**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katarzyna S. | Architectural Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

The best I can say about Chaos Corona is that it produces imagery of exceptional quality. Although the initial setup requires some practice, once mastered it becomes progressively easier to achieve ever better results. Its great strength lies in the carefully curated set of features designed specifically for rendering, which makes the work considerably more enjoyable. Moreover, it is seamlessly integrated with 3ds Max.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

From my personal experience, as someone not accustomed to resolving software issues, I have found it challenging to get Chaos Corona to function properly. I have encountered numerous problems, such as the Chaos Licence Server failing to operate and the Chaos Cosmos Browser not loading. Resolving these difficulties has cost me considerable time and frustration, as the system feels unintuitive and poorly integrated between applications. Customer Support was of little help, since the explanations were couched in highly technical language I could not follow. The instructions ought to be written in a more general and accessible manner, ideally supplemented with step-by-step screenshots. Looking ahead, I would suggest implementing AI-driven features for image enhancement.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chaos Corona helps to address the growing demand from clients for imagery of the very highest quality. In an increasingly competitive market, visualisations are expected not only to convey accurate information but also to achieve a level of realism that can inspire confidence and even emotion. Corona provides the tools to meet these expectations by producing photorealistic renders that are both striking and convincing. By doing so, it allows architects and designers to present their ideas in a way that bridges the gap between technical drawings and lived experience, ultimately making communication with clients more effective and persuasive.

  ### 13. I am very satisfied

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

The rendering is very realistic, and the light and material settings provide a natural effect without complicated configuration. Additionally, the interactive render is very useful, allowing me to quickly check changes in the project. Corona handles interiors excellently and delivers realistic daylight and artificial lighting.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

The biggest drawback is the relatively high RAM usage with more complex scenes, which sometimes slows down the work. I also miss a few tools for even faster post-processing without the need to use external programs. Rendering, despite its high quality, can be time-consuming with very large projects.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better presentation of the real appearance of the project to clients

  ### 30. The new Chaos Cosmos Updates are revolutionary

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

This software is very user-friendly, making it accessible even for beginners. The addition of Chaos Cosmos has truly transformed the experience, offering significant improvements. Overall, it consistently delivers high-quality imagery. I’ve also noticed that Corona Scatter is becoming increasingly well-suited for creating detailed and complex scatter arrangements.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

The Corona sun can sometimes be inconsistent, occasionally causing textures to appear bleached out or desaturated. Additionally, it often seems slow to adopt successful Vray features, which can be frustrating. Another issue is that the Corona VFB does not always scale the interactive render to match the window size. Sometimes it will adjust to fit the window, but other times it remains at a lower resolution, leading to unnecessary interruptions as the interactive render process has to be restarted.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main challenges in architectural visualization is finding the right balance between creative freedom and technical complexity. Many rendering engines demand a lot of setup, material adjustments, and lighting tweaks to achieve photorealistic results. Chaos Corona addresses this by providing an intuitive, artist-friendly workflow, which lets us concentrate on our design vision instead of getting bogged down by technical obstacles.

Time efficiency is another frequent concern in CGI production. Adjusting lighting, experimenting with moods, and refining material finishes can be a lengthy process, particularly when working under tight deadlines. Thanks to features like LightMix and Interactive Rendering, Corona enables us to test different variations instantly, minimizing the need for repeated renders and speeding up the creative workflow. This approach not only saves valuable production time but also allows clients to review more options in a shorter period.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

Easy to use,
Cosmos(library of assets made by community)
Chaos scatter
Quality

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

Some of bugs (adressed by community) are ignored
Price (but too expensive)
Lack of GPU features
Lack of realtime features
Cosmos (library) quality seems to bit low - especially for textures
Chaoes licence server is going crazy on Windows (I need reinstall from time to time)
Animations (sometimes) are flickering despite using settings recommended by Corona team

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Corona is making 3D renders that I am selling to my clients.

  ### 33. It is great but...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

I like the simplicity, it is easier than vray and more realistic i think based on my view and what i have seen

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

I dont like the fact that is only for 3dsmax and not other platform, i mainly use rhino and i have to ise other platforms for rendering

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It doesnt stand out in my opinion but the fact that the ratio of steps needed for realism is better than the ither engines

  ### 34. High quality with practicality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalia N. | Generalist 3D Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

The quality of materials and illumination that chaos corona provide is incredible, i worked using others softwares for rendering projects and none of them made me have such joy to work with like corona.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

Time of render, sometimes when in a rurry it can be a problem, since exist others softwares that can render a lot of images in a few minutes

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i can achieve a level of reality in rendering that only corona is capable off

  ### 35. Facilities and results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guillaume G. | Gérant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

Corona is very easy to handle and allows you to quickly achieve satisfactory results while offering a real possibility to create complex materials and scenes.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

There are still a few options missing in Corona, such as proper support for baking or even a toon shader (not to mention the GPU rendering that will probably never arrive).

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed and quickness of implementation.

  ### 36. I've changed a few of render software's but Corona delivered the best results so far

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

It is easy to use and delivers photorealistic renders

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

We need Grid lines option on the Interactive, I get sked to put an item in the middle and there is no way to do it except downloading scripts for 3dsmax that get bugged out most of the time.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My clients want photorealistic renders, that's how Corona got my attention

  ### 37. The most quality i experienced for a rendering software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

I like the best the variety of textures provided by the library and the easy use of the materials.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Corona is helping me solve de problem of unrealistic materials, giving a large variety of realistic materials.

  ### 38. Easy to use, great results.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

The easy way to use lights and scatter and multipass channel. The cosmos is very useful can not work without it. The stability of the software.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

I don’t find many disadvantages in using Corona; I’m very satisfied with it and, in any case, I’m not very familiar with other software. Corona has very few flaws, which I can’t really point out at the moment.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Cosmos has greatly improved the availability of elements and materials, providing quick access to high-quality resources. Materials with simple settings deliver excellent results, and if something more complex is needed, it’s still relatively easy to achieve.

  ### 40. Beautiful shots, lots of control, and great for stills

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Chaos Corona?**

Out of any render engines, the one I've used the most is Corona. I honestly love how user friendly it is particularlly regarding it's learning curve. The library of assets helps you populate your scenes.

**What do you dislike about Chaos Corona?**

The market seems to believe raytracing is king. Express render engines are getting better and better at giving higher-end (corona-like) results, but way faster.

Rendering an animation takes days, or even weeks which is quite worrying for a free-lance architect that would rather not have to pay for a renderfarm, but instead test out the renders in house.

**What problems is Chaos Corona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Showcasing my architecture and product renderings.

  ### 41. Corona render is a great tool for arch and product visuals.
