## Fathom Reviews
 ### 1. Clean, Intuitive UI with Powerful Transcription for Effortless Meeting Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emmanuel b. | Sales Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

What I like most about Fathom is how straightforward and clean the UI/UX is. Everything is easy to find without feeling overwhelming. I especially like the dark theme and the way my calls are organized by month. Being able to immediately see the meeting name, video, and other details makes it really easy to find a specific call when I need it.

The transcription and AI features are also very useful because they save me from having to take detailed notes during meetings. I can stay focused on the conversation and go back to the recording or transcript afterward if I need to review something.

Overall, Fathom has made it easier for me to keep track of my meetings and quickly find information from past calls. The simple interface and meeting organization are probably the features I use and appreciate the most.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I don´t have any dislikes at the moment.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Fathom, it was harder to keep track of everything discussed during calls. I would have to rely on my notes or go back through an entire recording to find a specific part of a meeting.

With Fathom, my calls are automatically transcribed, and I can quickly search through the transcript or jump to specific parts of the video. The meeting takeaways are also helpful because they give me a quick summary of the main points without having to review the entire call.

This saves me time and makes it much easier to go back to previous conversations when I need to confirm something, remember a decision, or review what was discussed. It also lets me focus more on the conversation instead of worrying about taking detailed notes.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom has been a huge time-saver for me. The auto-join feature and the transcripts I receive after each call mean I don’t have to worry about remembering everything or taking detailed notes during meetings.

The UI is clean and easy to use, and the overall experience feels smooth and intuitive. The integrations make it easy to fit Fathom into my existing workflow, while the performance has been reliable and consistent.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, the time saved on note-taking and meeting follow-ups makes it well worth it. The AI features are especially useful for capturing key points and making meetings easier to review afterward.

Also the support is pretty quick in resolving issues.

Overall, Fathom has made my meetings more efficient and helped me stay focused on the conversation instead of worrying about taking notes. Great product! Thank you, Fathom! 🙌

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

N/A as of now, it’s a great tool. My only concern is that sometimes I don’t receive the email right after the meeting ends; it ends up arriving in my inbox the next day.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom solves the problem of having to manually take notes and remember everything discussed in meetings. Features like auto-join, transcripts, and AI-generated insights let me stay focused on the conversation instead of worrying about capturing every detail. It also makes it much easier to revisit key points and follow-ups after a call, which saves me a lot of time and helps make my meetings more productive.

What I dislike about Fathom is that there is nothing to dislike. It has been a great tool for my needs!

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom is solving the problem of capturing and organizing meeting information. It allows me to easily access meeting recordings and summaries, which I can refer to at any time in the future. ### 4. Effortless Meeting Summaries, Highlights, and Transcripts That Save Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mia C. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

What I like best about Fathom is how it automatically provides highlights, a full transcript, and a clear summary of the meeting. It saves me a lot of time because I don't have to take detailed notes while the meeting is happening, and I can easily go back and review the most important points, decisions, and action items afterward. I also really like how organized and easy to use everything is.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Sometimes the transcript isn't completely accurate, especially when people talk over each other or the audio isn't clear. I also sometimes have to go back to the recording to check the context or make sure the important details were captured correctly.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom solves the problem of having to take notes during meetings while still trying to stay focused on the conversation. It automatically records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings, making it much easier to remember important details, decisions, and action items afterward. Overall, it saves me time and lets me stay more present during meetings, instead of worrying that I might miss something important.

 ### 5. Turn conversations into strategic momentum

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

OVERVIEW:
The ability to quickly turn around call recaps with notes and actionable follow-up items to other meeting attendees - especially potential customers or strategic partners. I love the transcription feature with the ability to highlight specific sections & add notes!

HIGHLIGHTS:
🌟Create customized report templates to generate branded summaries you can share with clients and/or other meeting participants.

🌟You can also export your AI reports to Word to save locally, email to stakeholders, etc.

🌟Create an automation using API to export meeting summaries and transcripts as markdown files you can save locally or attach to contact records in your CRM. (I did this, and it's saving me hours of work!)

🌟I especially like the feature that allows me to export identified tasks to Asana, my project and workflow management platform, where we can assign action items, track progress, and hold team members accountable.

🌟Ever have moments in your meeting where someone says something amazing? Wish you could easily and quickly "clip" that moment and share it to your social feeds or your team? You can with Fathom!

FATHOM VS. OTHER NOTE-TAKERS
Compared to other note-taking platforms, Fathom makes sharing recorded meetings and notes exceptionally user-friendly while keeping your internal notes private (because who needs another login to a tool they'll never use, e.g., Fireflies notetaker)

Fathom has continually invested in ongoing improvements, feature development, and deployment, which means I have access to cutting-edge tools that make growing my business easier.

I highly recommend Fathom and find it to be the most feature-rich and user-friendly meeting recording and note-taking tool on the market.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

1. Transcription is relatively accurate, but it can generate incorrect speaker assignments if you tend to talk fast or talk over each other.
2. I'd like to be able to open the notetaker app as a stand-alone tool when I'm not recording a meeting I attend or in instances when my notetaker isn't authorized to join a 3rd party meeting. For example, being able to use the app during an in-person meeting or phone call (with attendee permission, of course).

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most people record their meetings and then never do anything with the information or insights that come out of them. Fathom changes that by turning meeting notes into actionable insights automatically. It means you’re not meeting just for the sake of meeting—you’re actually putting that knowledge to work for yourself and the people you meet with, without creating extra work.

The biggest benefit of Fathom for me is how quickly I can turn around call recaps, complete with notes and clear follow-up items, and share them with other attendees—especially potential customers or strategic partners. I also really like the transcription, along with the ability to highlight specific sections and add my own notes. I’ve gotten positive feedback from attendees when I share the recap afterward. Another nice bonus is that the app automatically pulls out the questions asked during the meeting and drops them into organized lists.

With the enhanced AI features, I can create professional reports and summaries, and build a more comprehensive feedback loop with my clients, strategic partners, and other stakeholders.

