This means I can't see pay data in the way that would make it easy to view within Bamboo. What I like most is its lightweightness and focus on specific features which are logically connected. It stays easy to use, and I'm able to quickly accomplish my tasks. As a regular user, I find it super easy to use. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** There are minor usability issues, like when requesting multiple consecutive time-offs of the same type, it is error-prone; the time-off kind resets across the requests. Also, requesting many 1-day long time-offs 2 months ahead is extremely annoying, because every time I have to move the calendar two months in advance. The BambooHR <-> Slack connection is far from perfect. I wish there was a closer connection, like teams defined in BambooHR being defined 1:1 on Slack, with assigned roles. The integrations with Netsuite are also useful and make my work easier. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** The functionality feels very one-note. For example, when I’m trying to set up a review schedule for the anniversary dates of entry-level employees that’s different from the merit cycle, the system struggles to accommodate those different requirements. If there was a way to tag a cohort to their appropriate treatment and build that, it would be better. Another functional improvement is approval chains and documentation thereafter. We use bamboo for internal movement, approval of profile changes, etc. Yet thereafter, the whole FP&A team who rely on those approvals is unable to download a comprehensive report. It has most of the funcitons you need on one page, having different modules such as birthdays, new employees, and holidays all in one. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** It does its job. As a user, it’s hard to say there’s anything to dislike; I mainly use it for high-level information, and it works well for that. **What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Understanding the status of the organization. Understanding who's new where do xyz people sit under where, and having all HR data and forms in one page. But I worked for Workday and honestly there's very few differentiation ### 49. I can generally find what I need with a few clicks and things I organized intuitively. As a manager, I like the performance area and features. As an employee, I find it easy to keep track of my job and salary changes and to find policies. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** The main dashboard could have more meaningful information for me. It mostly lists who reports to me (helpful to quickly get to them) and announcement notifications. The stat tiles at the bottom don't seem super interesting but that could be based on my permissions and them not really showing much for me. **What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** People updates - learning about new hires, anniversaries, birthdays. Seeing org structure. Performance - use the 1on1 assessment and peer reviews Merit increase process handled through bamboo with multiple approvals tiers My personal tracking of salary and title changes Seeing what I need about the people who report to me. ### 50. I like the interactions it offers, like being able to check the calendar for birthdays or anniversaries. I also enjoy how the pay stubs are operated. They add some humor by telling you, for instance, how many hot dogs you've 'bought' with your pay, which I find really funny. These features make the whole experience a bit more personal and feel like I'm genuinely interacting with the system. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** I think during tax time when I was filing my taxes, it was a little bit harder for me to navigate. Like, I think definitely with the pay stub feature, you should be able to just look for your pay stubs easily, like view total pay stub year to date, and such. I think that would be a good idea. **What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use BambooHR for checking who's in the office and upcoming paydays. It's easy to use, with fun interactions for birthdays and anniversaries, and I like how it handles pay stubs.
