I like how BrainStorm helps me organize my thoughts and quickly generate ideas when I'm stuck. It assists me in planning content, structuring projects, and brainstorming new features, making everything smoother and saving me time. I appreciate that it provides quick, practical ideas and helps organize them clearly, which reduces overthinking and makes planning much easier. The setup was very easy, allowing me to start using it right away. Overall, it saves me time and helps me get things done quickly.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

Sometimes the answers are slightly generic and I need to refine the prompt to get exactly what I want. If it could understand intent faster and give more direct answers, it would be perfect.

I use BrainStorm to organize my thoughts and quickly generate ideas when stuck. It helps plan content, structure projects, and brainstorm new features. It guides the next steps, saving me time and reducing overthinking, making planning smoother.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

As a Senior Learning Experience Designer at UserTesting, I’m often thinking about how to create personalized learning experiences for our diverse customer base. Brainstorm stands out because it thinks outside the box of the traditional LMS and reaches customers where they are. One of the biggest benefits I’ve seen is how Brainstorm also allows you to create packs of content that internal teams can access. Making sure our field teams leverage the content we build is always a struggle, and I appreciate that Brainstorm allows you to make it easy for others to access.

Unlike other platforms, BrainStorm is straightforward but impactful. If you have a creative idea for a customized learning path, you can probably build it in BrainStorm. For any CE team struggling with injecting logic into custom learning paths, BrainStorm allows you to include quiz questions that can take customers down different paths that best suit their needs.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

If you've been working in a traditional LMS with SCORM files, moving over to BrainStorm could be a bit of a transition.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BrainStorm is solving the "one size fits all" style of customer education that CE teams often build, mainly because of our tech stack limitation. BrainStorm offers a simple solution for creating custom flows that not only give customers personalized learning paths but meets them in their own personal learning ecosystem.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

As a Customer Education program manager, I'm aware of many tools in the marketplace. BrainStorm stuck our for how it approaches personalized content at scale. As an end-user, I was impressed by the opportunity to guide my learning experience within some bumper lanes to ensure I'm on the right track. 

One of the best use cases I've identified is for SaaS products that have many add-on features, customizations, or unique instances. You can easily build puzzle pieces of content for reach accounts, with decision points built in to allow learners to influence their path while still getting relevant information. 

Unlike the LMSes I've worked with, personalization is built in from the ground up. Instead of building 10 versions of the same course, you can build a customized path for different use cases or customers, reusing content easily.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

When content is fully built out, it looks nice for the end-user. However, the back-end needs some work. 

In particular, there are limited content types today (video, PDF/files, external links, and quizzes/surveys). 

I think integrating with another tool like iorad or Parta could make the content more engaging!

The UI/UX on the backend is also a bit clunky and requires quite a few clicks to start building content. However, once content is built it's very easy to drag-and-drop it into many different learning paths.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling personalized learning content for customer education, especially for products that have different configuration options and/or add-on features.

Easy to use, I upload my own content with drag and drop. I can track what users are doing and follow up is easy.

I'd love to see more tools for learning more broadly.

We received BrainStorm from one of our vendors to help us adopt their solution, but I'm a coach who has to help all of our staff use their resources better. Once I learned I could also upload our own custom resources and manage our own training, it was clear this was the platform for us.

From a program management standpoint, BrainStorm stands out as a platform that doesn’t just deliver training—it builds a repeatable, measurable adoption process. Most tools tend to sit firmly in one camp: either learning management (delivering courses and tracking completion) or product usage analytics (tracking clicks, feature adoption, and in-app guidance). BrainStorm’s strength is that it merges both worlds into a single, coordinated experience

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

While BrainStorm supports campaigns across multiple user groups, configuring truly simultaneous onboarding across multiple legal entities and time zones can be more manual than ideal. Advanced scheduling, localization, and entity-level governance controls might be needed, Also - Deeper Integration with Enterprise PM Tools.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a program manager overseeing complex, multi-site rollouts, I need a platform that keeps onboarding consistent and adoption sustained over time. BrainStorm stands out because it doesn’t just teach—it guides people through real actions in the flow of work, all while giving me data to see where teams are engaging and where they need more support. For large-scale, multinational implementations, that means I can launch a product in multiple locations at once, maintain a unified onboarding approach, and adjust quickly based on real usage insights—without juggling five different tools.

I really like how BrainStorm has tackled how you serve your customers. You can create portals where you can share these content flows, and the customer can then adapt them to their users, perhaps adding in additional videos around business policies and procedures, creating, for example, an onboarding that supports the user to do their job as quickly as possible.

Once you understand flows and packs, nothing is stopping you from succeeding on the platform.

