As an employee I am able to see my whole profile, any one from my colleagues have access to reach out to me if I am out of office, the UI is great, I can see my leaves balance clearly. the Integrations are refined and it runs without any lags

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I have not found any dislike yet about Bamboo HR but I  can surely give a feedback that it should have a unique portal where an employee can upload the resume of the reference for a job, so the HR team can support and helps in onboarding the new employees.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an employee, I can getting my all the details at one place. Is is beneficial so we don't need to reach out to HR of the company for every single problems.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like that BambooHR is a self-explanatory system where everything can be found easily without any trouble. It has everything I need neatly organized. I also appreciate being able to see all my benefits from one place. The initial setup of BambooHR was super easy and efficient. I like that the website has a lot of different tabs that are easy to access and performs well. I also enjoy that the website intergrates different celebrations for you to be able to stay reminded of things. The best of all this it is that it is free to use

I feel like a more vibrant look is needed.

BambooHR has everything I need neatly organized, it's a self-explanatory system, and I can see all my benefits from one place.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The timesheet is useful. requesting time off is very easy. The manager saves time and is able to respond quickly. Organization of the different departments is a plus when navigating the company directory. The community board is helpful for getting a message to the company or groups fast. The AI suggestions save time and make responses twice as fast. Onboarding is simple and thorough. The site performance is steady and reliable.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Integrating the paystubs with an investment information/option would be helpful. The pay section is a bit lackluster.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deposits are easy and simple to set up. Splitting paychecks into accounts is quick and simple.

The org charts are very helpful, and the software is easy to use. The way the sections are organized is very intuitive, and you can easily find everything you need.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that the timesheet feature for shift work could be better organized, although that may partly be related to our company setup.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR solves the problem of having job-related information scattered across different places. It keeps everything in one system, such as holiday balances, salary details, and payslips, which makes it easy to know where everything is stored and to access it whenever needed.

I like that I can see who is out across the org in one place and that just logging in to my dashboard surfaces my direct reports and whether or not they're out today.  This saves me time and mental effort.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

navigating the direct report's employee page is not always intuitive.  I have a hard time finding the information I am looking for frequently.  I also dislike having so many tools to manage direct reports (more of an issue with my org's use of BambooHR, than the software itself).

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR helps me manage PTO and keeps me updated on employee time off across the organization. It makes tracking and managing PTO straightforward, so I can stay in the loop and always know what’s going on.

User-friendly and easy to use. It’s simple to access my profile, request time off, and view events. The calendar is easy to access, and I can quickly see other people’s time off as well. I also like that I can filter the calendar by my department or view the whole company.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I can’t think of anything specific, but it might help to make the time-off request process easier to follow. It would also be useful if it could calculate how much time off I have overall, rather than having to look at dates to figure out my total holiday and vacation time.

It’s easier to keep track of time off, and I like having quick access to HR documents when I need them.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

As a developer, I mostly use BambooHR for my own stuff — PTO, profile updates, and finding people on the org chart — and it’s straightforward. Requesting time off takes a minute, I can see my balance before I submit, and I get notified when it’s approved, so I’m not pinging HR or checking email threads.

The employee directory is genuinely useful when you’re new or working across teams: you can see who owns what without digging through Slack or Confluence. Onboarding tasks were clear too — documents, policies, and setup steps in one place instead of a scattered inbox.

The UI is simple and loads quickly. I don’t need training to use it, which matters when HR tools are usually the last thing you want to think about. Self-service is the main win: small changes I can handle myself, and HR only gets involved when it actually needs a human.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

As an employee, I don’t like that compensation information (salary, package, bonus) appears on regular screens without any extra protection. This is sensitive pay data, and I feel it should require a password or stricter access controls to view.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before BambooHR, simple things like booking PTO or updating my details meant emailing HR or hunting through shared docs. Now most of that is self-service — I can check my balance, submit time off, and track approvals without back-and-forth.

It also helps with the “who do I talk to?” problem. The org chart and employee directory make it easy to find the right person when I’m new to a team or working with another department, instead of asking around on Slack.

Onboarding was clearer too — tasks and documents were in one place, so I knew what was done and what was still pending. Day to day, the UI is straightforward enough that I don’t need to learn a whole HR system just to handle basic employee stuff.

