"Best decision we ever made.."

What do you like best?

Simplicity, support, customizability, overall user interface.

What do you dislike?

If I HAD to pick something, the only thing I would say is I'd like it to be cheaper, but if you asked me if it is worth the cost, then the answer would also have to be yes....

Recommendations to others considering the product:

check out the way you are able to do customizations using the "Trigger Point" system. You can customize, but still stay up to date with the most recent core system updates.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We made the decision to go with Syspro about 18 years ago and we always say that it was definitely one of the best decisions we ever made and if we had to do it all over again we would do it without hesitation. We have been able to grow the company almost 4-fold over those 15 years and we have been able to do that with the same staff that we had when we started. We just keep realizing efficiencies in the software and leveraging it to be able to grow sales and the bottom line without growing overhead.

"Syspro in Manufacturing"

What do you like best?

I like the fact that there are checks and balances as well as fully customizable to our needs. As we grow, Syspro grows with us.

What do you dislike?

Some of the customizations take additional effort and training to be able to mold the product into what we need it to be.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Ensure that you have someone that can be trained to perform administrative type tasks for the product. If you dont want to be paying Syspro or a third party to create custom solutions, you will need to have a saavy person trained up for these tasks.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use the lot traceability feature as we are an AS9100 facility and have to track our lots. Additionally, we have multiple warehouses that we manage thru Syspro and it does a great job with that. Being able to track our products from cradle to grave with Syspro is the biggest benefit.

"Modern and diverse"

What do you like best?

I think that SYSPRO has many outstanding features. But I think that the overall best feature is the overall layout of the system itself. The interface is very user friendly and there are so many features not incorporated into it, but also that can run with it. As an Inventory Manager, I can access pertinent information for anything inventory related in just a click or two. Simple, quick, and powerful.

What do you dislike?

I think that the only dislike I'd have would be that so many features are added in to newer versions, that older versions become obsolete rather quickly. One other side note, definitely have SYSPRO help you set everything up from the beginning. We struggle here because our program was setup internally, and things are not as effective and powerful as they should be when it comes to the information side of things.

Definitely get 7.0 or higher

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving loopholes in production and we are able to understand our inventory on a grand scale. This allows us to dig deeper into the numbers and truly see where we have over-production, under-production, and choke points.

"Great ERP solution for manufacturing"

What do you like best?

The convenience of everything being in one program. While there are a multitude of programs available to attach to SYSPRO, we don't necessarily need them.

What do you dislike?

The reporting limits. SRS can be a little confusing if you're not familiar with Crystal reports.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It might be a little overwhelming and frustrating at first but give it a chance and you will learn to love it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We don't have a lot of business "problems" , so to say, but we do use it for everything. For me the benefit is how the information is stored. The background tables hold so much information and with the ODBC connection to Access we are able to pull the information into spreadsheets without SYSPRO's formatting and run calculations the way we want or need.

"Definitely better products available"

What do you like best?

I like that its intuitive and saves your preferences and settings and the payment preferences. Issuing checks is easy

What do you dislike?

I don't like that there isn't an easy way to view your old transactions, there isn't a user friendly way to look up detail of old invoices entered for payments or to apply a credit memo. There are so many steps to take before looking up information you need ex; GL codes/supplier names/numbers. There isn't a user friendly way to view your suppliers and the remittance detail.

there are so many better products to use for accounting purposes. I would pick great plains/quickbooks over using syspro

"Versatile and easily customized"

What do you like best?

The standard reports are very useful. There is a lot of information that can be sorted and displayed many different ways to give you what you need. Custom reports are easily created and modified. User layouts are simple to configure.

What do you dislike?

The user layouts can be touchy, click twice in the wrong spot and the layout changes. Easy to restore but still a pain. Some of the WIP programs are difficult to comprehend, along with the MRP module. It's too cumbersome and time consuming if you have a large number of SKU's. SysPro needs to have more than one email address available in Customer Setup. One for A/P, Buyers(s), and others.

Recommendations to others considering the product

For us, setup and training was an important issue, since our old system was so outdated. Support is crucial. Fortunately our Support group is excellent. always just an email or phone call away. If they don't have a solution they will go out of their way to find one.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Purchasing and Inventory Control is much easier than our old system. Our replenishment system is automated. Alerts notify us of stock outs, reorder points, PO's created and received. Our back order situation is greatly improved.

