**What do you like best about EspoCRM?**

The self-hosted architecture and extensive customization are its greatest strengths for our Berlin-based internet services firm. Hosting data on our on-prem servers fully satisfies German data residency and GDPR rules, letting us manage backups, security and server resources independently alongside our existing toolchain. We fully customize fields, views and workflows to match web performance projects and support ticketing processes. Fine-grained role-based permissions restrict access to confidential client information precisely. The core system runs stably, and our technical team found base installation simple to execute.

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

The built-in reporting features are overly simplistic. They lack cross-module data analysis, advanced filters and visual charts, so we must export raw data to external tools to analyze ticket volumes, project cycles and recurring technical issues. Integrations with dedicated web tools like Hapony and server monitoring platforms are restricted to basic APIs. We have to build and maintain custom scripts for data linking, which creates extra engineering work and unstable real-time sync. There are no official pre-built connectors to streamline cross-platform workflows.

**What problems is EspoCRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EspoCRM unifies all client profiles, project records and service tickets in one centralized system, cutting down time spent searching for scattered information and improving collaboration between engineers and client success teams. Its robust access controls and self-hosted setup also keep our operations fully aligned with local data protection laws.

What stands out most is its outstanding customizability, which we’ve fully adapted to our forest products supply chain and sustainability project workflows. The platform runs smoothly and reliably, with a well-organized data layout that lets our team pull up supplier and partner records in moments. It integrates effortlessly with our internal operational and sustainability tools, and flexible data configurations keep us compliant with EU regulations. Reliable reminders help us stay on top of supplier audits, while granular role permissions effectively secure sensitive business and compliance data.

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

The native reporting features are quite limited, so we cannot pull comprehensive analytics for supply chain performance and sustainability initiatives. There are no ready-made templates tailored to forestry partnerships or regulatory documentation. Our custom workflows are not intuitive for new hires, forcing us to build in-house training materials, which creates extra administrative work and lengthens the onboarding process.

Prior to using this CRM, supplier communications and project details were scattered across different platforms. EspoCRM consolidates all partner and supply chain data into one hub, breaking down information silos. It simplifies routine follow-up work, cuts down manual tasks, and helps our team consistently adhere to EU industry rules, lowering overall operational and compliance risks.

**What do you like best about EspoCRM?**

I appreciate EspoCRM's highly customizable contact and field configuration that fits our graphic design agency’s unique brand strategy work perfectly. I can build fully bespoke data fields tailored to our design services, creating custom tags and fields for things like preferred brand aesthetics and selected color palettes. This customization makes cross-team collaboration smooth because our designers can quickly pull summarized survey preferences from client records. The native task and reminder tools are straightforward to set up, and I can easily schedule follow-ups. Additionally, EspoCRM’s flexible workflow builders and custom grouping capabilities deliver huge value. Its custom lead grouping and tagging system works excellently alongside our Pinpoll survey activities, allowing us to segment lead groups based on poll outcomes. The customizable pipeline stage setup aligns perfectly with our end-to-end design project cycle. Custom task templates also save us consistent admin time tied to survey-originated leads.

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

The platform does not support multi-field bulk edits in a single operation. Instead of selecting an entire filtered group of survey leads and applying identical tag or status changes all at once, I’m forced to open each individual contact profile one after another to manually adjust details line by line. This repetitive single-record editing drains substantial administrative time whenever we prepare segmented lead lists for upcoming targeted email outreach, such as sending exclusive brand design package promotions to respondents who favored minimalist logo styles from our latest Pinpoll poll. On larger-scale quarterly survey rounds with hundreds of collected prospects, this inefficient workflow can eat up multiple working hours each campaign cycle and raises the chance of inconsistent tagging or human input errors across client records.

**What problems is EspoCRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EspoCRM consolidates client data and survey insights into one database, eliminating lost feedback and messy file tracking. It resolves our project tracking issues and ensures team alignment by providing up-to-date client data, which helps streamline our design workflows.

Even though some functions are paid, the free tier is amazing and lets me create unique ways to interact with my leads. I was also able to build a more personalized connection with other software.

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

Some basic functions should be included in the free tier rather than locked behind the paid plan. For example, the ability to automatically send an email when a lead submits a form should not require an upgrade.

