Baluu was a game-changer for our business **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022 **What do you like best about Baluu?** FINALLY software that takes care of our whole business. We are an Art School that sells (1) in-person classes (2) live / pre-recorded virtual classes (3) art kits delivered globally (4) Gift cards and (5) bespoke products / events / services for corporates. We used to use several different software plug-ins to make that work for us. Mindbody, Etsy, GiftUp, and Xero invoice management. That meant our website was super confusing for users, and really hard to manage for our admin team, who would have to learn each individual system separately. It also was really expensive having that many different subscriptions. Now we can do it all with Baluu. That's one dashboard for our whole business. And one consistent experience for our customers online. **What do you dislike about Baluu?** The one limitation with Baluu, unlike building your bookings / e-commerce pages yourself from scratch, is that you have to use their templated pages. You can't do things like, go into the code and change the size and shape of components, or move things around massively. But to be honest, we're an art school, none of us are that technical, and we can't afford to keep a web developer on our books each month. What we lose in customisation we gain in simplicity. It's great that any one of my team can go in and manage the most important bits of our site, without depending on anyone else. So for us: it's still totally the right call. If you're a much bigger business with your own tech team, and you want something bespoke, then you might find that this is a limitation. **Recommendations to others considering Baluu:** If you are a business that wants to manage your website yourself i.e. you do not have your own tech team / developers, I would strongly recommend Baluu. We're a team of artists, we're not technical at all, and we've managed to get the website of our dreams, all by ourselves. It's really cost-effective, and our customers really appreciate the easy online experience. I would also consider how much you value having a UK based support team you can call, instant message and email, 24/7. For us it's meant, any time we've needed anything, we've felt like we're valued and recognised - not just a tiny fish in an enormous sea of users. **What problems is Baluu solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. Running our whole business on our website: classes, kits, gift cards etc. We have previously needed to use lots of different software, and now one plug in does it all 2. Cost: with all those different plug-ints, and all those different subscriptions, the monthly cost was really high. Mindbody alone was a few hundred pounds, let alone the others! This is a huge saving for us. 3. Ease of use: Mindbody was incredibly hard to navigate for my team. And providing training for each different plug-in was really honerous. Now we have one dashboard for the whole business, which is really self-explanatory to use. 4. Enjoyment-factor for our customers: Our old website was really disjointed, different plug ins behaved and looked different from one another, so the customer journey was really muddled. Now our site is a joy to use (we hope!), very consistent, very clear, very user-friendly. ### 2. I love how friendly the team are - it's a feature rich platform and intuitive to use for my bookings **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022 **What do you like best about Baluu?** I love the bookings tools it provides - I can easily embed a timetable into my website so that potential clients can book group digital marketing sessions with me. **What do you dislike about Baluu?** I would like to be able to do some more branding and move some elements of the page around - but it's not a deal-breaker at all. **Recommendations to others considering Baluu:** I tried other platforms like SimplyBook and BookWhen before switching to Baluu - I just found that the team was a lot more helpful and really provided the support to help me get setup. It's also the most beautiful to look at. If you're looking for something simple to help you take bookings online then there's nothing better that I could find. It works extremely quickly out of the box and looks great - plus it sits nicely on my website when my courses are live. **What problems is Baluu solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using Baluu on my website to take group digital marketing bookings.