GSA reporting is much simpler with just a few tweaks. What took weeks to process, now takes just a few hours.

"A little data goes a far way"

What do you like best?

SYSPRO is a fully integrated ERP system, which meets the demands for our manufacturing company. There are many add on modules and integrated software to build a customized view fit for your company.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations like any other software. Transition from upgrades can cause some minor pain points. The Quoting software has the most limitations of any of the modules compared to past software, if you prepare multiple price point vs. quantity customized quotations.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Investigate your customized reporting, systems and data flow. Ensure during your transition period you are getting the data you expect and can verify. Once integrated, the system can work seamlessly, but if items are missed or mapped wrong during transition, this can cause many problems down the line if they are not caught up front.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have gained more insight into out inventory transactions, valuations, and movement. We are actively reviewing our fixed vs. variable costs based on tracking.

"Great for manufacturing"

What do you like best?

SYSPRO gives us the ability to track production, inventory, and sales/invoicing with a basic implementation. We are now working to implement some of the advanced features.

What do you dislike?

It has been a long road for implementation and now our company has refocused on setting a solid framework, but it has been time consuming. Without the proper framework in place, it's hard to get true value out of SYSPRO (which is obviously true for all ERP systems) but the previous implementation team didn't have a long term strategy so we are re-implementing from the ground up.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The biggest problem we have solved is visibility and transparency in our manufacturing operation. We have been able to see planned production vs. actual production and estimate labor and overhead well in advance of the activity.

"A solid, reliable, and intuitive software for your business"

What do you like best?

I like the simple, straight-forward interface. The customization features make the day-to-day orders much easier. It's easy to dig deep and find specific information.

What do you dislike?

It's hard to say, as some of the bugs might be hardware related. The one thing I don't like is that you can't change an order to a forward order. Sometimes a customer will give a list of things they need, only to tell you "ok, let me ask my boss/customer and see what they say." So if you wrote it up as an order, you need to cancel it, and rewrite it up as a quote (forward order).

We're able to track missing inventory better.

"Syspro US review"

What do you like best?

Syspro has a small footprint unlike other ERP software such as SAP and Oracle that I have used in the past. It can be installed on a single Windows Small Business Server that includes Microsoft SQL and the Syspro application. We decided to best of have SQL run on its own server for overall better performance and the ablilty to load balancing.

What do you dislike?

Syspro is originated in South Africa. That said many for the terminology and financial functions are catered to South African business. Businesses in the US using Syspro will need to learn and adapt to South African business practices.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend Syspro to small business that has low to medium order processing. If you are doing high volume of orders and doing EDI, I recommend staying away from Syspro. They have partnered with a third party for EDI called Cadacus. Unfortunately, Cadacus is not as flexible as other EDI software that I have worked with in the past such as IBM/Sterling Gentran Integration Suite, and Microsoft Biztalk Server or even Di Centeral's Di Unite software.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our company was run on Fishbowl and Quickbooks for several years. We outgrew our warehouse and financial software and decided it was time to look for a new ERP system. Due to budget constraints, Syspro met our financials need compared to other comparable software such as Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, and Epicor.

"Options, options, and more options..."

What do you like best?

Syspro allows almost unlimited customization of both the user interface, as well as manipulation of data prior to processing.

What do you dislike?

The default screens in most modules can be overwhelming for a new user-the definition of "TMI"...and the granularity of security options (user access to a variety of functions) is way over-the-top; there's over 2200 unique settings!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Don't be intimidated by the "too much information" user screens...they are easily customized to a much more manageable interface.

Processing and SQL overhead is fairly moderate; we've never experienced any noticeable slowdowns.

Lastly, Syspro has a very active user forum that gets daily attention from Syspro employees...in many cases, it's better and quicker to post questions in the forums instead of trying to get tech support on the phone.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are a mid-sized manufacturing company that uses Syspro for all facets of operation...and its ability to easily interface with a variety of data collection devices saves time, as well as not needing to invest in another software package.

"Excellent customizable ERP system"

What do you like best?