We haven’t used the AI features much, and they aren’t integrated in our org yet, so I can’t speak to those.

It has good UI, offers all the relevant information straight up. It gives relevant updates about the company and new people joining. Overall it's really easy to follow and takes little effort to be up to date. Also the privacy features and options it gives are solid

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

It seems to lack some of the integrations, especially I didn't notice any way to connect the calendar to a google calendar. I know there is a connection to work account, but having a way to sync personal account would be helpful as well

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is relatively easy to see the company structure, discover different people working in the organization and get support from different people. Personally I found the onboarding part to be relatively informal and less direct. I also like it's time off request feature.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

Bamboo is very user-friendly, and everything I need is easy to find across the different pages. I also like that I can check my clock and see how many hours I’ve worked throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Sometimes I have issues with clocking out. The app will tell me I’ve clocked out, but then the next day, when I go to clock in, it shows that I didn’t clock out. Because of that, I often have to ask my supervisor to change my timesheet.

I also don’t like that the Bamboo app doesn’t let my company clock in and out easily, so we have to use the web browser on our phones and do it the long way. I’d really like the app to work for us, because it would save a lot of time.

Everything HR related is in one place.

The UI is easy to use and navigate. Not to complex to where you are struggling to find certain items. The dashboard is well positioned to be in and out.

Not sure if its a feature we dont have access to, but i do think it would be cool to be able to get signatures out of bamboo for my role. Not sure if others roles ahve access. Would save me the trouble of uploading docusigns.

I like that BambooHR is really intuitive and easy to use, to the point that I have never had problems using it. It helps me keep track of my working hours, vacations, and allows me to easily submit a leave request to my superior. Moreover, it gives me an overall view of the situation, allowing me to also see other people's vacations. The initial setup was really easy, I logged in and since then I haven't had any problems using it.

I find it inconvenient to have to enter the same work hours every day and I would prefer to have an option to enter the hours for multiple days at once.

I use BambooHR to view company announcements, update my personal information, and access important HR documents. I also use it for requesting time-off, checking company updates, and completing performance reviews. It helps me track and submit my vacation leaves quickly. What I like most is the update of our new employees and careers section, since it helps me see if there's new opportunity or career growth within the company. It has been easy to use and reliable. The layout is simple, so I can quickly find what I need without spending time figuring things out. The setup was easy, a 10 out of 10, just using our work email. It worked well for what I use it for and has been a reliable tool for me.

I don't have any major issues; everything has worked perfectly so far. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to offer a few more customization options for notifications and to make the mobile experience a bit more polished.

The interface is clean and straightforward, which makes it easy to find what I need without a lot of hunting around. I’ve found the actual functionality to be very reliable—it does exactly what it’s supposed to do without any unnecessary complexity.

The line between BambooHR and our third-party platforms for payroll and 401k is a bit blurry. It can feel piecemeal, which makes hunting for specific answers difficult since it isn’t always clear where one system ends and the other begins. I’d love to see deeper, more seamless integrations with tools like Bonusly to keep everything in one place.

It has all the information in one place. I like that I can see my pending holidays, details about my profile and the company, and even other people at our company. It’s really helpful for keeping track of all these things.

I honestly haven’t seen anything I dislike about BambooHR yet. It’s been one of the best apps for viewing all the information and approval requests I have worked with. Other apps can make it hard to find what you need, but this one is easy to use and navigate.

It mainly helps me request approvals for time off and look up coworkers along with their contact information. It also keeps me aware of what’s happening in the company, such as news, celebrations, who’s out, and upcoming holidays.

I think the best thing about BambooHR is how simple it is, along with its clean UI. I can usually find what I’m looking for pretty quickly. For example, I mainly use BambooHR to book time off or check my team’s vacations, and I can do that in just a couple of simple clicks.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

It’s relatively small, but the login process can be annoying. I don’t like that when I’m signing in from a new device, I have to enter the company space again. It just adds more friction to getting on the platform.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR makes it easy for me to handle basic HR tasks quickly in one place. Before, booking time off meant I had to talk to my manager in person, and I also had to keep track of my vacation days on my own. Now it’s nice to have all of that managed on a platform instead of doing everything manually.