 ### 6. Seamless Real-Time Meeting Summaries That Save Hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelina C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

What I love most about Fathom is how seamlessly it captures and summarizes meetings in real-time. The AI-generated summaries and action items are remarkably accurate, saving me hours of manual note-taking every week. Being able to highlight key moments live during a call and instantly share video clips with team members or clients in Slack/email completely transforms our post-meeting workflow.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Occasionally, the AI summary might misinterpret technical jargon or niche industry terms, requiring a quick manual edit. Additionally, while the automated integrations work well, having more granular control over customized summary templates for different meeting types would be a great future enhancement.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Fathom, we struggled with split focus during meetings—trying to engage fully with clients while simultaneously taking detailed notes. Now, Fathom handles all note-taking and action item extraction automatically. This allows us to be 100% present in conversations, saves roughly 3–5 hours per week per team member in post-meeting admin work, and ensures critical follow-ups never slip through the cracks.

 ### 7. Easy to Configure, Great Value—Fathom Is the Best Recorder Out There

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolay B. | Business Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Easy to adapt to and configure, with reasonable pricing and great features. Honestly, there’s no other service that does everything Fathom does. It’s the best recorder out there!

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

It's not that I dislike it, but more like a feature I would like to see. I'm using Zapier for an integration to notion to turn action items to tasks with certain standards and to create a meetings database, but I know this is already underway so I'm looking forward to seeing those features come up!

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attention to meetings, brainstorming, and project scope: having a live discussion about something is often much easier and better than trying to put everything in writing. It also gives me peace of mind knowing that everything is recorded, with a high-fidelity transcript and clear action items. All of this makes the process much more enjoyable, and nobody has to worry about taking notes during meetings.

 ### 8. Accurate Summaries, Handy Action Items, and Smooth Tool Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oksana L. | Partnerships Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

We use it to take notes during conversations with our clients and within the team, and we’re really happy with how accurate the AI summaries are.

It makes every call more effective because it removes the distraction of manual note-taking, so I can stay 100% focused on the conversation itself.

It’s also intuitive and easy to use. I especially like the Action Items in the summary, along with the option to integrate with the tools we need.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

At the moment, I’m happy with it. I’m especially glad it has started creating summaries in my native language; before, it only supported a few languages.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Fathom, we lacked a centralized repository for team and client calls or training sessions. Fathom streamlined this entirely. It acts as a consistent source of truth, helping our team stay aligned on tech tasks and project issues discussed during meetings.
Our previous note-taking tools didn’t meet our expectations when it came to transcription accuracy or the overall quality of the meeting summaries. Fathom, however, processes calls very quickly, and that speed has been a noticeable improvement for us.

 ### 9. Accessible, Intuitive, and Incredibly Efficient—Fathom Delivers Real Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ma. Bless A. | Program Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

As a blind user who relies on a screen reader, I appreciate how accessible and intuitive it is. It helps me work more efficiently, with clear recordings and accurate, reliable notes and summaries. I've tried several similar tools, but none have come close to the value Fathom offers.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Honestly, my biggest complaint is that I didn't discover Fathom sooner. It removes all my excuses to procrastinate because my meeting notes, summaries, and action items are ready the moment a meeting ends. I just wish I had found it earlier—I could have saved so much time.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Fathom, I had to rely on several different apps to accomplish what Fathom now does in one place. Even then, the transcriptions and summaries were often not as accurate or reliable, so I still had to manually review, correct, and rewrite them, which took a significant amount of extra time. Another major challenge was accessibility and compatibility. As a blind screen reader user, I often had to go through trial and error just to find a tool that I could navigate independently. With Fathom, I no longer have to worry about that. It is accessible, reliable, and has made my workflow much more efficient.

 ### 10. Simple, Seamless Integrations and a Great Overall UX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filipe F. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Simplicity, how seamlessly it connects with other tools, the integrations, and the overall UX are what I like most. I used the paid version for about a year, but due to financial circumstances I couldn’t keep it up. Still, I’m looking forward to getting back to it as soon as I can. <3

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I don’t think there was anything in particular. At the time, the only thing was that I needed Zapier to connect it with Notion, but even then it wasn’t a major drawback for me.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As someone with ADHD, I struggle with memory, so Fathom plays a big role in my daily routine, especially when it comes to meetings. I work as a software engineer, and I have Fathom’s MCP connected, which, by the way, has solved my integration issues since I use it alongside Claude/Codex/etc...

 ### 11. Precise Transcripts, Clickable Summaries, and Powerful Call Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soledad T. | Sales & Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I have already recommended Fathom to a colleague. I love the precision for the transcription, and the summary. The fact that when you click a part of the summary it takes you to that exact part of the recording. I love not to take notes any more and have the mind at ease that Im not missing anything. I love the next steps and follow up. The Questions feature is great for us to compare with other calls and create more structured scripts with answers that we see are getting better reactions for customers. Also useful for "most common questions" and to help properly identify the pain points on a CX. An excellent tool for a manager to analyze calls from a ramping rep

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I do not use the "ask Fathom" tool. As I find its better to integrate the whole call, with more context, like the CRM and email. therefore I ask Claude to analyze the call transcript with all other context. The integration with Claude is very usefull.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reliability for Note taking, summary, Identifying questions.

 ### 12. Stay Present in Zoom Meetings with Fathom’s Reliable Notes and Recaps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Braden S. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom allows me to be fully present during Zoom meetings instead of dividing my attention between the conversation and taking notes. The interface is straightforward, and the Zoom integration makes it easy to record and transcribe meetings without adding much friction to my workflow. After each meeting, I receive an email recap with the transcript, summary, and key takeaways, making it much easier to revisit important details and follow up on action items.