SYSPRO has great customizability and flexibility. It is relatively easy to learn and use in day to day operations. Since it is running on SQL database, you can roll with your own reporting tools if the built-in SYSPRO reports are no longer enough. The tables are very straight forward so querying data is very easy. Upgrading to the latest port (update package) is very easy. Just update the server and all the clients automatically pick up the updates when they connect. Support is very responsive and will work with you on any issue you may have.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally freezes/crashes during network hiccups instead of gracefully exiting the program. Processes will get stuck once in a while and an admin will have to manually kill it to stop it from eating up your server's resources.

Recommendations to others considering the product

SYSPRO is very easy to learn and use. It handles most ERP and business requirements a company might need. There are several 3rd party add-ons/applications that integrate well with SYSPRO to fill the gaps of missing/lacking features. Very good value compared to the other bigger ERP systems out there.

"A rare team that listens and learns from its users"

What do you like best?

Been a Syspro user since 1999. I have watched it evolve from a lipstick Windows application to a real quality ERP stystem you can build a company on. No software is perfect, but to watch one listen and grow and blossom has been great.

What do you dislike?

I don’t always have the opportunity to use the package to it’s ful potential.

Not only is a solid package, but is extremely extensible without custom coding that breaks during updates.

Getting my users to see Syspro as tool to break down barriers between departments has been the best thing.

"SYSPRO is a great ERP Software"

What do you like best?

We like all the functions that come with this product. We have used Navision in the past, and the stuff we are able to accomplish with SYSPRO is mind blowing. We are also utilizing catch weights with Cadacus here. We have over 25 wireless handhelds that are configured to work between two different locations. I would recommend SYSPRO to other companies that are looking for an ERP solution.

What do you dislike?

There is not much I can say about SYSPRO that are negative. I have a lot of negative stuff to say about our previous ERP software. But this review is strictly for SYSPRO.

I would highly recommend SYSPRO to other companies.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had over 150+ label templates for our products that we put together for our clients. SYSPRO and Technologies International have narrowed that down to 11 templates we are now using. With both of these two working together they have delivered a unbelievable product to our business.

"Syspro is Fantastic Next Level ERP for Small to Medium businesses."

What do you like best?

Syspro is an all encompassing ERP package that is easy to customize to suite a company's unique needs and has pristine DB structure to boot.

What do you dislike?

The enhancement request process is a bit tedious, and needs to be checked up on and pursued to get a status update.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are still using a starter ERP software package and have enough serious company growth that software you are using is holding the company back from future growth you need to take a serious look at new ERP software. The move to new software is never easy, but the longer you wait the more painful and difficult it becomes. Identify your immediate needs, and the wish list items and from there start your ERP search. Once you know that you can then find the best ERP software potential fits, and then compare price vs features and values. You will most likely find Syspro at or near the top.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The single best thing about Syspro is that it has many solutions that already exist and modules available to plugin and solve various business problems. The benefits of the modules, and customization is that you can form your own solutions in house and have an ERP package that you can continue to utilize for long term growth.

"Syspro, A leader in software systems"

What do you like best?

The flexibility to view information differently by user as well as the quickness of the system to retrieve information or statistics. The system gives users an enormous amount of information at their finger tips and allows them to customize on the fly their viewing screen to their specific needs.

What do you dislike?

We have issues from time to time recently with the updating of JAVA and it's interfacing smoothly with the Syspro SRS system. It requires some additional editing on our part when JAVA updates

We have had customers from very large Fortune 500 companies view our system and their comments to us are along the lines of, "We wish we had this much flexibility in our systems"

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to quickly evaluate raw material needs based on previous sales, and current sales and accurately predict needed materials. The system is highly accurate with inventory and our shrinkage is extremely minimal because of the accurate reporting. We have been able to reduce inventory of raw materials as well as finished goods and build product on a timely basis.

"SYSPRO has been a great ERP solution for us"

What do you like best?

Most modules look the same and are customized the same. This makes it easy for users to navigate a variety of modules. This also helps administrators customize the software because each module gets customized the same way.

What do you dislike?

