We can customize it for our needs, which is a huge plus. The field service module is beneficial too, as all of our field service work is linked back to customers and assets and shows up in our financials. **What do you dislike about Kinetic?** I find the user interface feels like a DOS prompt at times. Compared to our old field service software, Salesforce, Kinetic doesn't have the modern UI and ease of searching or creating reports effortlessly. The initial setup felt somewhat painful for the company, though relatively easy for IT. **What problems is Kinetic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kinetic manages all our background systems, acts as the source of truth by holding data, integrates all systems seamlessly, and links field service work to customers and assets in our financials. ### 2. Out of the box, audit logs must be turned on for almost everything, making it difficult to analyze root causes and/or offer re-training when something goes wrong with a record. On the subject of audit, there is currently no logging of deletions that I know of. Not only in manufacturing but at a very finite level. **What do you dislike about Kinetic?** While Epicor has the technical expertise the ability to get customer support is challenging at times to get solutions to daily issues in a reasonable amount of time. Not that we are not given help but being at a lower version level has impacted our service. I have written client-side and server-side customizations, as well as external applications that interact with Epicor. Using the Microsoft stack for customization makes it easy to interface with our other business systems. **What do you dislike about Kinetic?** In my opinion the user interface is the weakest point of the software. It is a bit dated. It has strong partnerships with third-party companies such as Precise and DS Panel. **What do you dislike about Kinetic?** To post to the General Ledger (GL) from another module, you need to use posting rules. For our purposes, we need to customize these rules to allow flexibility in a segment. We would prefer to have an override flag that lets us manually enter the third segment ourselves (which, in our case, comes from projects). We required more functionality specific to the Printing Industry, but since it was no longer available, we had to hire a consultant to customize screens and other elements to capture some of the missing functionality. **Recommendations to others considering Kinetic:** N'ayez pas confiance en les vendeurs qui disent que vous pouvez mettre en œuvre une application ERP en 6 mois. It works seamlessly makes the shipping process much easier. The experience and knowledge is being pushed out the door to make room for inexperienced folks (the few that are being replaced). There needs to be more BI functionality. **Recommendations to others considering Kinetic:** CMS is a strong product able to handle some very complex requirements. It makes the process a lot smoother and quicker to accomplish tasks. **What do you dislike about Kinetic?** The major thing for my company was that when we transitioned to another system, epicor did not transfer with the old processes. We liked the way things were done with epicor and wanted to keep it, but it is not compatible with all new systems that retailers are using. **What problems is Kinetic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were processing damages, transfers, and different send outs with epicor. ### 39. I also really like that it reduces the cost and complexity of business processes because it is 100 percent Microsoft-based. **What do you dislike about Kinetic?** SAP is the only ERP system that truely masters Export which contatins Exporting with pro forma invoice, registration of the export via ATLAS, integration of a logistics agent and shipping notification to the customer via the Internet. **Recommendations to others considering Kinetic:** Really good for all production companies. **What problems is Kinetic solving and how is that benefiting you?** The production, incorporating a prolonged workbench, is a powerful control for Epicor and requires no more effort than absolutely necessary. The synchronous booking of the goods receipt and the finished message was also effortless with the integrated BDE. The value posting of the goods movements (this is "Work in progress" WIP) runs in the background. ### 46.