The transcription and AI-generated summaries are generally accurate and save me considerable time, although they still benefit from a quick human review for names, context, or nuanced conversations. Performance has been reliable, and I haven’t needed much support because onboarding and everyday use are intuitive. For the price, Fathom provides strong value by reducing administrative work and allowing me to concentrate on the people and ideas in the meeting rather than documenting everything myself.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

There’s not much I dislike about Fathom. Occasionally, a meeting host won’t allow the Fathom notetaker to join, so the meeting isn’t recorded or transcribed. That isn’t really a fault of the software, but it is the main limitation I’ve encountered while using it. Otherwise, Fathom has been reliable and easy to use.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom solves the problem of trying to take thorough notes while also being fully present during a meeting. It records and transcribes the conversation, identifies key points and provides a useful recap afterward. This saves me time, helps me remember important details and action items, and allows me to focus more closely on the person I’m meeting with instead of constantly writing notes.

 ### 13. Seamless Zoom Integration and Effortless Call Recording

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary A. | Manager, Client onboarding, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I really like the app’s recording feature during Zoom calls because it helps me reference the conversations I have with my clients. I also love the integration with Zoom overall. The UX is straightforward, and my entire team has been able to adopt it easily and then just forget about it.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I find the app a little annoying after downloading it. Hosts can decline the notetaker, and if I don’t notice that it hasn’t been let in, I forget and then no meeting gets recorded. I just wish it were a bit more embedded into the overall process.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clients sometimes like to make things up after the fact. Since we work with our clients over 18 months, it can be hard to recall exactly what was discussed. Having a transcript for each call makes it easy to reference past conversations, which is really lovely.

 ### 14. Fathom Makes Meetings Effortless with Automatic Notes, Tasks, and Recordings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Myllena O. | Education Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom has been a great addition to our agency. It makes team meetings and training sessions more effective because we can rely on it to record the call, capture the necessary notes, and identify tasks that come out of the conversation.

The feature that automatically emails the notes, tasks, and recording to attendees is also a big help in our day-to-day work. It ensures everyone has the meeting resources without us having to do any manual follow-up, and it reduces the risk of accidentally leaving someone out.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Fathom doesn’t have much to dislike, but I do miss having more options for recording apps to use it with. In our agency, Ring Central is a big one, but unfortunately Fathom doesn’t work with it. Right now, that’s really my main complaint: I wish there were a Fathom browser extension that could record meetings from any platform, no matter what meeting link is used.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom made every call more effective, reduced the need to take manual notes, and helped the team stay focused on the task or issue being discussed.

Before using it, we struggled because we didn’t have a consistent place to record our training sessions and team updates. We often had to rely on memory alone or on manual notes from attendees, which weren’t always reliable or complete.

 ### 15. Effortless, Proactive Meeting Notes That Let Me Focus on the Conversation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber A. | Software Architect and Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

It’s integrated and easy to use. I don’t really have to think about it—it just shows up to my meetings like a good little notetaker, makes it very clear to everyone who’s present (ethical), and stays proactive.

At first, I was surprised that it sometimes gave me signals when I was only talking 3% of the time, or when I was over 50%. But it turned out to be a pretty interesting cue, and it can help stop me from going off on a tangent.

Because I trust Fathom to capture the key moments, and because of the Highlights feature, I am free to focus on the conversation, confident that important details and action items will be there for me later.

I LOVE the ability to go back to Fathom a week later and be like, "Why did Alfred say he needed XYZ?" and it will help me recall all context.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I haven't found anything I dislike about it yet, except that with work associates we each show up with our own Fathom notetaker which seems redundant. Would be nice if they could figure out that we're all at the same company and can just have one scribe.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It captures all action items and commitments during the meeting, summarizes decisions, and allows the people in the meeting to focus on what is being said. We engage better rather than constantly taking notes.

 ### 16. Fathom is a MUST HAVE Keeps Me Present in Meetings While Capturing Key Notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom has been helpful for the obvious reasons. It lets me stay focused on what is actually being discussed instead of trying to listen, take notes, and capture every important detail at the same time. I can be more present in the conversation and still have a useful record afterward to reference for key points, decisions, and follow-up items.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

One improvement I would suggest is continuing to make post-meeting follow-up even easier. The summaries and action items are already helpful, but anything that makes next steps, and follow-ups easier to review, or export would make the tool next level.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets me stay focused on what’s actually being discussed, instead of trying to listen, take notes, and capture every important detail all at once. It also keeps meeting notes more consistent and accurate, without relying on one person to write everything down while still trying to participate in the discussion. As a result, I can be more present in the conversation and still have a useful record to refer back to afterward.

 ### 17. Exceptional Meeting Summaries and Notes, Seamless Meeting Recordings

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom being a note taker and meeting recorder, the UI is minimal as expected which means it does not distract or cover over my main windows or work. The UI simply lists the current and recent meetings with some common options which is brilliant. The app. integrates efficiently by joining my Teams meeting automatically. Also, the option of having only 1 Fathom agent per meeting when multiple team members are using Fathom is pretty good as it prevents multiple recordings of the same meeting. The performance in terms of listing key points and todos from meetings is exceptional and I think it uses AI to do this as the text in the notes from Fathom is not verbatim from the meeting. Overall it saves me a lot of time which I was otherwise using to note down key points or todos from a meeting, causing sometimes in meetings to miss some points while manually noting down. Fathom has resolved this exceptionally.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Initially in multi user meetings, we had 4-5 Fathom agents for different users joining in and essentially duplicating the meeting recording and notes. We had to ask the engineering team to look into resolving this, and the solution of 1 Fathom agent per meeting resolved it. I believe this option should be more visible in the UI or in another way.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The basic problem that Fathom has solved is that I no longer have to note down important points during a meeting or todos. This was costing me time during the meeting and often after the meeting for refining the notes. Also earlier, sometimes during the meeting I was missing some points while manually taking notes. With Fathom, the benefit is 2 fold. Firstly, notes are automatically taken and summarized with separate lists for key points and todos for each member. Additionally, the meeting is recorded for later review. Also, Fathom allows me the option for some meetings to automatically send notes to members after the meeting along with the esy share option for team members.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