There are almost too many ways to customize the software. This software has been designed to handle workflow and business practices of many types of companies in many industries. As a result it can be easily customized to fit your needs. Unfortunately because it can be used in so many different ways, there are a lot of visible fields and settings that aren't relevant to every industry. It can take a lot of time to go through and clean up every window the users see so that they don't get lost. This is the same with the security settings. While parts of the security settings are grouped, it can take a lot of time to select which programs operators can access among other controls you have over operators.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our previous business software (Sage Business Vision) did not have anywhere near the same inventory management and work order capabilities. After switching to SYSPRO, we've had better visibility of where our inventory is and more functionality in creating work orders and jobs. Visibility on the reporting side has helped us improve our internal procedures to better plan for the future.

"Good ERP system for medium sized manufacturer"

What do you like best?

Easy to use, easy for each user to customize to their preferences. Moving fields, changing formats, even adding custom fields if needed. All the modules we use are very strong, great functionality, as feature rich as more expensive bigger ERPs that I've used at other companies. Many modules available, and we don't have to get what we don't need, and we can add modules later as our business process evolves and changes. For example this past year we decided to add the EDI module, which has been a big time saver to our customer service team in automatically populating new orders from EDI, or transmitting invoices straight out of SysPro. The semi-annual users conference is great and I always learn new things that I didn't know SysPro could do for us, and am always very impressed to hear of the new things they are working on to stay ahead of technology.

What do you dislike?

We have some customization done, so upgrading to the latest release takes extra time and work from consultants. EDI is a complicated module, installation and configuration took many months.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking manufacturing work orders, job issues, inventories, financial statements, general ledger, payables, receivables. Pretty much everything! We have accurate financials, and a good handle on inventory and manufacturing planning.

"Syspro Is an Excellent Tool"

What do you like best?

I'm really impressed by the flexibility of the system, which allows you to fit the system to your needs. This includes the business objects and VBScript capabilities.

What do you dislike?

The data entry screens are sometimes not optimized and require a custom solution.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Inventory, general ledger, sales orders, purchase orders, MRP, costing, pricing, and data analysis in any of these categories. It has allowed us to plan production and ship orders faster and more efficiently. It has allowed us to grow our business at our own pace.

"My thoughts about Syspro"

What do you like best?

I have worked with Syspro since 1998 and I have received consist and superior support for the duration. I have implemented 4 other ERP systems in my 35 years in business and I have found Syspro the earliest to apply to a business. We are very excited to upgrade our business to 7.0 early next year.

What do you dislike?

There is very little I dislike about Syspro and their support.

"Great Product. Very Customizable"

What do you like best?

I like the improvements SYSPRO has made to the UI and the modules in SYSPRO 7.

I love how the product can be easily customized with VB Script and extended using .NET by way of it's customized panes and web services.

What do you dislike?

The hard installer. A web based version would be ideal.

Great product and great support team.

Company is making major changes to the product in SYSPRO 8 and future versions to address a number of issues with the current product.

"We call syspro sissy pro."

What do you like best?

Nothing. It’s slow and useless.

The Vb scripting is constantly messed up that we paid for. It glitches. It sends our customers an extra piece or two of merchandise on every order. We are better off with paper and pen.

I would say I like logging out the best.

What do you dislike?

Everything. This software is so glitchy. Very glitchy. We were sold bad software that doesn’t do what it promises to do. All of the custom scripting is useless because it has too many hiccups. It leaves way too many open orders in the system. It’s cumbersome. Everyone has to do extra work. This software doesn’t fit our company at all. Dispatch notes show different quantities consistently. We are having to go back and remove a lot of the paid for customization because it doesn’t function properly.

I would take a hard pass on this software. A very hard pass. I am a very optimistic person and I love my job. Syspro could potentially put us out of business.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

None. That they are liars. They made us pay for custom vb scripting that doesn’t work. It constantly glitches and malfunctions. I am not solving any problems. I am duplicating orders. It’s consistently adding a piece or two of merchandise from different warehouses on every order. My returns department is going down in flames. The freight charges on the returns are huge. The dispatch notes show different quantities than my orders.

When things get bad syspro doesn’t take any accountability for the disaster they created.

What do you like best?

SYSPRO is in a change-growth model for ERP and business management.

What do you dislike?

User adoption is slower than their business needs have grown. Fast-paced user needs and utilization of ERP do not match except in the most forward-think enterprises.

Patience and deliberation are key to a successful decision for SYSPRO. The system is large and comprehensive. Getting done is time and process together.

