## About Amazon EventBridge
Amazon EventBridge is a serverless event bus service that simplifies the creation of event-driven applications by facilitating seamless communication between different components. It enables applications to respond in real-time to events from various sources, including AWS services, third-party SaaS applications, and custom applications, without the need for complex infrastructure management. Key Features and Functionality: - Event Buses: Act as routers that receive events from sources and deliver them to multiple targets, allowing for scalable event routing. - Pipes: Provide point-to-point integrations between event producers and consumers, supporting advanced transformations and enrichment of events prior to delivery. - Scheduler: Enables the creation, execution, and management of scheduled tasks at scale, supporting both cron-based and rate-based expressions for recurring patterns, as well as one-time invocations. - Content Filtering: Allows for complex rules that trigger under specific conditions, reducing the need for custom code in downstream services by handling content filtering at the event bus level. - Integration with AWS Services and SaaS Applications: Natively integrates with numerous AWS services and third-party SaaS applications, facilitating the building of event-driven architectures. Primary Value and Problem Solved: Amazon EventBridge addresses the challenge of building scalable, event-driven applications by providing a managed service that handles event ingestion, filtering, transformation, and delivery. It decouples application components, enabling independent scaling and deployment, which enhances agility and resilience. By offering native integrations and advanced features like content filtering and scheduling, EventBridge reduces the complexity and operational overhead associated with managing event-driven architectures, allowing developers to focus on delivering value through their applications.

## Amazon EventBridge Reviews
  ### 1. Simplifies Event-Driven Architectures Across AWS with Amazon EventBridge

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atharva P. | Cloud BI Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

What I like most about Amazon EventBridge is how easily it supports event-driven architectures across AWS services and applications. It makes it straightforward for different systems to communicate without needing tightly coupled integrations or custom polling mechanisms. I also appreciate the overall simplicity of building event-driven workflows: services can communicate asynchronously without directly depending on one another, which helps improve scalability and flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

Debugging event flows and troubleshooting failed event routing can be challenging at times, especially in environments with lots of rules and integrations. Getting a clear handle on event patterns and permissions also comes with an initial learning curve.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon EventBridge helps us solve the challenge of connecting distributed systems and automating event-driven workflows.

In our case, we use it to trigger downstream processing when files land in S3, automate operational workflows, and route infrastructure events between AWS services. As a result, we’ve reduced manual orchestration effort and improved overall system responsiveness.

  ### 2. Amazon EventBridge: Scalable Real-Time Event Routing with Minimal Overhead

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mani s. | data engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

We use Amazon EventBridge services, which have the ability to build a scalable, event-driven architecture with minimal operational overhead, which is great. It enables real-time event routing across AWS services and applications. The best thing I like is that it supports event filtering and routing rules, so it can ensure that only relevant events trigger downstream processes.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

I don’t have any major dislikes about Amazon EventBridge.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon EventBridge solves the problem of integrating and coordinating events across multiple applications, which is a major advantage. Based on business events, it helps automate ETL workflows, which is the most beneficial part for me. The built-in event delivery, retry mechanisms, and monitoring capabilities are also top notch.

  ### 3. Effortless Microservice Coordination with EventBridge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** anand p. | Sr. Engineering Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

I love most is how EventBridge helps my microservices work together without being tightly glued together like teammates who coordinate by sending clear signals, not by constantly calling each other.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

There are a few things that can be a bit frustrating in real-world use, especially when running a complex system like a marketplace with many microservices debugging can feel like detective work.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my marketplace, lots of things need to happen in response to a single action like when a buyer places an order. Before EventBridge, I had to tightly connect all my services, which made everything fragile, slow to change, and hard to scale. Where everything reacts the right way, at the right time, without getting in each other’s way

  ### 4. One-stop solution to enable all integrations...!!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram D. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

EventBridge makes it a lot easier to establish the integration between different AWS services, whether it is for logging events, sending notifications, or triggering actions automatically. The best part, which I like the most, is that it’s not just limited to AWS; we can also track and respond to events from our external applications and services, making it a perfect solution for event-driven workflows.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

The only drawback I’ve noticed is the limited visibility into the failure events. At times, debugging issues can be a bit challenging, making it harder to pinpoint the root cause of a problem.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon EventBridge has helped us respond quickly to failure events, allowing us to take immediate action and minimizing the downtime. It ensures low response times in case of application failures while quickly notifying the team, helping us maintain system reliability and efficiency.

  ### 5. Effortless Event-Driven Apps with Microservice Architecture

Quick and easy to implement applications that communicate with one another and create scheduled jobs

  ### 6. Effortless and secure asynchronous systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sujith C. | Senior Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

EventBridge supports event rules, which are useful in multiple usecases and scenarios. It supports infrastructure as code using Cloud formation. Fine-grained access controls can be implemented using IAM policies and policy conditions. Integration with many AWS services as well as third party services are supported. No-code solutions for event transformation, which is useful in some scenarios. The CRON based scheduling is also very useful for scheduled tasks.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

By default, there is no way to track see events coming to an event bus, unless we define an event rule to pick the events and feed it to another system or logging solution. There are situations that can cause infinite loops, which could be a nightmare.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps in designing asynchronous systems. Also very useful in designing schedulers.