That it is lightweight, easy to use, versatile and helps me pay attention in a meeting rather than having to make notes. Which is especially hard for me because I am blind, so I use a screen reader. Therefore, if I have to make notes myself, I have to listen to the speaker, my screen reader, and also have mental energy and attention left to try and summerize what I'm taking in.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

There are some screen reader accessibility issues with it, some elements being unlabeled. It's not impossible to use, but cumbersome at certain points. If more fixes were made to get the app to follow WCAG guide lines, I would appreciate it.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently conducting customer interviews to Annelise and segment our market. Fathom is instrumental in helping us draw key insights; such as key choke-points for our potential customers when attempting to define the problem.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I am in meetings a lot of the day, often I am sharing my screen to demo and trying to take notes on another screen for follow-up. Fathom allows me to be fully present with the client with the ability to review the call after.
Love that it emails a summary to all participants after call, one less thing I have to remember to do.
Also like that the summary has links that take me directly to the spot in the recording where that item was discussed. You can also send out a specific line item to people that weren't on the call.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I don't like that Fathom shows as on video in Teams, takes a lot of space and looks like I am on the call from 2 devices.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves for me taking notes while having discussions and being actively involved.
Solves me summarizing my own messy notes in order to send to clients after a call.
Allows me to send specific section to support personnel.

 ### 20. Excellent Free Plan, Solid Support, and a robust MCP

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom’s free plan is excellent - one of the very best on the market. Onboarding and support have been solid. The user interface is mostly straightforward.

Meeting transcripts and summaries are generated and delivered extremely quickly, usually within a minute or two after the meeting ends. And they are for the most part, very well structured and contain the right amount of detail.

Finally, Fathom’s MCP is excellent- it’s been essential for tying Fathom into other tools in our software ecosystem.

We are new to Fathom but it has already become a permanent and core part of our enterprise stack.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

There are a few quirks in Fathom's UX that make some basic functions harder to find than they should be. E.g. sometimes I have found that it is not possible to minimise the floating Fathom app in a meeting. While other times, the function is available. I also wish it were easier to add Fathom to an unscheduled meeting in Teams. So far, I haven’t been able to find a way to do that. It would be great if Fathom could release a Teams app that’s accessible directly from the Teams meeting UI.

My only issue with the AI meeting summaries is how actions are presented: they’re split between “Action Items” at the top, the summary body itself, and in “Next Steps” at the end. It doesn’t feel clean, and it still requires trawling through the summary to make sure you’ve captured every action.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through Fathom's MCP, we have been able to automate creating meeting actions in our project management app. This has removed quite a bit of manual work and closed the gap between raising actions and tracking them.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

It lets me focus 100% on my client because I’m not constantly writing notes. Afterward, I can take the transcript and run it through AI to capture any action items.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I have not found any downsides to the software

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom eliminates the need to manually take notes during client meetings, which lets me stay fully present and focused on the person I'm talking with instead of splitting my attention between listening and writing. That's especially valuable in tax planning conversations where clients are sharing complex financial details I need to actually absorb, not just transcribe. Beyond note-taking, I also use Fathom to review how I'm performing in meetings, which helps me sharpen my approach over time and be more effective with clients.

 ### 22. Fathom: Effortless Background Recording with Accurate Call Summaries

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Honestly, the absolute best part is that I don't have to scramble to take notes anymore. Fathom just sits in the background, records, and puts together a surprisingly accurate summary right after the call ends.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Sometimes having the bot physically join the call as a "participant" can throw off clients or people who aren't used to it. It usually requires a quick 10-second explanation at the start of the meeting so people don't think they're being spied on.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Fathom, managing call notes was a massive headache. I could have a great conversation and then waste 15 minutes manually updating records and setting up follow-ups. The biggest problem it solves is the data-entry work: it captures everything accurately and integrates seamlessly with my existing workflows. The main benefit? It frees me up to focus on strategy and building things, rather than acting as a data-entry clerk.

 ### 23. Essential for Sales Calls and Follow-Up

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom has become a core part of my sales and partnership workflow. It automatically records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings with very little setup, which saves significant time after every call.

What I find most valuable is the quality of the AI-generated summaries and action items. Instead of spending time taking notes, I can focus entirely on the conversation. After the meeting, I get a structured summary, key discussion points, follow-ups, and next steps that are easy to share with prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

There is very little to dislike. Occasionally, some industry-specific terminology or company names require minor corrections in the transcript, especially during highly technical discussions.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom solves the problem of manual note-taking and post-meeting administration.

Before using Fathom, I spent considerable time capturing notes, writing summaries, and organizing follow-up actions after sales, partnership, and customer meetings. Now those tasks are largely automated.

The biggest benefit is that I can be fully present during conversations while still maintaining a reliable record of every discussion. This has improved follow-up quality, reduced administrative work, and increased the number of meetings I can effectively manage each week.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

1) The interface is really easy to use.
2) It integrates with your Google, Zoom & Teams calendar seamlessly and the app you install also pops up once your meeting is about to start, giving you a reminder for your meeting
3) You get your full transcript, the video recording and the summary of the meeting, regardless of the platform you used and the length of the meeting.
4) Guess what? Even on the free tier, all these services are still available endlessly
5) I have also noticed that its native transcription works more accurately out of the 3 I tried.
6) After your meeting, it automatically sends you and other participants the summary
7) That summary is sent within 3 minutes, and you can also customise who gets
8) And yes, when you newly create an account, there are interactive video lessons that teach you how to use the fathom.video notetaker's app and web interface

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Ummm... you cannot eat your cake and have it back.
The full video recording of your meeting is saved to the cloud. So if you are not comfortable with that, then that's the only downside I know

I have not tried requesting them to delete a recording before though. You can try

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes other notetakers fail me. Seriously.
But fathom? It never does that. Never
It even saved me yesterday again for a virtual interview conducted. I did not know that Teams did not enable transcripts

 ### 25. Outstanding AI Meeting Summaries, Seamless Integrations, and Real Strategic Insights

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

**UI / UX**
Exceptionally easy to use. The interface is clean, intuitive, and requires almost no training. Our team adopted it quickly, and it became part of our workflow almost immediately.