Full Supply Chain management is possible with SYSPRO, integration of business process, policies, security, on/off-premise applications are connected real-time. Advanced availability of predictive analytics does what no spreadsheet can do.

"Highly Customizable at an Affordable Price Point"

What do you like best?

The software can be configured to work in just about any industry. It is relatively easy to use, and use across the different modules is the same. Training and documentation is readily available, as are user forums that are monitored regularly by technical support.

What do you dislike?

Since it is so configurable, it takes a lot of effort and time to configure it properly. This makes it a little easier for someone to have a bad experience. To be effective, it needs a really good implementation.

Don't give up!

We have solved many issues related to requirements planning and manufacturing, as well as sales order tracking, backorder analysis, and purchasing. The nicest thing about Syspro is it is one solution for all of the facets of the business, all interlinked. You do not need to buy 3 or 4 different software packages to operate your business, Syspro handles just about everything. POS, Call Center Sales, Sales Analysis, Forecasting, Manufacturing, Distributing, Lots and Serials, Accounting, Asset Tracking, to name a few.

"Investigating Syspro"

What do you like best?

So far, it seems that Syspro has a systematic approach to manufacturing needs and brings solid support to business customers.

I'm not a current customer, so it's hard to say what the drawbacks are about Syspro

Talk to people who already have implementations. Some of these customers have been using the product for more than 20 years. That kind of loyalty throughout company growth is indicative of a quality product and excellent support.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our current ERP does not cover our manufacturing process, whereas Syspro was made for manufacturers. We look forward to be able to capture our raw data and use it to provide real-time information. That way our decision making will be more likely to benefit the company.

What do you like best?

Continuous improvement of the product and ease to train new users, querying information and data is the most use tool by users who need to compile data on the fly

What do you dislike?

Missing the Quality Assurance module, and could have a different version for the Aerospace Industry

"Versatile ERP for just about any industry"

What do you like best?

Ease of use and ability to customize user interface makes Syspro the choice of ERP for us. Every module in Syspro has the same look and feel making training and understanding easy for users to grasp.

What do you dislike?

ERP systems are generally big animals to tame and Syspro is no different. Time and buy from all departments involved is critical to a successful implementation. So being able to configure and change Syspro many different ways makes for a challenging setup. Preconfigured setups for certain industries would help.

With the help of Syspro we were able to come up wit ha non traditional way of handling consignment sales which is not traditionally available in most ERP applications and therefore saved us money without having to buy an additional accounting application to handle consignment sales. Also being able to interface with Syspro through the use of business objects has allowed us to be more competitive in the marketplace by being able to interface with our customers electronically and reducing costs.

"A great platform for your business"

What do you like best?

Syspro is very flexible and the amount of customization available means we have yet to find a situation that syspro can't handle.

What do you dislike?

That flexibility can be intimidating when you get started - get used to trying things in the test company to see how they will work and impact your processes (this does eventually become a feature).

Take some time to get to know the system - the amount of features and customization means the first few times using the product will be overwhelming.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The detailed information syspro now gives us on our inventory has allowed us to make much better purchasing decisions while also allowing us to more acurately project production needs than our previous system. The lot traceability feature has been a huge help to getting us certified organic, and the flexibility of the system as a whole means the question of "can the system handle that" has yet to be a problem.

"Great ERP System!"

What do you like best?

SYSPRO handles all of our daily transactions with ease, from Inventory to G/L, and includes automation and customization functionality right out of the box. The built-in module balancing and real-time G/L makes month-end processing very easy!

What do you dislike?

You can't run an A/R or A/P Aging, or an Inventory Valuation report greater than 3 periods (months) old. You you have to plan to archive these reports at month-end.

SYSPRO is an excellent and cost-effective way to handle your complete business needs.

From emailing our customer Invoices, to automating our credit management to a large degree... The data history kept for Sales and Inventory usage allows for easy customized report writing via Crystal.

"Clunky CRM format too sales-oriented for social service agency"

What do you like best?

Once info is entered into a field, no need to save- it stays put. Generation of documents is simple and works well. Communicates well w/ other billing systems in place.

What do you dislike?

That strength becomes a problem when someone accidentally overwrites info, there is no way to backtrack to what was previously there. Search functions are way too complicated for me to make any use of them other than searching by name, and even that can be tough. The format is really clunky and outdated. Making changes to fields takes an act of Congress and is expensive. For social services, the whole format really doesn't work well for us in fact we're looking at new software for that reason.