I really like BambooHR because it's simple to use with a friendly UI. It makes it easy to manage hiring intake, recruiters, and applicants. Tracking candidates and comments, along with viewing resumes and application timelines, is straightforward. The clean, simple interface really stands out, and I find it much easier to use compared to other platforms like Workday. The initial setup was pretty easy, with HR being able to import legacy data smoothly.

I think maybe BambooHR could improve in areas like advanced tracking of some things and project collaboration. It seems to be lacking some metrics like salaries and project tracking. I feel like Ashby does better in those aspects.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The feature I like most about Bamboo HR is that I can apply for leave and also give feedback there. I also like that Bamboo HR sends instant email updates, so I can stay informed. It’s convenient to be able to check my leave status all in one place.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

One thing I disliked about Bamboo Hr is that my company has a marriage leave policy, but when I applied for leave, they said that category couldn’t be added. I feel that if this category were available, it would be much more convenient to view my leave balance.

I don’t have to ask HR for my leave balance anymore. All leave requests are in one place, and my manager’s feedback is also easy to find there. I can also submit anonymous surveys about employees.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

UI/UX: I can quickly see all the information about my team (salary, holidays, and so on). However, my organization chart takes a long time to load.

Integrations: I’ve tried to link Bamboo to other interfaces, but it isn’t that easy, partly because of personal information. In practice, I mainly use it to connect to my Google Calendar so my team’s vacations appear there, which helps me manage my work each week.

Pricing/ROI: Honestly, I don’t know how much my organization pays for this tool.

Support/Onboarding: The tool is user-friendly, but sometimes I don’t receive updates about documents I need to sign or other related topics. It would be helpful to have clearer guidance on how to navigate the platform.

AI/Intelligence: I don’t see any AI tools available in Bamboo, but it would be helpful to have also information regarding this and how can we leverage AI-powered capabilities in Bamboo

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

UI / UX: limited customization, navigation can break down with complex data and some features are hard to find (AI could help here).
Integrations: it could help to develop this. The only integration I use is with google but it seems like it does not have a lot of integrations available.
Performance: As I mentioned before, sometimes is very slow. Especially loading big chunks of data as org chart.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One centralized system where I can see all employee information in one place. It helps me when defining salary adjustments, and it also makes it easier to understand the teams through the org chart. On top of that, it supports vacation tracking and performance review management.

What I like best about BambooHR is how it centralizes all employee information in one place. The drag-and-drop interface makes generating reports quick and easy, saving me several hours each week. The mobile app is also a great bonus — I can approve leave requests on the go without needing to be at my desk. Overall, the clean and intuitive design makes navigating the system smooth, even for team members who aren't particularly tech-savvy.

Uploading documents made me feel insecure. When I upload a document, I need to be sure that only I and the relevant people can see it. I couldn't see this clearly and directly.

BambooHR solves the problem of having employee information scattered across different spreadsheets, emails, and systems. In my previous companies, we relied on separate tools for tracking time off, managing personnel files, and conducting performance reviews, which led to wasted time and frequent errors. With BambooHR, all of these processes are unified in one platform. Leave requests are automatically routed to managers, employee records stay up to date, and I can access reports instantly. This has significantly reduced the time I spend on administrative tasks and allows me to focus on more strategic work.

Onboarding & Offboarding tasks appear to be organized for the admin view into different categories but for new hires or people leaving they are not in any categories and can only be found in their notifications. I wish they would improve this feature.

Bamboo HR has helped our small business with onboarding and offboarding with easy to create task-lists with people specific assignments and electronic signature options. It allows our employees to request PTO and see their balance with ease. Hourly employees can easily track hours and managers can approve them. I also love the added benefit of the Employee time-off, work anniversary, and birthday calendar synching with google!

I like that with BambooHR, I can easily search for emails without having to ask people for their addresses; I just put their name in. I also appreciate the convenience of being able to ask for permissions directly through the app, which means I don't have to write long emails explaining why I need time off—I just enter the day I need, and they approve it or not. Additionally, the initial setup was really easy for me; my company made me an account, and I only needed to put in my personal info to start using it.

