"Effortless Rendering with Chaos Corona"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I appreciate the ease of use in rendering with Chaos Corona because it helps achieve realistic renders quickly. I like that they are continuing to improve the product with features like Chaos Cosmos, which includes strong features such as a library of 3D models, scanned materials, and presets. These aspects enhance speed and accuracy, resulting in more realism in less time. The initial setup was very easy, and this ease of use combined with faster rendering times were key reasons for switching from Vray. I also like how the collaboration features are set up, making it valuable for my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I am not very fond of the AI enhancer feature and maybe I would like some more freedom in post-processing capabilities. Also, a material proxy feature would be nice, and something needs to be done with the scatter because of how much it can make the scene heavy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and User-Friendly, But Lighting Needs Work"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I like that Chaos Corona is easy to use and quite fast. It's widely supported with 3D models and textures, and if you need any help, you can find it easily online. It's very commonly used and efficient. It helps me to do visuals faster, which means I can earn more money when doing my work faster. Combined with a good computer, this tool is very powerful. Good materials and models selection consumes very little time compared to creating models and textures myself. Chaos Corona is cheaper and easier to get used to than any other rendering engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I think the lighting methods could do a little better job. It's less intuitive and takes a bit longer, especially when transitioning from other software like V-Ray, to get the perfect lighting. Also, region rendering could be improved. It would be better if it allowed rendering only custom areas rather than just square regions, which would save time in large scenes. Another thing that was tricky was cloud licensing, although it's not a problem now after the last update. Finding how to activate the license initially took more time than expected. But now it is not a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

Hi Dovydas, thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad to hear that Chaos Corona’s ease of use, strong material support, and community resources help you work efficiently and deliver visuals faster. It’s great to know that this efficiency translates into real value in your day-to-day work.

We also appreciate your feedback on lighting workflows, region rendering, and the initial licensing experience. Input like this is valuable as we continue improving usability and performance. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"Effortless Simplicity with Stunning Photorealistic Results"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

Its simplicity. It delivers exceptionally high-quality, photorealistic results without requiring complex setups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I don’t really have any complaints about Chaos Corona itself. The only limitation for me is the lack of native support on macOS, which I understand is related to Autodesk 3ds Max rather than Corona. Other than that, the renderer has been extremely reliable and enjoyable to use in my daily workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

Hi Margarita, thank you for the review! We’re glad to hear that Chaos Corona’s simplicity and easy setup help you achieve consistent, high-quality results, allowing you to focus more on design and storytelling.

We also appreciate your note regarding macOS support and your understanding of the wider ecosystem constraints. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"Corona Renderer: Easy to Catch"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

High realism in lighting: Corona delivers excellent results, especially in terms of natural and artificial light behavior, which is crucial for interior visualization.

Ease of use: The learning curve is quite friendly compared to other render engines. It took me about a year to become fully comfortable with it.

Useful presets: The inclusion of Corona Cosmos provides a wide range of ready-to-use materials, assets, and lighting setups that help speed up the workflow.

Integration with 3ds Max: Works seamlessly and feels stable, which makes the process smoother.

Impressive speed: Even at high quality, Corona manages to produce renders faster than I expected, making it reliable for both client presentations and conceptual design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

Like most render engines, it is very resource-demanding on the system. While this is expected, it still requires a powerful workstation to handle larger projects comfortably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"no-headache"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

What I have to say about Chaos Corona is that it feels simple and stress-free. The interface is super straightforward, so I can get realistic results without spending hours on settings. Lighting is always beautiful—whether I use HDRI or physical lights, the scene instantly comes alive. The material workflow also feels very natural, almost like I’m shaping the object with my hands. On top of that, it’s stable and reliable—no annoying crashes—and if you’ve got a strong PC, renders fly. Even on weaker hardware, Corona remains patient and completes the task smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

It can be pretty demanding on RAM, especially with big, detailed scenes. If you don’t have a powerful setup, you’ll definitely feel your system struggling. Another limitation is that it only works with 3ds Max (and Cinema 4D), which feels a bit restrictive. It would be amazing to see Corona integrated with more platforms so it could reach a wider range of designers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Corona Render remains the best rendering solution for achieving realistic visuals without compromise."
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

The software is very robust and without flaws or bugs. Well optimized and regularly updated, it evolves well with market needs. It is easy to handle and the results are always without unpleasant surprises, a highly realistic outcome with the definition and detail that my renderings need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

The rendering time with Corona and the CPU in path tracing can quickly become a constraint in production. Because it can quickly become too long. Even for previews. Especially in the case of animation or for the production of many visuals. Fortunately, they have now offered Vantage and compatibility with Corona. But full compatibility for animation under Vantage with Corona is still somewhat awaited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Corona Renderer for Cinema"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

Corona has photorealistic renders and has become my staple rendering tool. Lot's of beautiful works in production! The Software is easy to navigate and manage to get quality renders, Installation is quite easy and straight forward. There is user support incase one is experiencing problems as well as a large community online. I use corona everyday to create visuals for my academic projects. Corona for cinema 4d is docked on the main menu hence works flawlessly with cinema 4d. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

I have a couple of bugs when using the software especially with light mix, after any modification when I run interactive renders, it keeps crashing and restarting cinema 4d. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

Hi Elijah, thank you for your review! We’re glad to hear that Corona supports your academic projects with photorealistic results and helps you communicate your ideas clearly through visual storytelling.

"Unbeatable Ease and Price, Ideal for Archviz"
What do you like best about Chaos Corona?

I like the ease of use of Chaos Corona. I have been using it for 10 years, since its first version, and I greatly value that my students can easily create images with the program. I also appreciate its better price compared to V-Ray, which was a determining factor for switching to Chaos Corona. The initial setup was very simple and I quickly got the hang of the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?

The licensing system causes quite a few problems, I have to restart the License Server on many occasions because my students cannot detect the license. On that note, I will say that fighting against piracy is very important to me, it does a lot of harm to our sector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Chaos Corona

1. Navigation inside the chaos browser is hard now and not logical sometimes. 2. The exr workflow stopped with the online AI support, because we can't download the result in exr from the site. EXR is important in case of the post process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
