessly it lets us switch between the different companies within our organization. The import and export data features are especially helpful, whether we're creating custom solutions or utilizing the built-in reports and the advanced financial statement designer. My office has been using Gravity Software for almost 3 years now. We chose the software because of the multi entity capabilities since we have 29 that we like to view in some sort of combination or other. It is a game changer in that arena with the integrations we have added. It has aided the office so much that we were able to reduce our headcount by 2 individuals. I like that we can upload copies of the invoices into payables, bank statements into the bank recs, and W9's on the vendors so we don't need to store paper copies anymore. Sometimes the canned reports time out when switching between entities. Also, sometimes the dashboards don't display the correct information. The general ledger and reports are correct, just the display gets hung up. However, nothing than more than a quick email and typically it is fixed same day by the support team. One last issue I have, but a good thing for accountants, is that I cannot just change a date on a payable or cash receipt without having to correct it (automated reversal and reissue) in the system, there is no way just to change one thing without having to use the system process. I like the ability to post intercompany transactions with one entry. Reduces chances of mistakes. I/C accounts are always balanced. Being able to connect to Power Bi or Power Query is fantastic. Customer support is always helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a few issues I have with Gravity. The reporting section is not great and could use a bit more customization. When entering bills, it is still possible to select a dimension that is assigned to Company A to be used in Company B, creating the need for reclass transations. Gravity is perfect for businesses that have multiple entities (and deal with multiple currencies) as well as family or private offices. I love that transactions that are inter-company do not require additional work and that your journal entries are created for you in the back end. No more double entry! Gravity also makes consolidating financials easy with their financial report writer. One login for all your related (or unrelated) entities and you can create entity groups if needed. Gravity is constantly making improvements and developing new modules. Customer service is wonderful. I highly recommend Gravity to accountants, consultants, and all my clients. We were intrigued by the multi-enity and custom reporting functions available in Gravity at the price point. The features worked but were a bit more clunky than originally expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The AP, AR, credit card and payroll modules are not very efficient as the system does not connect to many outside systems. Furthermore the implementation process was very long and costly and at the end of the day found that the lack of efficiencies out weighed the positives of the multi entity and custom reporting features. We needed a lower-cost solution with accurate inter-company accounting; we had outgrown Quickbooks. Gravity delivered that solution. We have been thrilled with the ease of moving about companies and the custom report-writing features. I can say yes to any requests from upper management to see financials in many ways; before Gravity I could not even deliver consolidated financials. Support has also been stellar; I put in a ticket and get the question and issue resolved within the day. The Dimensions feature we have also been actively using is an excellent way to track meaningful data.