I wish there was an option so I don't have to enter my password like 8 times a day. Every time I go out of the Google window where I have BambooHR, it automatically closes, and I have to put the password again and again.

I really like the feature of suggesting goals that align with your job description, as sometimes it is quite difficult to identify things you'd want to achieve as goals with a company, especially if you are new. BambooHR has this thing of coming up with nicely broken down goals for you that makes a lot of sense. The initial setup was pretty easy and smooth, and I had an onboarder that made things very easy. Overall, it's a really good platform.

I use BambooHR mainly for two things: signing compensation packages and requesting time off — and it handles both really well.

The compensation package signing process is smooth and straightforward. Everything is clearly laid out, and I never have to chase down paperwork or wonder about the status of a document.

Requesting vacation is equally simple. Just a few clicks and my request is submitted. I can see my available balance and track approvals without having to email HR back and forth.

I love how easy BambooHR is to use, especially on my Android app. It's fairly easy on the web as well, but I find it so convenient to be able to use it with my phone. I can just pull it out to check things like when I booked a vacation, how many vacation days I have left, and see if anybody is on vacation or who is in the office. The initial setup was pretty frictionless, as it was just a login I received by email, and then I installed the app on my phone, and it worked really well.

It doesn't seem like our organization is using all of the features. And it would be really nice if they were using all of the features. So sometimes, some of the features are showing blanks.

There is never any delays or glitches; it's reliable, which is important when you are applying/onboarding and this experience can be anxiety-inducing. I think it ensures a good, neutral communication platform between applicants and firms as you don't need to register on to their systems. The initial setup was super easy; I just started using it and I was able to begin onboarding with no issues.

At times there are login issues, like it only lets you login with a Microsoft account, and sometimes I didn't have an appropriate Microsoft account to use, only Google.

I apprecaite how user friendly it is, and i like how customized you can make the fields/tables/folders.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The ATS needs work. I’d like to be able to build custom dashboards within the ATS. Right now, if I want to pull a report for job openings, I have to select each opening individually. I want the option to view and report on all openings at once instead of going one by one.

Additionally, I can only pull those reports for open jobs, not for jobs that are in draft, closed, or filled status. I’d also like to have more standard, BambooHR-created ATS reports available than what’s currently accessible. We’re heavily considering switching to another ATS/HRIS, so this is very important to us.

I’d also like custom widgets/dashboards for headcount and attrition. At the moment it shows all employees together, and I want to be able to separate the data by hourly versus salary.

I would like to have a dedicated contact person from BambooHR, i don't think we have ever spoken to the same person twice which can be frustrating. 

I would also like BambooHR to do an audit of our account to see if we are utilizing the software to its full potential with everything built out. 

I think that the overall price is reasonable. If we decide to stay with BambooHR i suspect we would upgrade to the Pro package so I would want time to consider if that is worth it. 

It does not currently integrate with Employee Navigator, that would be a helpful integration going forward.

I would love for the ATS to utilize an AI agent to assist me in screening resumes and presenting me with helpful information with my search. i would also like to ask AI to find me a candidate with "XXX skills" from the database. 

Overall I think BambooHR is a great product for smaller organizations. s a construction company we are hire heavy and I would really like for the ATS portion to be refined further. i would love to stay on BambooHR and have one software for all needs.

I find that BambooHR really helps us connect with people in the organization, being a good portal to connect with my managers and peers. The leave management system is the best feature for me because it's so easy to apply for a leave. I appreciate not having to manually go to managers, which saves time, as I can apply online and have a good management portal to see all my current leaves, upcoming holidays, and everything else. I also found the onboarding process via BambooHR straightforward, as I was given a set of questions and easily answered them, with details still being reflected in my profile.