**Integrations**
Fathom works brilliantly with our wider tech stack, but what has been particularly powerful is using it alongside Claude. We can ask Claude questions about meetings that happened months ago and instantly surface decisions, themes, and insights without having to search through notes manually.

**Performance**
Reliable, accurate, and fast. Meeting summaries, action points, and transcripts are consistently high quality, helping us stay focused during conversations rather than taking notes.

**Pricing / ROI**
The ROI is outstanding. It saves hours every week and is free for charities, which is remarkable. For a small organisation, the value far exceeds the cost.

**Support / Onboarding**
Very straightforward to set up and use. The learning curve is minimal, making it easy for teams to get value from day one.

**AI / Intelligence**
This is where Fathom really shines. Beyond summarising meetings, it helps us identify patterns and themes across conversations. We can analyse how much time we spend on different topics, spot emerging strategic issues that we had not consciously recognised, and uncover recurring themes across months of meetings. It genuinely helps move our work forward and improves decision-making.

I've recommended Fathom to many other charities and nonprofits. It is one of the most useful AI tools we use.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

The only area where Fathom could improve is name recognition. As an international charity working across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe, many of our meetings include names that are less common in English-speaking contexts. Occasionally, Fathom misspells names in transcripts and summaries. For example, one of my colleagues is called Ksenia, and her name is sometimes transcribed incorrectly.
The impact is relatively minor because the overall transcript quality is excellent, but it does mean that I occasionally need to review summaries before sharing them externally. It would be helpful if Fathom allowed users to build a custom organisation dictionary or learn names from previous meetings so that accuracy improves over time.
That said, this is a small issue in an otherwise outstanding product. The AI summaries, ease of use, integrations, and strategic insights more than compensate for the occasional spelling error. In particular, combining Fathom with Claude has been transformative for our organisation. Months after a meeting has taken place, we can analyse discussions, identify recurring themes, uncover issues that were emerging beneath the surface, and understand how our team is spending its time. These insights have genuinely improved our decision-making and strategic planning.
I've recommended Fathom to many other charities. The fact that it offers a free plan for nonprofits makes it even more valuable, and it remains one of the most useful AI tools we use.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing Fathom, we struggled with internal communication and meeting follow-up. Important decisions, actions, and discussions could be interpreted differently by different people, and someone always had to spend time writing notes and circulating them afterwards. As a growing international charity, this created inefficiencies and sometimes led to misunderstandings.

Now, meeting summaries, decisions, and action points are available almost immediately after a meeting. This has significantly improved accountability, alignment, and communication across our team. When there is any uncertainty about what was agreed, we can quickly refer back to the meeting record rather than relying on memory. The result is fewer misunderstandings, better follow-through, and a considerable saving in staff time every week.

We have tested other note-taking tools, including Microsoft's built-in meeting notes, but we consistently find Fathom's accuracy to be superior. The AI summaries are concise, reliable, and genuinely useful.

The platform is also very thoughtful in its design. It is unobtrusive during meetings and automatically notifies participants in advance, giving them the opportunity to opt out if they prefer not to be recorded.

One of the most valuable features for us is the ability to combine Fathom with Claude. Months after a meeting has taken place, we can analyse conversations across multiple meetings, identify recurring themes, spot emerging strategic issues, understand how time is being allocated, and uncover patterns that were not obvious at the time. This has strengthened our decision-making and strategic planning.

The only improvement I would suggest is better recognition of international names. Because we work across many countries, names are occasionally transcribed incorrectly. The impact is small, but a custom organisation dictionary that learns names over time would make an already excellent product even better.

Overall, Fathom has become an essential part of how we work. It is easy to use, delivers exceptional value, and has improved communication, accountability, and organisational learning across our team.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Easiness to integrate into my meetings, Free Plan gives me enough features/freedom. I like that I don't have to worry about taking notes during my meetings and it improves my focus during meetings. The AI summary afterwards helps me a lot to get clear on what matters and what actions follow next.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Sometimes the Notetaker doesn't join my meetings by itself and I have to manually trigger it. Could be bug or setup issue.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves a lot of time but more so improves my focus during meetings. A lot of times I worried that I would miss certain ideas or tasks when I don't write them down immediately. Now, I can focus on clients, the meeting itself and check off tasks afterwards

I like how easy it is to add and remove from the meetings. I am constantly doing back to back meetings and it's easy to reset. I also like the recording functions. Yes, I'm happy so far. If the Slack integration doesn't work, I'll find another.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I'd love the ability to share a folder with team members so I can move recordings into it without having to share them individually. I am trying to get the Slack automation to work as well but I think I'm missing something.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated recordings. In the past, we'd need to use Zoom recordings and upload and download. Now, it's just automated.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

What I like most about Fathom is how easy it is to use. The call recordings, transcripts, and summaries make it really easy to go back and review conversations without having to take a ton of notes during the call.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

There really isn’t much I dislike. If anything, some of the AI summaries can occasionally miss a little context, but overall it does a really solid job.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom helps me stay focused on the conversation instead of worrying about taking detailed notes during every call. Having the recording, transcript, and summary afterward makes it easy to go back, pull action items, and make sure nothing gets missed.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I love that it store video that I can share with customers (it will even auto-share if I want it to), makes detailed, organized notes, and links each note to the timestamp in the video so I can immediately jump to it. The AI that writes the meeting notes does a great job of summarizing what's important, some of the best I've seen. I didn't need much support for onboarding because it's very intuitive to use. It integrates perfectly with HubSpot and will automatically transfer my meeting notes, and integrates well with Claude as well. The price is reasonable as well. I've never had any issues with performance. I don't think it's ever been down when I needed to use it.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

The only annoyance is the way the icon presents on the screen. It typically gets in the way of clicking other buttons, but you can slide it around and move it out of the way, so it's a minor annoyance. I'm not sure how else they would display it to make it better.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a way to elegantly and in an organized manner share recordings as well as notes with my customers and record them for myself. Fathom does all of that automatically, and I don't need to spend hours of work doing it after each call.

