Out of any render engines, the one I've used the most is Corona. I honestly love how user friendly it is particularlly regarding it's learning curve. Express render engines are getting better and better at giving higher-end (corona-like) results, but way faster. Rendering an animation takes days, or even weeks which is quite worrying for a free-lance architect that would rather not have to pay for a renderfarm, but instead test out the renders in house.
