"Skillpanel Is a Gold Mine for Skills-Based HR and People Development"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

For companies that want to invest in their people and help them achieve success, Skillpanel is a gold mine. From an HR perspective, this tool can support multiple departments, such as L&D and workforce planning, by providing data to work with. Skillpanel really helps shift HR from a generic, or even vague, approach to a clear and consistent skills-based approach.

Additionally, Skillpanel can also be used for employer branding. We live in times when candidates are increasingly interested not only in cash compensation, but in the total package. Having a tool that helps employees or potential employees understand where they are now, what they still need to reach their goals, and the clear steps to get there is truly valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

I suggest they take another look at AI integration. While the tool is amazing, and the idea behind it is great as well, a similar tool with stronger AI could end up monopolizing the space. Sometimes the tool also feels like too much: there are too many tabs, and it can get confusing.

Integration with other tools, many companies will have different tools for recruiting, HR operations, LD, this shall be taken into account how Skillpanel integrates with other softs, where they might have common ground etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use SkillPanel That Quantifies and Tracks Growth with Rich Strategic Data"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

SkillPanel allows companies to own their growth. The easy to use style allows management to quantify, support and track development within a company. It also gives rich data for review and in a manner that allows managers to use it for strategic purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

The lack of AI integration. This is not a dislike rather serious potential, I think if implemented right SkillPanel could change the way companies develop talent and innovate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive talent management tool"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

The solution is very detailed and allows for measuring and reporting on multiple skill and talent categories for the talent team. This is incredibly helpful for both assessing internal skill sets, evaluation of skills required for roles and identification of talent for bench strength or pivoting roles required for moving the business in a different direction. In particular the consulting industry and financial industry could benefit from such a tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

There are quite a lot of elements available and while that helps with analysis, we don't currently track such details in our hris and it will obviously be a time consuming endeavor to do so. It would be helpful if the tool is able to pull this information off job descriptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative Talent Management Platform with Excellent UXUI"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

The product itself is innovative, placing data at the center of talent management operations. I believe that talent intelligence will become essential for any company that relies heavily on a structured HR blueprint.

The UX/UI aligns with the standards of a modern, data-driven platform, and I particularly appreciated the Skill Map Manager. Being able to view all the skills within a company with just one click is truly a dream come true.

Overall, the platform can strongly support workforce organization by providing clear visibility into both internal and external skills required for effective talent management and recruitment operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

For me, the platform definitely addresses an important market need, and with some further development, it could cover an even broader part of the HR spectrum. Strengthening the connections between features where HR teams often face challenges—such as learning, performance reviews, talent management, and even engagement! This could make the overall ecosystem even more powerful. At the moment, these components are heading in the right direction but are not yet fully aligned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A transparent and data-driven approach to skills and workforce management"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

What I appreciate most about SkillPanel is the strong level of engagement it creates around defining and maintaining organisational skills. It promotes broad participation in building a shared skills framework, while also providing a clear, comprehensive view of the skills that already exist across the organisation through its wide range of features.

Even with this breadth of functionality, the system remains intuitive and easy to use for both HR teams and managers. Implementation and integration with existing HR systems also feel relatively straightforward, which helps the platform fit naturally into current workflows rather than operating in isolation.

Customer support has been responsive and helpful as well, especially during setup and the early stages of use, making adoption smoother. Overall, SkillPanel improves organisational readiness for succession planning by making talent and skill information more accessible and actionable, and by supporting more informed workforce and talent decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

I wouldn’t say there’s anything I dislike about SkillPanel itself. One challenge, though, is that in organizations where several systems are used in parallel, it can sometimes take extra time to record comments or updates in SkillPanel. This is mainly a result of working across multiple tools, rather than a limitation of the platform.

In addition, as a learning organization, we need to align other documents and internal processes with the system to use it effectively. That takes some adjustment, but it also helps create more structured and consistent skills and talent management over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful platform that brings you closer towards a more data & skills based organization"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

SkillPanel clearly represents a strong step forward towards a skills-based and data-driven HR function. The platform offers a very rich and structured view of organizational capabilities, which is extremely valuable for workforce planning, internal mobility and L&D. I particularly appreciate the ambition to professionalize skills governance and move HR away from intuition towards evidence-based decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

My main concern is the risk of overcomplexity. SkillPanel offers a very granular overview of skills, high number of features, and sophisticated models but I feel they could become difficult to navigate for some less tech-savvy stakeholders. The challenge is often not collecting more skills data, but making it truly actionable, understandable and aligned with strategic business priorities. Without that, there is a risk that part of the intelligence remains underused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Skill Management Platform"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

Its a great platform for companies to use if they need to track and manage the skills and development/training needs for their employees. Very user friendly and can easily be used by employees and managers without detailed training. It provides data for talent management, development, recruitment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

There is quiet alot of entries and updating of skill to keep up with the right data for decision making. This is however crucial for big global companies that are massive in developing their talent across the globe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Talent Management with Room for Integration Improvements"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

It is a comprehensive talent management tool with clear insights that could be helpful for recruiting purposes, career development and progression but also for workforce planning.

It provides clear dashboards for different type of profiles: employees, managers, HR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

It is necessary to manually enter or update skill sets, as there are no approval workflows in place. Additionally, the platform does not integrate with tools and processes that are typically connected to talent management, such as OM, ATS, and compensation systems. "Empowers Skill Management with Intuitive Insights and Motivation"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

The tool is exceptionally well organized, making it both intuitive and easy to navigate. It provides clear visibility into the skillsets required for current and future job positions. The HR team can effectively track employees' personal goals related to skill development and encourage them to pursue further growth. SkillPanel offers a comprehensive overview of the company's existing skillsets and highlights potential gaps. It allows for quick analysis of employees' current skills and helps identify areas where additional training or recruitment may be necessary. Overall, it supports workforce management processes by analyzing the types of professionals needed within the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

It would be helpful to have information available about the employee's current assignment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Insightful Analytics for Equitable Talent Decisions, With Room to Grow"
What do you like best about SkillPanel?

SkillPanel offers talent professionals and leadership data-driven visibility into skill gaps and strengths across roles. From an HR and workforce analytics perspective, it provides concrete, defensible insights that move conversations beyond anecdotal feedback or focus groups. The platform is especially strong in highlighting skill fit for internal mobility decisions, helping reduce bias and support more equitable talent movement. Overall, SkillPanel’s insights enable HR, L&D, and managers to clearly identify opportunities for targeted training, succession planning, and improvements to recruiting processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkillPanel?

From an HR systems perspective, the biggest limitation I noticed is the lack of direct integration with formal performance cycles and other HR systems. For example, while the platform is strong for assessing skills and offers both manager- and self-assessments, it currently does not tie this information back to formal performance management processes, such as performance reviews or 1:1s. Similarly, integration with other HR systems would be beneficial. Finally, because the tool is very comprehensive, it can be somewhat challenging for new users to learn and navigate effectively. Overall, enhancements to the UX and additional automations or integrations would make the platform even more user-friendly and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