 ### 30. Fathom Is a Huge Time-Saver for Accurate Meeting Summaries and Action Items

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I've been using Fathom daily, and it has made a big difference in my workflow. It automatically records important meetings, creates accurate summaries, and captures key action items, so I can stay focused on the conversation instead of taking notes. The integration with Claude AI is especially helpful, allowing me to quickly turn meeting recordings into detailed summaries, training documents, and reports. It's a huge time-saver and helps ensure nothing important gets missed.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

The UI could be a little better as manual recording at request should be added in the main page.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom solves the problem of manual note-taking, missed information, and the time spent creating meeting summaries after calls. It automatically records meetings, captures key discussion points, action items, and decisions, allowing me to stay fully engaged during conversations instead of focusing on taking notes.

For me, the biggest benefit is the time it saves. After training sessions, client meetings, or internal discussions, I can quickly review the AI-generated summary instead of going through the entire recording. The integration with Claude AI helps me turn meeting recordings into detailed training reports, summaries, SOPs, and follow-up documents within minutes. This has improved my productivity, reduced the chances of missing important details, and made knowledge sharing across the team much easier.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom eliminates the need for manual note-taking by automatically recording, transcribing, and summarizing meetings. It accurately captures key discussion points, decisions, and action items, so nothing important gets missed. The searchable meeting history makes it easy to revisit past conversations and decisions whenever you need to. Its seamless integration with meeting platforms also helps teams stay focused and productive during discussions.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Fathom’s meeting summaries can occasionally miss important context or the nuance of certain discussions. I’ve also noticed that some of the more advanced features and integrations are limited to higher-tier plans. Because of this, the tool may still require a post-meeting review to confirm that action items are captured accurately and nothing important is overlooked. Additionally, recording and transcribing sensitive meetings may raise privacy concerns for some users.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom addresses the hassle of taking notes manually during meetings by automatically recording, transcribing, and summarizing conversations. It helps make sure important decisions, action items, and key discussion points don’t get overlooked, which reduces the time I spend on documentation and post-meeting follow-ups. As a result, I can stay fully engaged in the conversation while still having a dependable record to refer back to later.

The Summaries provided from Fathom have been so useful. I am a new Executive Director at a non-profit, and am having a lot of meetings with Board members and vendors. I can really focus on them and our conversation, while Fathom takes notes, produces summaries and creates action items. It's made my transition into the organization so much easier!

It is very intuitive, and its been easy to use. I integrates into our Google Workspace and helps me start the meeting on time and get Fathom into the session immediately.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I have not encountered any issues. The AI has been very smart and accurate, and I'm happy with its overall performance!

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love being able to focus on people during my meetings, and not be distracted in taking notes. It saves me time in producing minutes with action items that I barely have to edit, and can share easily with participants.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I absolutely love this note taker and all the features it has. The AI mode has been incredibly helpful for me, especially during client calls. If I ever forget something that was mentioned, I can simply go back and ask the AI instead of having to search through pages of notes or rewatch the entire call. It gives me the information right away, which saves me so much time.

Another feature I love is the action items summary at the end of each call. It helps me stay organized, keep myself on track, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

The follow-up email templates are also amazing. They make it so much easier and faster to send professional recap emails to clients after meetings.

Overall, this tool has made my workflow so much more efficient, organized, and stress-free. Highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

nothing, honestly. It's super easy to use.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s efficient, and the fact that it integrates with Google Meet or Zoom is amazing. It automatically joins all my calls without me having to add it to the meeting.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom is very easy to use and has quickly become a valuable tool in my workflow. The note-taking is efficient and accurate, helping me capture key points from meetings without distraction. The integration with other platforms, such as HubSpot, is also very useful and makes it much easier to keep records and follow-up actions organised. Overall, it is a simple, effective, and well-integrated solution.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I have not found any obvious downsides so far. Overall, it is a simple, effective, and well-integrated solution.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom helps solve the problem of capturing accurate meeting notes while still being able to stay fully engaged in the conversation. It reduces the need for manual note-taking and makes it much easier to review key points, decisions, and follow-up actions afterwards.

The HubSpot integration is particularly useful, as it helps keep meeting records and customer updates organised in the right place without duplicating effort. Overall, it saves time, improves follow-up, and helps ensure important details are not missed.

 ### 36. Flawless workflow fit with fast, accurate transcripts and smart AI summaries

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom integrates flawlessly with my workflow. While my non-digital clients just see a standard Zoom or Google Meet call, Fathom works quietly in the background.

The interface is clean and distraction-free. Fathom’s UI makes it effortless to organize call playlists and locate transcripts without a steep learning curve.

Performance is rock-solid. The transcription accuracy, even when dealing with technical jargon is great. The software loads instantly, and the call processing takes few minutes, meaning I never delay my client follow-ups.

Hence the ROI is clear and immediate. In a low-margin, high-stakes service industry, time is money. Fathom saves me hours of manual data entry per week.

The AI intelligence is impressive, even in the free plan. The standard summaries are great, but the custom templates will allow me to structure summaries exactly how my white-label partners expect them. Furthermore, the 'Ask Fathom' feature acts like a smart assistant; I can ask it to extract specific sentences discussed weeks ago without re-watching hours of video.

Finaly when I deliver a new digital solution, onboarding non-digital users can be a major challenge. With Fathom, I can easily share targeted video clips of our calls to provide exact, contextual help. This visual, step-by-step guidance allows my clients to easily understand the digital tool, overcome tech anxiety, and get off to a much smoother, confident start.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

If I had to nitpick, the UI colors can feel a bit too flashy or high-contrast when using the dark theme. However, this is a minor subjective critique. The platform's overall layout is so simple, intuitive, and clean that the color palette never gets in the way of usability or stops me from getting my work done.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom solves two problems: information loss during technical handovers and digital friction for my less-tech-savvy SME clients.

