Very quick and easy to map fields to Salesforce. Also, when the submission of a form generates an exception in Salesforce (such as when two contacts have the same email address), it is easy to make the necessary correction in Salesforce and then resubmit the form. Occasionally we have situations where we would like more flexibility or customization when designing a form. For example, we have a custom object that accepts submissions from several forms that include a "Question or comments" field. The field is defined as a long text area field in Salesforce with a field size of 32,000 characters. This works well for our Contact Us form where we want to enable users to enter lengthy questions. However, we use the same object for a Publicity feedback form where we would like to limit the response to 4,000 characters. Formstack for Salesforce automatically sets the input field size to match the Salesforce field length. We would like to be able to customize that to suit the context of the form, but Formstack for Salesforce doesn't appear to support that option other than creating a separate custom field in Salesforce. In another case, we mistakenly failed to map a field before activating a form. We received several hundred submissions before identifying and fixing the mistake. There does not appear to be any simple way to export the submitted form data so we can import it into Salesforce other than drilling down to each form submission and copying the input data one record at a time. Setting this up to begin with. It can be a little tricky at times, especially for users who do not practice with the architecture of Salesforce specific options. There's so much going on and sometimes, these features are hidden behind several hidden settings, and more documentation could have gone a little deeper on some aspects. There are several aspects of Formastack that are not ideal.

1) Look/Presentation- it is very difficult and time consuming to edit the form itself. Even with extensive editing the forms still do not look professional and I receive constant complaints about them. If you add a logo to your form, for example, it removes all of the previous corrections/adjustments to the form. Usually you can't see the adjustments in real time. You have to save them and then reload the page as a preview to see if your logo/font adjustments/etc. worked.

2) Ease of use-Formstack is not user friendly. Creating a form can be difficult and time consuming. If fields are not labeled properly it is nearly impossible figure out where the information will be collected. While I appreciate that I am able to send a link for the Formstack it would be helpful to have additional formats to pick from.

Since our organization is Salesforce Centric it has been great having a form tool within SF that easily helps to collect form data and connect it to SF Accounts and Contacts. The mapping to SF standard objects is easy to set up for each form. Formstack has many features that allow us to build multiple types of forms from simple name / email captures to large surveys. It is a not a business user friendly tool like other form solutions we have used. Our business partners would like to be able to create their own forms but are currently dependent on our developers / admin to do so.

Mapping to SF custom objects has been a little bit of trial and error. For some forms we do have a complex setup and mapping which has made it difficult to map form data to SF. To be fair this isn't really a Formstack limitation. It's more an issue with our custom set up. It would be nice if there was better capability to map to custom objects and fields. It is very easy to collect some straightforward information as created forms for internal purposes is very quick. Also users say that the autofill feature is very useful. For non confidential and internal purposes, document signing is frequently used to streamline our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For advanced purposes, this is not suitable as detailed configuration is not intuitive. For corporate level external and confidential purposes, we use other tools as they are stronger.