Probably a pretty good product for the sales industry. We've been forcing it to work for client service and billing management, it's too clunky.

"Syspro Roadshow - A Must See!!"

What do you like best?

Anytime Syspro has a conference, you can rest assured that they are going to bring their best, informed, real users of information!! The Roadshow was no different! I was skeptical of the information content they could pack in a one day conference, but they hit all the high points and left me wanting more!

What do you dislike?

With the wealthy of knowledge, it was overwhelming. Would prefer a couple different options/tracks of information to follow.

With all platforms, you need to know the product you're tackling to see if it checks off all the needs vs wants. Prepare a list of deal breaker items, then do your homework to make sure this is the best solution for your company. We do not use it to it's fullest potential, however it works well for the segments we use it for.

Our company is continuously growing, so we're looking at other operational solutions to help monitor/track inventory and support so many remote locations

Software is a very complete package and very versatile. Allows you to define and customize processes and procedures to fit your business. Product is always evolving and adding new features and improving on existing ones.

Nothing I don't like about SYSPRO. It has been great for our company.

"SysPro Roadshow in Philly"

What do you like best?

Direct, open communication about upcoming and existing capabilities in SysPro. I learned a lot about portions of the system that we weren't using, or weren't using to the best efficiency. The presenting team did an excellent job acknowledging issues that needed to be corrected and clearly discussing solutions that were available or in the works. I especially appreciated the preview of SysPro 8 and the open discussions with the team around the lunch tables.

What do you dislike?

Nothing - the day was a big win all the way around.

SysPro has a lot of capability when fully implemented and trained - they have a strong technical staff and support process.

We use SysPro for a full ERP solution for a Manufacturing and Distribution company. We have found the accounting and inventory management modules to be solid and are working on getting more value out of the reporting and shop floor features.

"Syspro Review"

What do you like best?

Syspro is a comprehensive, extremely flexible, all inclusive business management software package. It has all the modules that a small to medium sized manufacturer or distributor needs, from its accounting package to distribution, to manufacturing suite of programs. Furthermore, it sits on a SQL database, making reporting and custom development relatively easy and affordable.

What do you dislike?

The shipping system and EDI solutions are not up to snuff with the rest of the platform. Many of the add on modules, i.e Handhelds, EDI, Shipping CRM, etc.. are not home grown but rather third parties who are smaller firms and unable to adequately support and implement these add ons.

Understand all the preloaded modules and additional modules available. You will get the most out of your product. We are only using a small portion of its capabilities and have plans to use more to grow and manage our business.

Seeing the CRM module in action will help our business track our customer activity and RFQ, something we have been tracking manually on various spreadsheets. Seeing this information in one place will prove to be very intuitive and should help us increase business.

What do you like best?

The ability to create personalized views by user. Each user can have their screens custom setup to address the modules they are working in. Also like the ability to setup tasks within SYSPRO so no processes get left out or forgotten.

What do you dislike?

No disikes at this point in time.

What do you like best?

I like the integration with manufacturing companies and the ability to produce simple reports quickly from a user friendly interface.

What do you dislike?

I do not like that SYSPRO is not very customisable in regards to new reports, updating old reports, and producing transactional reports.

I would choose a larger REP system. SYSPRO is a little clunky compared to some competitors.

I am solving everything from PO generation to inventory metrics. The benefits are the ability to easily export to excel and manipulate.

"Syspro - Leading ERP system for medium sized manufacturer"

What do you like best?

The flexibility to view information differently by user as well as the quickness of the system to retrieve information or statistics. The system gives users an enormous amount of information at their finger tips and allows them to customize on the fly their viewing screen to their specific needs. Every module in Syspro has the same look and feel making training and understanding easy for our users to grasp.

What do you dislike?

We have has issues with updating of JAVA and it's interfacing smoothly with the Syspro SRS system. It requires some additional editing on our part when JAVA updates. Sometimes the port updates have cause more issues than fixing issues, would like to see if tested more before release.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Based on a combination of a great user interface and the system’s ability to interface with other our solutions

easily, processes and reports that once took a week or more to complete are now executed in five minutes or less. Even though the company is facing competitive challenges from much larger industry players, Our company is maintaining both profitability and market leadership.

