In some connectors like Shopify, the limitation of analysis periods is a barrier: I can't always access data from the previous year, which is important for seasonal comparisons or historical performance. I also noticed that in Klaviyo there are important metrics I use from Shopify that are not available, which forces me to do manual cross-referencing. Dataslayer is a critical tool for us to keep track of both website analytics and performance from our paid channels on a daily (and sometimes) hourly basis. With the Spreadsheet add-on, we're able to build dashboards so that it's easier for our colleagues to track our traffic and performance, instead of having to browse every ad platform and Analytics tool. I use Dataslayer daily to update the data received from platforms and insert them into our database. The main reason we continue to use Dataslayer is the ease of automating processes: we schedule the execution of queries for the start of the day, around 6 in the morning, and when we start working, everything is ready for use. This makes it much simpler to gather information from the platforms we use in the agency, such as Google Ads, Meta, Bing, and GA4 (among the various other platforms I've seen on the list but never used). Without Dataslayer, we would have to do this work manually every day. Another advantage is the ease of reprocessing the data. From time to time, we change the way we handle information internally and need to fetch everything again. With Dataslayer, just adjust the desired period and it does the rest automatically. The implementation is also simple: recently, I lost access to the corporate computer and needed to reprocess data. I was able to do this easily from my personal computer, just by accessing the website and logging in with my credentials. Depending on the volume of data, processing can be quite time-consuming, taking up to half an hour, especially when it is necessary to reprocess extensive periods, such as an entire year. Additionally, some APIs exhibit operational failures. Although there is support from Dataslayer, in practice it cannot connect and extract the data correctly, as happens, for example, with Bing. We’ve been using Dataslayer for some weeks now, mainly for marketing analytics purposes, and we started using it every day. Our core setup connects Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads into Looker Studio so that the software completely meets our needs in terms of data gathering. The dashboard is intuitive, and the account linking is straightforward — we had our first reports live in less than a couple of days. We especially like the stable connectors, scheduled refresh, and the breadth of destinations (we primarily publish to Looker). Additionally, field mapping is clear and easy.

Honestly this is an amazing tool that can be used instead of paying a premium for supermetrics. This tool provides exactly what our agency needs to support reporting. It's as easy as clicking a few buttons, getting some easy tutorials for credentials to seamlessly integrate the connections. We use this everyday now and are going to continue expanding our use.
