"Project Accountant "

What do you like best?

The best thing that I like about this software is it will allow me to disburse the payment only on one click. Apart from that it will also let me evaluate and check if we have received all the documents as in Conditional and unconditional waivers which are required to disburse the payment. Its well organized and we can inform all our vendors when we open a draw just by one click in the system. This will save the time of writing an email or personally talking to them.

What do you dislike?

The thing that I didn't like about this system is when we try to set up a new user it consumes time and some extra time however I believe that it is the reason for any software.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Like any other software what I recommend to all the users is to first learn the product all the features of the textura and what tricks and shortcuts you can learn to improve to your adaptability to the software. Apart from that, I would like to say that this is very user-friendly and make your life way easier.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The main business problem that we solve using Textura is that, paying for our contractors and subcontractors in the construction sector. Apart from that, we move from signing and mailing the conditional or unconditional waivers to signing them using oracle textura. .

"POC on Oracle Textura"

What do you like best?

Development using OTPM is reasonable. I liked the automate notification. Salesforce integration as we are big user of salesforce and wanted this service to be integrated with our current systems.,

What do you dislike?

Looking forward to integrate with other system. As a Salesforce platform analyst I am looking for more towards cloud based solutions outside oracle domain.

I am trying to integrate this to use in financial secotrs custom payment so that the sales people shall have better flexibility of payment process. also mobile option of it i am looking. still the POC in progress.

"Textura Review"

What do you like best?

Liked the fact that the Textura SOV's matched completely and exactly up with the AIA billing formulas we had within RAM Construction.

What do you dislike?

The retention withholding and the fact that you were only able to add line items/change orders when the customer released the ability to. Sometimes we would have a change order or new line item approved on both sides but the customer would not stay on their Textura entry and therefore it would affect our monthly billings.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are looking for a way to organize billing with you and your customers, Textura is definitely the path to follow. There is small room for human error due to the technology within the software itself and it gives you the ability to quickly and easily view older, newer, lower, higher, etc. billings all with the process of electronic storing and categorization.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to have a universal way and software to bill from client to customer in the construction industry. The benefits are that there is little room for human error.

"Eliminates the need to manually keep track of draws"

What do you like best?

I like getting automatic reminders about draws due and disbursements that are ready. Also, like having electronic versions of all supporting paperwork in one place. Being able to sign all paperwork electronically and have an approver and a signor as separate roles and logins is good as well.

What do you dislike?

It's a bit hard to navigate, editing draws is not self-explanatory.

"Pay system "

What do you like best?

This my go to for anything money related within the agency. I love the fact that I can use this for pay systems. It’s improtant to us that we log everything and keep record of all payments specially to those of our own employees. This makes the entire process smooth and painless.

What do you dislike?

The system itself is different and not exactly easy to navigate through. Some of the processes and phases are confusing and hard to get to. I spent a lot of time navigating and finding my way through. A more formal webex or live training on the system would be great.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Payment systems- commission tracking and payments to employees but also customers.

"Great Product Easy to Use"

What do you like best?

What I liked best about Oracle Textura Payment Management was its ability to collaborate with all parties involved in a project. Each person can add input and keeps the team on task for what has been completed and what is still unfinished which helps to manage the and stay on track of each task and those assigned.

What do you dislike?

I disliked that when you made an error on an entry you had to redo the entire entry. You don't have the flexibility to modify an entry and change the few items that had errors, you had to redo the entire entry which was extremely time consuming.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving the small little jobs that tend to slip through the cracks on invoicing which in the end tend to create either a way over budget problem or confusion about what has been billed verses what hasn't. We have realized working with Oracle that most jobs are being completed without being billed and then being asked to be done again because there is no closeout. Oracle was an excellent tool for us to streamline the process of managing projects start and end.

What do you like best?

The accuracy of the system and it make communication easier by letting the parties know by just clicking one button from our side of the system. This also increases efficiency and unable the process payment method easier. Apart from the payment it also enables to declare waivers, release waivers by protecting both the parties involved.

What do you dislike?

Time to time system failures and error messages.

Study the system from A-Z using their guideline everything is pretty straightforward and will be a great chance to develop the skill from the beginning.

"User Friendly"

What do you like best?

The software is user-friendly and customer support is responsive. We use this software nationwide for our billings.

What do you dislike?

There are challenges is getting sub contractor to perform the initial set up and training on billings. It can be overwhelming for small companies to submit billing through textura.

I would recommen to textura on providing more customer training.

We are able to get our sub contractors billed on time and in turn submit billing to the owner.

"easy to submit invoices and upload lien waivers."

What do you like best?

I like that it is easy to enter in the AIA amounts and that the SOV is update by the GC for any change orders.

What do you dislike?

The layout of the site can be confusing. if you aren't sent a link promoting you to do something, it can be hard to figure out where to go.

The GC doesn't need to contact each sub reminding them to submit invoices, textura does that for you.

"Terrible, not user friendly"

What do you like best?

It's focus all compliance documents such as w-9, insurance certificate, other required documents be in place before the payment. Good point is that it would be able to pay via direct deposit.

What do you dislike?

It is outdated version. It's not even user friendly.

-Complaint before their payment is released.

"Online Accountant"

What do you like best?

I like it very much for the accuracy of it. Only one click is enough for do the payment. And we can use it worldwide for our billings. Very easy to navigate.

What do you dislike?

Biggest one is error message when we try to transaction sometime it get struggle. And need to add more features. Customer support is poor.

What do you like best?

you can drill through to get to lowest level of payment

What do you dislike?

due to managing different entities, they are setup separately, so to see a payment you have to sign for that specific entity, which can take time, why can't we put all entities in one place
