The best thing about AWS lambda is that it gives you an integrated environment to work with. You can integrate with all others services and write custom logic. For example you can easily connect your EC2 server with the API service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are only two problems with AWS Lambda that it by defaults to Cloudwatch and it is not a great service to work with. Also, the support for local development is not great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lambda can be easily used to compile and run code serverlessly which in turn can be fruitful to carry out code based manipulations within the aws account. Like you can use lambda code to send logs from s3 to elastic search making whole process easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Things which are not so good with lambda is :-

1. No more support for old versions of languages like python2.7 is no more supported by boto3 now.

2. Less number of inbuilt packages while makes the user to upload software .packages again and again as zip file Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

what I like the best is I don't have to worry about managing and maintaining servers and I can focus on code execution and debugging—no need to do any admin tasks before setting up the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that sometimes doing everything on your own can become a pain as in server-based projects there is a dedicated admin team assigned but here we have to rely on customer support for each query. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Server less server with no dedicated instance, pay only whenever and how much used, provide multiple IP addresses so no need to buy proxies from outside vendors at very high cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is no such dislike but I would say only 2 things one is costing if we want to use heavy hardware and second is timing process auto terminate after 15 minutes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With AWS Lambda I have been able to automate some menial tasks and some fun tasks for free. With AWS Free Tier. I set up a python script to send my wife a picture of a dog every day at noon. She loves it, and it makes me look good; so far, it hasn't missed a day that I'm aware of. There are so many other tasks that this could be used for. It's amazing what this technology is capable of. There is a little bit of learning that you have to do to become familiar with how Lambda works. If you are technical at all, though, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. The hard part is just making sure that the code will do what you want it to, and the rest is just setting up the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

About lambda I like that it will takes price till that whatever or when we will use . Anytime we can use it or we can stop it . It work as pay as you go only

Sometime codes need to write in larger way and after that it's not applicable for multicloud. Like we can use it only in aws not other cloud do it is specific to aws only Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Memory size should be increased to atleast 10GB for big data workloads

I like lambda function as it saves both money and time we don't need to worry for managing server so it's save our development time and cost of managing server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It limited concurrent execution limit 1000 which they need to extend. Also timeout need to increase currently it's 5 minute only which make issues some time.Hope this will be improved in fucture Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The User interface is one of thing aspect i think AWS is lacking a bit when compared to other products in the market. A new touch of design might further do wonders for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