  ### 7. Great work just as the name to bridge between services of AWS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vipul P. | Azure Administrator, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

Amazon EventBridge as its name signifies worked as a bridge between AWS services for the use case used to send email notifications through SNS for EBS snapshots backups that are created but only once every day by storing all created in lambda in a list once done trigger event bridge and sending an email notification through SNS. it was possible because of Eventbridge. As there are a lot of services it is used frequently and gets easily integrated and implemented.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

Nothing to dislike about working with the event bridge creating rules can be tricky sometimes it is stuck over there when you try to create one. It has its own template that works without any issues. Can be improved.

However, the initial setup complexity, involving intricate event patterns and filtering rules, required a steep learning curve for our IT team.

  ### 9. Used in Jiomart catalog management, and user event logs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AARADHYA S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

As a member of the search team, I really value Amazon EventBridge for updating our product catalog quickly. When we add, change, or remove a product in our inventory, EventBridge automatically gets a message about it. This message updates our search index, making sure that our search results always show the latest information about what we have in stock. Keeping our search results accurate and up-to-date is very important for a good user experience.

Also, I find it very useful that EventBridge can track and send information about what users do, like their searches, clicks, and purchases. We take this information and use systems like AWS Lambda or AWS Kinesis to analyze it. By understanding what users like and do, we can make our search results and suggestions more personal for each user. This way of using data to make things more personal really helps in making our users more interested and happy.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

Its user interface and ease of use. Setup and understanding the best practices for routing rules and event patterns is tough. Better / more comprehensive documentation would help.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon EventBridge really helps us in two big ways:

First, it's great for keeping our product catalog updated in real time. Basically, whenever we add, update, or remove a product, EventBridge gets a notification and immediately updates our search index. This means our search results always show what's actually in stock, which is super important for giving users the right info when they search.

Second, it's awesome for tracking what users do - like what they search for, click on, or buy. We send these events over to dig into what our users like and what they're doing. Then, we use this info to make the search results and recommendations way more personal. This has been good for user search experience.

  ### 26. Working with AWS EventBridge and Serverless for the past 1+ year on a Healthcare Product.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mazhar S. | Freelance Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

The reliability is excellent and since we used cloud watch with event bridge debugging errors too is easy. Its pretty fast too avoid race conditions. We use over 24 events with transform mostly to update the MySQL which serves from a readable DB from the dynamo.

We have custom events in addition to the dynamo change events, which makes our serverless microservice architecture changes easy.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

Debugging in local doesn't work well with serverless offline. Ofcourse there are workarounds, but didn't work well with offline and specially when using dockers causes a lot of issues on the dynamo streams. This was the major issue which our team faces.

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon EventBridge:**

Though event bridge brings up complexity to your project, adding event bridge may help in creating a reliable product on a long time. Spend some time reading about the best practices while implementing, and I am sure the product will be rock solid.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using microservices with docker on a serverless environment with CQRS with Dynamo and MySQL DB.

We using event bridge to passdown event from multiple services to perform actions between internal systems and it really helps us with seperation of concerns and helps in removing duplicaiton of code.

It has really helped us with CQRS - Command–query separation when we are seperating the read actions to a NoSQL DB, formatting them and updating into MySQL DB, this way the data is stored in the write DB without much actions and the data is moved to the formatted DB without much time lag.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

Swimming, these are the difficult moments for me

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon EventBridge:**

Amazon provides the opportunity to give explanations about the danger an object may pose, how to avoid them, and if you commit to taking the object, you are given the possibilities to be able to counter all the risks.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Amazon, I try to measure what I like, evaluate it, and make the decision based on what I don't like, that is, if what I don't like is greater than what I like, I don't take it.

  ### 30. Amazon Event Bridge a more evolved and better version of Amazon CloudWatch Events

  ### 34. We are happy with eventbridge and we use partner integration to have a simplified integration setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

Its easy to setup the integration to a partner and in our case we use zendesk eventbridge partner integration and we then connect it to a microservice by applying a eventbridge rule that filters out to a specific event

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

Its really hard to debug rules if the events is not matching the rules and targets as for today is limited to most of the amazon services

**Recommendations to others considering Amazon EventBridge:**

Its a nice service but there is up to a certain level of events where use of kinsesis is cheaper, there is a talk from reinvent 2019 about this with eventbridge and kinesis

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To write less code to get data from zendesk into the microservice and to be able to scale it out to other services in a easy and scalable way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline M. | Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Amazon EventBridge?**

I can say that with the adoption of the serveless architecture we changed the paradigm and started to have more orientation for events. In this architecture, we program that all these created events are treated as VIP and thought in a unidirectional way.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EventBridge?**

It was a challenge at first but in time everything was ok. No reporting of problems with the tool.

**What problems is Amazon EventBridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What made us use Amazon EventBridge was to first identify with the team the main events of the system. With that, we started to identify the micro-services divisions of the system. We see him as a great replacement for Lambda. Amazon EventBridge has optimized the communication of the teams and their respective services.