"Syspro ERP "

What do you like best?

AR processes are much improved. Ability ability to organize and get to information about the business.

What do you dislike?

Most of our complaints involve support for integrations (sending emails from syspro) between MS office and syspro 6 (syspro officially states that office 2016 integration isn't supported functionality with Syspro 6). We have been told the resolution is to upgrade to syspro 7

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

AR is streamlined. We can now do a "hard close" every month (all the accountants who work in quickbooks will know what I'm talking about!)

The vast amount of features, I personally like the fact it is modular.

What do you dislike?

Support can be a bugger at times. Keeping up on new functions and releases has it's trial at times.

Working through a VAR, leaves us vulnerable to their capability of educating the end user.

"Very informative and a good learning experience."

What do you like best?

I liked how certain topics were covered in a way that was quick and easy to understand. Especially the web parts inside of SYSPRO.

"Syspro for Small Companies"

What do you like best?

I have found Syspro to be an exceptional system in both stability and functionality for a small company of less than 20 associates. It is very affordable for what it provides.

What do you dislike?

Early on there was some issues handling Bills of Materials that had Bills of Materials embedded. Once known, a viable workaround solution was implemented and works fine.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely get your bang for the buck, especially for small to medium size companies.

Excellent for keeping track of sales and inventory. With the embedded Crystal Reports, we have been able to provide quick and accurate visibility to sales and inventory history to assist in planning forecasts.

Our reseller provides excellent support and can answer most questions we have about problems, functionality, best practices, etc.

What do you dislike?

The user interface is not like most other Windows applications but the new changes in version 7 and the future web interface are stepping in the right direction.

"Best software on the market for global manufacturing and distribution"

What do you like best?

Syspro is easy to use. The screens are well designed for the user to have maximum information at their fingertips. Navigating through Syspro is a breeze. This means that users can answer questions and solve problems quickly and easily. If a customer service rep has a customer on the phone he/she can easily navigate through every aspect of that customer's touchpoints with your company. If the manufacturing shop floor manager wants to know what is happening on a job he / she can quickly and simply pull up the job, drill down into the work centers or materials, look at resources, and even drill up to the originating sales orders or forecasts. All of this is done using Syspro's very visual screens. It has good eye-candy!

Syspro's functionality is incredible. Apart from its solid financials, Syspro has more manufacturing and distribution functionality than any other ERP product on the market. Syspro was built as a tough, gritty manufacturing, distribution product. As such, it offers functionality that can be used across multiple manufacturing environments to cost bills of material, manage jobs, control costs, operate work centers, create schedules, and to get the product out the door. Syspro is like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson of the ERP world, good looking and genuinely tough.

Syspro's technology is so exciting that it gets both the IT department and the chief executives praising it. When the CEO receives an interactive report straight to his/her email with the weekly sales and profitability figures, and the sales by region in a pie chart, he/she understands why Syspro's XML, Microsoft.net and Microsoft sql technology choices are the best. Syspro is a fully Microsoft powered house that has embraced all the best of mobile computing, cloud technology and dynamic reporting.

What do you dislike?

Syspro requires a professional implementation. It is not a click and download product. It requires project planning and strategic thought to design this highly configurable and powerful engine to make it a product that works hard for your company.

Problem: How to run 3 different divisions, 1 of which is in China. Syspro is an excellent choice for multi-division corporations where each division operates differently with different costing and manufacturing methods. What do you like best?

We LOVE the the web based CRM and cannot wait to use Syspro web base

So far so good, really nothing we can complain about. If for some reason our updates leave us scratching our heads the Syspro team is there to helps us.

"SYSPRO does a lot of core features well"

What do you like best?

I like its integration with windows functionality. You can find and sort very easily. This makes the application more user friendly since users are able to work faster.

The support is also great since suggestions actually get implemented in future roll outs

What do you dislike?

I don't like its reporting. The standard reports are OK but cannot be easily customized. Reports also cannot convert to excel easily which most accountants require.

The performance of the application can be improved.

In terms of benefits: Greater efficiency and a better understanding of accounting

Problems in managing inventory, payments and Sales orders have been easily resolved.