I appreciate that a lot of features can be accessed on mobile just like on the desktop, making it really handy for when I forget to do something and need the calendar to reflect my availability accurately. Plus, the mobile access is great for putting in for time off while on the go, allowing me to ensure everything is accurate even if I'm not by my computer. I like that BambooHR is relatively simple to use with a clean UI that's nice to look at. It's quite good that it aligns with our company's color scheme and includes our company logo. I appreciate the ability to set goals, which helps in tracking progress towards promotions and bonuses. It's nice that it's shared between myself and my manager. Also, it's helpful because a tool that's easy to look at and nice to use makes me use it a lot more.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like that it is a one stop shop. It houses our timecard, training, and pay information. As well as company documents we need to reference on occasion. Employee benefit information is also displayed nicely. We complete our annual performance reviews in the system and we have the option to enter shout outs for outstanding team members here. I love that our dashboard provides links to the other company resources we use as well and it's also easy to navigate through BambooHR.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

We occasionally experience login issues which prevents team members from clocking in and out. Any issue we've experienced is usually remedied within an hour so it doesn't cause to much of an issue.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I mentioned earlier. It's a one stop shop for employees to see their benefits, make changes, and reference company documents. Not having to go to multiple programs to get the information you need is awesome.

It is solving the paperwork issues and makes it easier by being online rather than printing off and filing actual paper. It's easier for me and everyone involved.

When it comes to personalizing email templates, you can’t do it per profile. It’s company-wide, or maybe department-wide, and I don’t like that. I’d like to be able to personalize my templates without having to modify them for everyone on the team.

I use BambooHR to keep track of my leave balance and appreciate having all my personal and job details in one place. I don't have to go to HR every time; I just log in and get the information I need. I love how simple it is and that everything is easy to navigate and do. The initial setup was quite easy for me, as I received an invite, created an account, and found that most of the stuff, like trainings, details, and documents, was already there.

I think mobile app experience could be improved. It feels a bit stripped down as compared to the web version.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

A few things have changed since my original review worth noting. We actually downgraded from the Pro Package to the Core Plan; not because of any dissatisfaction, but because we stopped using annual performance reviews and weren't utilizing Employee Community, so it simply didn't make sense to pay for features we weren't using. BambooHR made that transition easy with no drama.

What I want to add is this: the longer I use BambooHR, the more convinced I am that it's the right platform. The ATS continues to be one of my favorite features—I genuinely love it. Onboarding, offboarding, time off reporting, centralized employee data... it all runs smoothly and consistently, which matters enormously when you're a department of one supporting a fully remote team.

I also want to double down on something I said before about customer service. Every single interaction I've had has been with someone kind, genuine, and helpful. Even when the issue turned out to be my own user error which, I'll admit, happens more than I'd like. They've never once made me feel like a bother. That consistency says a lot about their culture.
BambooHR remains a breath of fresh air in a sea of complicated HR.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Dislike' still feels like too strong a word. There's nothing about BambooHR that I truly dislike.

A couple of small frustrations remain—the setup process for signature documents and some text fields within the job posting feature could be more intuitive. But these are minor quirks, not deal-breakers, and I've learned to work with them. I'm also confident they'll improve over time given how responsive BambooHR is to feedback.

Since my last review, we did downgrade from the Pro Plan to the Core Plan. We weren't using Employee Community, we moved away from annual performance reviews, and it just didn't make sense to keep paying for features that weren't getting used. Honestly? The downgrade was the right call and BambooHR made it painless.

Core covers everything we actually need, and I'd rather be on a plan where I'm genuinely using what I'm paying for. If anything, I'd still love to see more à la carte flexibility in their pricing structure someday but that's a wish, not a complaint.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an HR department of one, managing a wide range of responsibilities—from applicant tracking and candidate relationship management to Core HR, job description management, onboarding, payroll, performance management, and workforce management—was overwhelming with our previous systems. We relied on multiple spreadsheets and documents, which made everything more time-consuming and prone to errors.

BambooHR has been a game-changer by consolidating all these functions into one easy-to-use platform. It has streamlined our applicant tracking and candidate relationship management, making it easier to manage the hiring process from start to finish. The onboarding process is now more efficient and engaging, allowing new hires to get up to speed quickly, even in a fully remote environment.

Core HR functions, such as managing employee data, payroll, and performance management, are now centralized and accessible, reducing the administrative burden on me and ensuring accuracy across the board. Job description management and workforce management have also become more organized and less stressful.

Overall, BambooHR has solved the problem of disjointed systems and manual processes, freeing up my time to focus on more strategic HR initiatives that drive our organization forward. The benefits are clear: increased efficiency, reduced errors, and a more streamlined HR process that supports our growing, fully remote team.