Instead of overwhelming traditional small business clients with complex written manuals, I can instantly share bite-sized, contextual video clips from our actual calls. This visual, step-by-step guidance removes their tech anxiety and helps them adopt new digital tools much faster.

For my business, it eliminates manual reporting by automatically structuring technical notes into clean summaries I can immediately share, saving me hours of admin work weekly.

 ### 37. Takes the Pressure Off Meetings with Clear Summaries, Transcripts, and Action Items

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

I really appreciate the free tier and I like the app a lot. What I like most about Fathom is how much pressure it takes off during meetings—I can stay focused on the conversation without worrying about taking notes. The summaries afterward are also easy to refer back to later. I do refer to the transcripts a whole lot and the ability to revisit the meeting is great.

I’ve also found the action items section especially useful. It makes it much easier to understand who discussed what, who mentioned which point, and what the key takeaways from the meeting were. The features for auto record and auto share the auto meeting with options for internal and external is great for control. I do tend to pause recording as per requirements in the meeting and the access is quite straight forward. so kudos to the design team. The interface is intuitive and straightforward, even for someone using it for the first time.

One thing I’d love to see in the future is an option for offline recording capture as well. That would really be the icing on the cake. Rest be assured I love using the product.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

One downside is that there’s no offline recording option. Competing products do offer this, but their pricing and available options are a problem. Phone-based apps also include this feature. Can Fathom be used to transcribe a meeting that was captured on a phone?

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have to capture the salient points from my meetings and reflect them in different ways for the clients to review. This app is a lifesaver and makes my role so much easier to do. The transcripts and feedback also are available right after the meeting, enabling me to migrate my info to the various ways the clients wishes to view them

 ### 38. Ask Fathom Is a Game-Changer for Searchable Meetings, Summaries, and Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin C. | Customer Support Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Ask Fathom has been a genuine game changer for me.

I lead multiple teams and have several meetings each day, so it can be difficult to remember every action point, decision, or broader discussion, especially when it comes to strategic planning. Ask Fathom gives me one central place where I can quickly search across my meetings and find what was discussed, instead of relying on my memory or digging through notes.

One of the most valuable use cases for me is being able to ask Fathom for all the key topic points from my meetings over the last week. This is incredibly useful when I need to report updates to upper management, prepare for follow-up conversations, or make sure important actions do not get missed.

The meeting summaries are also very helpful. Being able to send a clear summary to attendees, including action points, saves time and keeps everyone aligned after the meeting. It reduces the need for manual follow-up notes and helps make sure there is a shared understanding of what was agreed.

The desktop UI is excellent as well. I like that it opens just before a meeting, shows my upcoming meetings, and gives me quick access to previous meetings. I’m currently using Fathom with Microsoft Teams, and the integration has been seamless with no issues.

Another big benefit is how quickly the summary and recording are available after the meeting ends. That makes it easy to review the discussion while it is still fresh, share updates, and move straight into the next action.

Overall, Fathom has made my meeting workflow much easier, especially from a leadership and reporting perspective. It helps me stay organised, remember the important details, and spend less time manually pulling together meeting notes.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

The desktop UI for MS Windows is fixed and can’t be dragged around.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

athom solves the problem of important meeting actions and discussions being missed, forgotten, or not documented clearly after a meeting.

Before using Fathom, follow-up action items were not always easy to capture, share, or refer back to. This was especially challenging when moving between multiple meetings each day and leading different teams. Fathom helps by automatically capturing the key discussion points, action items, and decisions from each meeting, which makes it much easier to keep everyone aligned afterwards.

The biggest benefit for me is being able to consolidate high-level discussions across multiple meetings and use that information when reporting to ELT or upper management. Instead of manually going through notes or trying to remember what was discussed, I can quickly review summaries, ask Fathom for key topics, and turn that into clear updates.

It saves time, improves accountability, and gives me more confidence that important actions and strategic discussions are not being missed.

 ### 39. Clear and well-organized reports that make it easy to remember the most important things

**AI Translated:** This review has been translated from Spanish; Castilian using AI.

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

The report generated by Fathom is very explicit and is organized correctly. Although it may sometimes contain a spelling error, the summary allows the user to remember the most important points of the meeting at the end of the day or the week.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Sometimes it takes a little while to join Teams meetings. Also, the space it occupies on the participants' screen could be a bit more discreet. Other than that, I have no complaints.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It removes the need for someone in the meeting to take minutes, giving us the opportunity for everyone to pay attention to the speaker or the conversations. The Fathom report is excellent, very comprehensive, and easy to follow.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

What I like best about Fathom is how easy it makes it to stay focused during meetings without worrying about taking detailed notes. Having the meeting automatically recorded, transcribed, and summarized is extremely useful because I can go back afterward and quickly find the important information I need. It saves me a lot of time, helps me stay more engaged in the conversation, and gives me a reliable record to reference later. Overall, the biggest upside for me is the combination of convenience, organization, and time savings.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

One downside of Fathom is that the AI-generated summaries aren’t always perfect, so I still find myself reviewing the transcript to make sure important details weren’t missed or taken out of context. I also wish there were more customization options for how the summaries and notes are formatted for different types of meetings. Overall, it saves me a lot of time, but there is still some manual work needed afterward to get the notes exactly how I want them.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom helps solve the problem of trying to take detailed notes while also staying engaged in a meeting. It allows me to focus on the conversation knowing that I’ll have a recording, transcript, and summary to reference afterward. From a business standpoint, it saves me time on documentation and follow-up, helps me keep better records of client conversations, and makes it easier to pull out important details and next steps. Overall, it helps me stay more organized and efficient while giving my clients more of my attention during meetings.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

The Ai notetaking features
It is a great listener and records the video.
It eliminates me needing to take notes, which I take a lot of typically
It is simple to use. I press a button and it records
I like that it keeps the recordings in the database and not on my laptop. Way less space to take up
I am using it more often

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

Sometimes the Fathom icon to add it to the room does not appear, I have to manually add it, and sometimes it still won't appear. Sometimes it takes a while to appear in the waiting room. Maybe I am doing something wrong

Sometimes the notes aren't the most accurate. Like it doubled the price I was giving to my client... maybe that was a sign to raise my prices haha.