**What problems is EspoCRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I’m using it for a raver and LGBTQ++ community, where we use it to connect with potential new members and send a newsletter.

**What do you like best about EspoCRM?**

I love the code-free customization for every workflow in EspoCRM. It's amazing how intuitive and easy it is to create custom pipeline stages, entities, and fields without needing a developer. The ability for non-technical users to build fully custom workflows quickly is a huge advantage for us. The automated workflows and triggers are also great for eliminating repetitive tasks, which is really helpful. I appreciate being able to design role-based dashboards and views with drag-and-drop ease. The initial setup was surprisingly accessible and balanced well between immediate functionality and early customization options without needing any code.

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

I find it challenging that a US B2B service team can’t trigger an SMS follow-up for a lead booking a discovery call directly within EspoCRM. We have to use a third-party tool like Twilio and then manually log the SMS in EspoCRM. Also, for a D2C brand, creating a dynamic segment for something like 'US East Coast customers who purchased in the last 30 days' to run a regional promotion is impossible without exporting a CSV from EspoCRM and uploading it to a third-party email tool.

**What problems is EspoCRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EspoCRM customizes our sales processes without coding, solving rigid pipeline issues and manual updates. It automates tasks, manages quotes, and tracks performance, unifying customer data to eliminate silos across teams.

Although the core of the CRM is very comprehensive, many tools that other platforms include by default require purchasing "Extension Packs."

Allows you to see all calls, emails, and notes related to a person on a single screen. If someone else on the team needs to attend to the client, they have all the context instantly.

I most like can see every my routine and projects. For whom works as me whit a big wallet of customer looks like a great and complete tool. I'm in trial, but, I can perceive that i'ts a good CRM tool.

I'm searching for a health score, but I cannot find this, For me is very important to have a tool that I can use also tool that will be able to mensure the customers health. If possible to implement this functionality will add so much!

If you want a tool complete, easy and cheap I recommend you trial and see how complete and professional is this.

**What do you like best about EspoCRM?**

Nice CRM. Full of features. Easy of Use. Young in the market.

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

Lack of workflow and reports. There is an advanced pack, but it is very expensive.

**Recommendations to others considering EspoCRM:**

Consider it for your implementation in a small and medium size company. Keep in mind that the reports and  workflow functionalities have to be paid apart.

People relationship management in government office.

Simple, easy to use, customize and manage for both technicals and non-technicals.


**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

Incomplete in some area. You won't notice it until you use it fully for quite a while. Most of them are non-critical.

CRM for Call Center and BPM for Operation and Accounting teams.

**What do you like best about EspoCRM?**

Clean UI.
Entity/table creation and relation.
100% Open Source.
Regular improvements.
Fast, good performance.
Simple admin panel and option.
Easy to implement.

More options would be cool, but at this point, is fine as is.

**Recommendations to others considering EspoCRM:**

Despite its lack of documentation, EspoCRM is pretty straight forward to use and implement.

**What problems is EspoCRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For small business, like real estate firms, this does the job (and well).
There are thousands (if not millions) of SMB's who still use spread sheets or local database apps, but are still lacking a centralized tool for their company. EspoCRM fits perfectly in this niche.

**What do you like best about EspoCRM?**

EspoCRM is really polyvalent. Directly in the ui and also in the code, the framework is awesome.
I would say that even if this product is an a early age, it is really promising. Of course, you will not find lots of the functionalities that are coming with typical open source CRM, but this is what I wanted. I needed something where you can build upon and fast, not something that you need to disable a lots of annoying or imperfect modules and mostly not something where you need to review a lot your settings. Also, it is so simple of use, doesn't took so much time to explain and train my colleagues, on how to use it... and this is wonderful!

**What do you dislike about EspoCRM?**

Lack of documentation. There is still some tutorial and big lines are exposed, but you will find it difficult to get to know how everything works (under the hood) without asking directly in the forum. Fortunately, the forum is very active and the authors are always responding with complete answer, it is really helpful. The authors already told me they haven't sufficient time for now for making a comprehensive documentation, they are certainly putting their time in the product itself which is understandable.

Take your time ;)

It is a CRM, it can be use to gain incredible gain on managing data about customers, sales, relations between those and others kind of data. You need to be specific with your organization, it is the right choice because it's main purpose is to be really adaptable... it's fast, convenient and the ui is clean and useful.