BrainStorm is a unique product in this field because it goes about tackling getting knowledge to our users very differently from other LMSs in the market. Rather than the traditional academy-style approach, with BrainStorm you can create flows that are adaptable, enabling you to feed learners knowledge at different intervals and at their pace.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

The ability to create a flow that provides a more personalized learning experience for our users who range across a variety of job roles and platform access levels. What might make sense for an HR person to learn about might not be important for a member of the marketing team. Being able to meet users where they are to provide education helps build their confidence in using our platform.

Additionally, the capability to view data on how users progress through their flows can provide an excellent metric to help identify champions as well as create metrics tied to customer retention.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

It can be a bit tricky to understand the language and what things in the BrainStorm platform mean, so there is a learning curve to fully understanding it.

It can help provide a better onboarding experience for our customers, as well as internal onboarding for new employees.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

The support staff are wonderful. They really care about the success of your deployment and offer help with configuration as well as ideas for communication and engagement. The training is very easy to take and workflows are customized to the skills/knowledge of each user.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

Their latest version is undergoing constant development and there have been some bumps in the road during our transition. They defintely listen to your feedback and try to incorporate requested changes, it can take a little while to get there though. Overall the new interface is much improved from the old.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently we leverage BrainStorm to initiate Microsoft training (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) for all incoming new hires. It helps our IT department to head off basic questions about the tools we use every day, and ensures our staff are familiar with the platforms they must use to be productive in their roles.

Brainstorms clean and concise set-up makes it easy to create and review training experiences within your organization. The flows with training videos, emails, surveys, and assessments allows an end to end experience with accountability embedded.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

I love the "choose your own adventure" aspect of the new platform. I think the way they present content at a digestible rate makes learning achievable and fun. Also, being an admin of the platform, the management of content in the new platform is way better. I love creating new journeys for my customers.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

I wish there was a way to bring in an AI element where you could type in your job function, and it would lay out a path of learning for you. Not everyone is good at discovering new content, and this new feature may help. Also, if there was a way for users to become certified or gather real-world qualifications as part of these lesson plans, that would be great, too.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform helps manage our users understanding of the tools we provide at a base level. Not all users are are at the same level and this tool sets a foundation of learning we can expect them to adhere to.

Besides the support team being stellar to help us implement and develop a strategy, I would say we best like the on-demand training content options. Additionally, BrainStorm stays up to date with updating the content where I don't have to.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

I know that the platform we are working with is BrainStorm's "newer" model. With that, there's been some technical hurdles we've had to overcome. Their IT team has been very supportive, but sometimes there are disruptions working on the newer platform.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BrainStorm is helping us enable a culture of self-learners. We come from a culture of 'show me how to do X'. This adds overhead and IT Help Desk tickets. We have tools that are rapidly changing and BrainStorm allows folks to stay current and learn on their own time.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

The content and integration with Microsoft products is top-notch. I like that the Courses are sort of like a 'build your own adventure' concept - the tutorials / elearning inside the Courses will ebb and flow based on selections you make throughout the process. Learners can simply be directed to the dashboard / homepage to digest content that was 'assigned' or prioritized for them, or they can easily find content via the search or Discover tools. Support is quick to respond when there are issues and I've found that suggestions and updates and refreshes often reflect ideas and suggestions from customers. Very responsive. Our account rep/manager has always been phenomenal - insanely friendly, forgiving, and resourceful.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

It's often overcomplicated for admins. Too many layers sometimes when trying to work through content, assign things, check visibility, etc. Licensing structure is still very difficult to decipher as the replication of assigned users per-pack (their term)  is hard to wade through. Licensing is not across the content for active users, so the return there is going to be less than you anticipate (who has 100% consumption rates from internal customers?). If you give someone access to content, they have a license consumed - whether they ever login to the site or not. No way to emulate users and "see what they see" so workarounds exist for some situations so you can mimic what others might experience.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides up to date, user friendly resources, training and events for (mostly) Microsoft products. The choose your own adventure concept for Courses means folks can typically learn just what THEY need.

I have been a loyal user of the Brainstorm training platform since the days when we relied on printed software cards. Over the years, I have witnessed the evolution and continuous improvement of this remarkable tool, and I can confidently say that Brainstorm is an essential resource for providing effective training on new software.

For companies utilizing M365, Brainstorm is unparalleled in driving user adoption and ensuring that employees are well-equipped to harness the full potential of the software. The platform's comprehensive and engaging training modules make it easy for users to grasp complex concepts and apply them in their daily work.

The newest version of Brainstorm introduces innovative flows that automate and streamline the learning process even further. These flows not only enhance the efficiency of training sessions but also ensure that users can quickly and effectively assimilate new information. On an admin side the platform is very easy to implement and maintain. For any issues Brainstorm provides and excellent customer support.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

Brainstorm continuously improves its software, and we would love to see enhancements in reporting, training reminders, and deadline enforcement that includes supervisors. The newest version is also missing  gamification features.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing an easy to use and frequently updated platfrom for driving adption for our Microsft 365 modern workplace.

