**What do you like best about DeskAlerts?**

DeskAlerts allows our company to notify users with a desktop "toaster pop" message for outages, upgrade notices, and other important events.  This software is used daily for our Network Operations team and keeps our customer service reps up to date on outages to support our customers.   The software is straightforward to implement and integrates with  Active Directory with ease.  All of our implementations have come with the assistance of DeskAlerts support, who although are not in a local time zone, make a concerted effort to deliver a reliable service experience.

**What do you dislike about DeskAlerts?**

Correcting issues with the software often requires installing a corrected version over the current version.

**What problems is DeskAlerts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emergency notifications for network outages were being sent by email and were being missed by the Center Center reps who didn't have time to be parsing emails during calls.  The desktop alerts allowed the reps to see a quick message about outages or upgrades without having to leave the billing system software, ensuring they remained focused on answering calls over checking email.

**What do you like best about DeskAlerts?**

They are constantly introducing new features.  Easy to use, and allows integration with other systems (like our data historian) to provide automatic alerting

**What do you dislike about DeskAlerts?**

Really the only thing is that sometimes the new releases have bugs which require patches.  But they respond quickly when this happens.

**What problems is DeskAlerts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally purchased DeskAlerts for the ability to send emergency messages to a desktop in the event of an environmental incident.  We have now expanded the product to control our desktop wallpapers and lock screen.

Flexibilty of the messsages templates, easy to réorganise them.
Very good customer support

Would like to have more informations in the dashboard for the messages sent statistics. Also some CLI commandes for the cleint would be great.

Very quick and easy way to send all type of alerts to everybody in the business, and more effective than emails.

The client software is not multilanguage

It's really useful being able to alert all of our store colleagues of an issue when it happens. This means that it reduces the number of calls into our service desk.

**What do you dislike about DeskAlerts?**

I find the templates a bit dated design-wise. I would be nice to have more modern templates or easier ways to customise the pop ups.

**What problems is DeskAlerts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we have an IT issue in the business or a critical business update that needs to be communicated with our stores. Using DeskAlerts means that everyone gets notified at the same time quickly and this reduces the number of calls from our stores into our IT service desk.

i love deskalerts as it helps my colleagues to notify me related to the task and meeting attendings , it also helps our product owners to push any deadlines and changes if there are any

I love deskalers but there are some issues with it that are minor but still persist such as compatibility of devices as there are some older legacy systems in our organizations i would like to ask the developers of deskalerts to consider these

deskalerts solves various business problems as we work on ticketing systems if there are any high priority tickets coming to the system it helps us to reach our employees quickly and efficiently , also deskalerts helps our employees to attend the standup calls which are scheduled at the time of these emergy tickets

Best thing about the platform is ability to share information with an attachment to large set of people without relying on unsafe third part hosting platforms.

Only thing I found off is the solution is not widely known in the market and hence a different functionality of the platform is not known to many and still not being leveraged fully.

Solving employee engagement with ability to give the anonymous surveys and check the pulse of large head counts in a quick manner without any movements from home screen.

DeskAlerts help in prompt delivery of messages to the recepients. Read receipts feature allows you to see who has seen the message. Good analytic tools for tracking communication.

**What do you dislike about DeskAlerts?**

Highly expensive thus do not suit for small businesses. Integration seems to be challenging. Very few customization options. UI looks outdated. Limited to internal communication only.

Flexible pricing and an updated interface makes it easier for the users to use this application. Features to allow external communication and seamless integration with other softwares can improve user experience.

This tool has multiple features but I like feature of tracking messages where you can check if message is delivered or not , it is read by user or not etc.

The closest comparable alert/notification is your computer telling you a software update is available. This is a force-read for the recipient.

It does what it says on the tin, that's for sure. It's easier to use than Toast notifications, but that's not exactly hard to achieve. The issue is the overall UX and UI. It's dated and feels clunky. It would not bother me if the product were cheap, but unfortunately, it isn't...

The interface and the look are definitely its downside, and I think it's a bit expensive for what it is.

It allows us to send alerts to people Windows desktop, for downtime and maintenance for example, which users are more likely to notice than an email.
It's easier to user than Toast notifications.

Installation and setup very easy. Send updates easily. API functions very well for scripts or security systems automation.

Many errors are patched here and there, but you won't usually handle them for much time.

DeskAlerts solves our problems by informing our employees of important issues and events. Email that was often ignored or lost was previously trustworthy.

DeskAlerts was useful for sending IT communications on scheduled stops or technical problems. It is better than email, because of mistakes made in our email software, so DeskAlerts does so that even with other technical problems people can see warnings.

I like that it will reach every employee over all locations and forces them to read the notice.

Nothing so far. It’s a logical choice for someone needing to reach everyone, especially in an emergency situation.

Great that all employees read it an nobody can say they missed the memo or email.