It can be a little overwhelming knowing with all the features and how to utilize them properly.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to take notes (my handwriting ain't pretty ya'll)
It sends the notes to others, really helpful for meetings with potential and current clients

 ### 44. Indispensable Note-Taking Tool with Seamless Integration and Smart Summaries

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist working with very complex cases, excellent note-taking is a must for my practice to satisfy both local and European legal requirements. Generally speaking, Fathom is an excellent and easy-to-use note-taker. Once set up using the PC app, I was able to seamlessly integrate Fathom into my client journey workflow using both Zoom and Google Meet.

The ease of accessing the summary, full transcript, and recorded video is brilliantly implemented. The automatically generated Action Items are extremely helpful; having the option to copy these items and create an AI-generated follow-up email is a fantastic time-saver.

The summary itself is excellent, broken down into four clear areas: Meeting Purpose, Key Takeaways, Topics, and Next Steps. These Next Steps are also smartly allocated to the person responsible for each one. Finally, it provides a list of your questions—clicking on one plays the video at that exact moment, which is incredibly useful for review.

I have had to contact Customer support on one occasion and I found them both helpful and very knowledgeable on the issue that I was experiencing. They resolved the issue in a timely manner.

I use Fathom everyday as I work fully online and it is an indispensable tool for my practice.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

While the AI is generally impressive, being based in Europe means I work with clients who often have strong Irish, Northern Irish, or Scottish accents. Fathom occasionally struggles to transcribe these accurately compared to standard American or English accents.

I have also noticed that if people talk over one another, the system sometimes misses a speaker or attributes the text to the wrong person. Additionally, the formatting of the text exports can be a bit messy and requires some manual tidying up. Finally, while the free version is useful, I do feel the limits on it could be increased slightly to offer more value before upgrading.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary problem Fathom solves is the conflict between needing detailed legal documentation and needing to be fully present for my clients. In complex hypnotherapy cases, I cannot afford to be distracted by taking notes manually.

Fathom allows me to focus 100% on the client, knowing that every detail is being captured accurately for my records. It solves the administrative burden of compliance by automatically generating transcripts and summaries that meet my legal requirements in Europe. The ability to click a question in the log and immediately watch that part of the video is also invaluable for reviewing client cues I might have missed in the moment.

 ### 45. Lightning-Fast Meeting Joins with Easy Sharing and Smart AI Timestamps

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

The app joins meetings so fast, and it’s very easy to use, so you don’t need to be an expert. If you ever get lost, you can just copy the link, click “add link here,” and paste it to join. Once the meeting ends, it’s really easy to view everything on one page and share it. You can also use the AI chatbot to ask any question, get a copy of the transcript, and jump straight to the exact moment you’re asking about. If you ask something and the AI answers it, it even shows timestamps. Oh God, this is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

The pricing isn’t easy to find. It’s been free for so long that I’m not sure how they’re making money. I’m worried that one day they’ll lock me out and suddenly charge $25. It feels a bit too good to be true in this day and age.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve stopped taking meeting notes and started focusing on the meeting itself. I no longer have to sit down days later and try to recall what the client said. Now I get project updates instantly, and I can search what was said on a call even a month later.

I like how Fathom takes great notes for me when I am doing my Zoom calls. It integrates very easily with Zoom and is very easy to use. I have not had any problems with it and it seems like the AI is very intelligent and takes great notes. Onboarding was simple and the performance is great.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I don't like the constant pop ups. They annoy me a lot and make it quite hard to focus on my zoom meetings.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fathom makes it so that I don't have to physically take notes in zoom calls.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Ease of use. Straight forward platform to set up and add to a busy life of meetings. Program highlights all action items, summarizations, and key points extremely well. The highlight feature is my favorite as anything pertaining to a key subject in a meeting, click 1 button and its there and even labeled how you decided. Any company utilizing teams should be instituting this program to assist their employees.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I have nothing negative to say about Fathom, what so ever.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining note taking for me in meetings and being able to walk away from the meeting with key points, action items, summarizations, etc. already emailed to me. That way I can continue other tasks and do away with the stress of conversion or note organization.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

That it works reliably and accurately. It's pretty quick to get started and learn how to use, and the free tier allows you to properly trial the product in full, including their AI summary. Oh, I found the human support was exceptional too. Great value, even at their lower and free tiers.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

That the latest version of Fathom with the bot-free feature was working great on macOS Ventura for a few weeks... until it decided one day that Ventura was too old and decided to downgrade itself to the old version (without the bot-free feature) – this was something I was able to capture via screen recording and verify with the excellent support team.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple to use, accurate transcription and a useful summary that frees me to be present and focused in my meetings. Fantastic.

 ### 49. Fathom’s Free Version Is a Game-Changer with Unmatched Transcript Accuracy

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

Fathom is a game-changer. The free version is incredibly robust, and the transcript accuracy blows other voice-to-text platforms out of the water—far fewer mistakes, which saves me a ton of time. The timestamps and transcripts have saved the day for me on multiple occasions, and I’m genuinely impressed by how many useful features they include completely for free. I also love being part of the BETA group and getting to see what they build next. Kudos to the team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

I haven’t disliked anything about Fathom so far.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don’t need to take meeting notes or track action items anymore. It directly sends the MOM and summary to participants, which saves me a ton of time.

**What do you like best about Fathom?**

It just freaking works. It connects with all my meeting interfaces, it's quick to provide meeting notes, ROI is extremely high. Fathom Support has been top notch. AI transcripts are super accurate. I love how I can choose between different readouts or raw transcripts that are accurate.

**What do you dislike about Fathom?**

So far, the only issue I've found has been the UI to find meeting transcripts took a bit to learn, but it was manageable and honestly a secondary issue. I connect the MCP to my LLM of choice and have it run analysis for me, which is more useful.

**What problems is Fathom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need consistent, clear, accurate meeting notes. Fathom does that every time.