We love that BrainStorm does the work for us. When new products are launched or new functionalities become available, BrainStorm provides the knowledge we need to get us up to speed. Users can easily find what they are looking for, and it's a breeze to share links when users call our service desk for assistance.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

The hardest part for me is understanding the differences among content, course item, course, user journey, skill path, etc. It's just something that has always seemed a little convoluted to me.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While our organization employs over 1,000 people, we only have about 10 people dedicated to IT service delivery. We all wear a number of hats, but a full-time trainer isn't one of them. When we launched M365 and moved our data to the cloud in 2020, we needed a way to get our staff up to speed on our new software, tools, and processes. BrainStorm was an integral part of that.

Content is current and easy to understand.  Easy to adjust the flow as needed and to create new campaigns.  Overall we have had a wonderful experience with customer support.

When scheduling communication I would like to see what has been scheduled not only what has been sent.

BrainStorm has given us a knowledge base of current content that is easy to search.  When an employee asks for training on a topic I am able to find something in the system and assign it to them so it is easy to find.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

Microlearning videos on virtually any Microsoft application topic that allows users to get the training they need quickly and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

BrainStorm is not a full LMS, so the reporting is a bit lacking when using it in that capacity. However, it has enough to give me the insights I need to manage IT training initiatives.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a very small business so the amount of training my team is able to create and maintain is limited. BrainStorm fills in those gaps by continuously creating and updating their materials. Brainstorm helped my company transition from MS-Office 2016 to Office 365.  The product offered great learning resouces that helped relieve some of the burden from the IT staff.  The ability to track adoption rates and assign content was very valuable to us. Support from my Client Sucess Manager has been excellent!

The coolest thing about BrainStorm QuickHelp is its huge library of videos, especially for Microsoft stuff. It's so easy to fix things with their step-by-step guides. Plus, the team helping with setup makes learning a breeze.

While BrainStorm QuickHelp is great for learning, there are a few bits that could be better. Getting the hang of customizing Skill Paths was a bit tricky at first. Some folks wanted more advanced tech stuff too. And, it'd be sweet if the interface let you stay in full-screen mode during lessons.

I like the user interface and how the whole platform is built. The proposed training looks pleasing and encourages you to learn the content. I also like how the courses are completed and progress is marked. Technically it works and looks very good.

Unfortunately, the platform is not offering deep knowledge courses but only some general topics. Becoming an expert in a given subject is tough, and you can only get acquainted with the issue very generally.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

The quality of the training is excellent, and it is easy to take a few minutes to watch a couple of videos since they are so short.
Also, the account team is awesome, and they are willing to help you build out the environment and features if you need them to.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

It doesn't intergrate into our Learning Management System the way we wanted it to.

I also wish creating scheduled training blasts (like QuickTips) was easier and took less time to configure, but as I mentioned earlier, the account team is willing to step in and handle that for you.

**Recommendations to others considering BrainStorm:**

Don't try comparing this to YouTube.  Many reasons make this better than searching for free content video sources like YouTube.  Plus, a focus of Brainstorm is ADOPTION of the Microsoft platform.  A training platform is never going to be very successful if you don't engage your employees or push some of the content to them.   The QuickTips feature is excellent and a great way to drive that adoption to Brainstorm Quickhelp, which will drive the adoption of Microsoft products.

Also, I would push your management team to do something to make it exciting and desirable.  We introduced it at the end of a companywide update email, so the busy folks didn't bother or didn't read it, and QuickHelp meshes with busy schedules.

We are helping our organization adopt Microsoft applications and learn how to use them before requesting internal assistance from the IT team.

Update Training content regularly and can be integrated with Teams which is a great feature. Employees can get training modues directly into their team's messages.

Some of the videos and modules can't be open into full screen size and navigation is a little bit confusing sometimes. 

They should work on making it more user friendly.

**What do you like best about BrainStorm?**

Pre-canned training that is small chunks that fits everyone's time schedule.  Train for 2 minutes or an hour.  We have an automated on-boarding skillsets that get assigned automatically to new staff so all are up to speed with how we use O365.

As an IT admin, I don't want to spend my time making documents/videos when I could simply send a link to Brainstorms content.  We have found this product to be appropriately priced and it continues to be used.

**What do you dislike about BrainStorm?**

It can be used as a Learning Management System, but you can't upload SCORM packages, you have to upload all your content individually.

**What problems is BrainStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to upskill our staff so that they are prepared to work in the modern workplace.  This has helped us keep productive while in the WFH world that we live in.
