Connect Math is great for those struggling with Math **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021 **What do you like best about ConnectMath?** I like ConnectMath because it helps students and educators see what problems students are struggling on, and which problems they are breezing right through. The grading is done in real time, and the feedback is instantaneous. **What do you dislike about ConnectMath?** I dislike that you are only given an average of grades. You can't see each grade given for each individual assignment. The software seems a bit basic, possibly a link to each assignment would be a great upgrade. Each student should know where they struggled, and the educator should be able to see this too! **Recommendations to others considering ConnectMath:** I would say go for it! It is very easy to use! No need to have an over complicated program. **What problems is ConnectMath solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has been great for students struggling with math. It is a great refresher, and lets me know immediately how the student is doing. I personally feel it helps me see what topics need to be reviewed and gone back over. ### 2. W. | Mathematics & Education Department Chair, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2020 **What do you like best about ConnectMath?** I like the immediate feedback that it gives students and the auto-grading. It is a huge time-saver for the students and me both. They can immediately know if they are not approaching a problem the correct way and if the instructor allows it, they can use multiple attempts. It is also easy to build assignments and later edit them for future semesters. **What do you dislike about ConnectMath?** For those that are concerned about LMS integration, it has limited features. It will insert a column into the Blackboard grade center that shows the average of all Connect Math assignments, but there is no way to have links to individual assignments or have them include individual assignment grade columns in the grade center. Other than that, however, the software works great on its own. **Recommendations to others considering ConnectMath:** Give it a try. I believe you will like the quality of the accompanying McGraw-Hill textbook and the interactive features of the software. I have been using it to teach Statistics for many years. In recent years, they have greatly improved the user-friendliness of the graphing tools. It is also easy to edit settings and due dates for individual students, if needed. **What problems is ConnectMath solving and how is that benefiting you?** Students enjoy doing their homework more. Using the platform is much better than working out of a book and a piece of paper. There is also strong technical support provided when it is needed, either by my students or me.
