"Handles scale and complex multi-channel journeys, with AI that helps my time management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I love how much the AI helps me with time management. It handles scale and is built to juggle super complex, multi-channel customer journeys for huge databases without breaking a sweat. It also makes campaigns much more relevant, adapting what each customer sees based on their real-time behavior instead of generic blast emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It seems a bit pricey, and you really need to know what you’re doing to use it. It’s not as easy for someone else who’s less experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Email Nurturing and Personalization at Scale with Marketo Engage"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I like best about Marketo Engage is how powerful it is for email nurturing. Engagement Programs make it easy to set up multi-stream nurtures where leads automatically move between streams based on their behavior or lifecycle stage, so people always get content that's relevant to where they are in the buying journey. The cadence controls are flexible, and the exhausted-content alerts help me know when it's time to refresh a stream. I also like that Smart Campaigns let me layer in trigger-based sends on top of scheduled nurture casts — for example, pausing a nurture when someone enters an active sales conversation. Compared to simpler email tools, the segmentation and dynamic content options let me personalize at scale without building dozens of separate emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The UI feels dated and the email editor is limited without HTML skills. There is also a steep learning curve for new users, and native reporting could be stronger for the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep segmentation and lead scoring, at a price you have to justify"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Two things stood out. The segmentation is genuinely deep. Smart lists let you build granular, dynamic audiences on behaviour and demographics without pulling data into another tool, and those segments stay current on their own. The second is lead scoring. The model is flexible enough to combine behavioural and demographic signals into a definition of a qualified lead that sales will actually accept, which is usually the hard part of the exercise. Once both are in place, the nurture programs built on top of them run reliably at scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Cost is the main issue. Marketo is priced at a level that is hard to justify unless you have both the volume and the in-house capability to use the depth you are paying for. On a smaller database, a good part of what you buy goes unused. Native reporting is the other weak point, since anything beyond standard program performance needs an export into an external tool. The email builder is also dated and takes more effort than it should to produce a clean responsive template. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible campaign design and personalization, but AI could be stronger"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like that the design and strategy can be flexible to the vision of the user. It doesn’t limit me to canned options, which makes it easier to build what I actually want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I’ve found the program works better under the least constraints. Also, the AI enablement could be stronger given the current environment. It’s helpful as a processor, but could be better from an agentic standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong for segmentation and A/B testing with large data volumes"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like that it supports working with huge volumes of data that need to be segmented to personalise communication, which is important for the business and helps ensure we cover the entire lifecycle of a customer. Understanding which version of an email performs better is also important, so A/B testing is a key part of the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Marketo takes some time to understand and get comfortable with. It isn’t very intuitive, and I’ve never used it on my mobile phone. If a mobile version exists, it would be good to make it more accessible and easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Marketing Automation with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It really helps me automate and scale cross-channel campaigns. The automated email responses and the integration APIs meet my needs, and the user, role, and access management is solid as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The platform is very powerful, but it can also feel complicated and overwhelming, especially for new users. The interface seems a bit dated and isn’t always intuitive, so even simple tasks can end up taking several steps to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible and Scalable Marketing Automation Powerhouse"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I use Adobe Marketo Engage as the central platform for managing our end-to-end marketing automation and lead lifecycle. I really like its flexibility and scalability, which support us from simple email campaigns to more sophisticated ones. I also really like its powerful automation capabilities using the smart campaign feature. These capabilities allow us to automate complex marketing processes, personalize the customer experience at scale, and manage campaigns across multiple business units with minimal manual effort. The initial setup was very easy, and we got support from the Adobe team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I can only think of landing page creation needing more drag and drop components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong list and data tools, but integrations and AI feel limited without a true CRM"
3/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I really value the data import and export tools and the mailing list management. You need to be able to bring in data from events or other sources to be able to market to them, and if you ever need to leave the platform or have other use cases, exports are also necessary. Lists are needed for all marketing purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The integrations aren’t as well developed or easy to use as they are with some other marketing softwares. The biggest problem with Marketo is that it’s not a CRM in the way that HubSpot is both a CRM and a MAP, so you often need to use a CRM in addition to Marketo, which can make things feel piecemeal and clunky. I also haven’t found the AI to be extremely helpful because of current feature limitations. It’s unable to write full pieces of content fully own its own, which means you have to use a separate tool or involve more human interaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong cross-channel automation and lead nurturing, but weak deliverability and mobile optimization"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It very much helped me automate and scale cross-channel campaigns. It has significantly improved lead quality or readiness by helping identify, nurture, and prioritize leads. The AI-assisted personalization and content optimization made my campaigns much more relevant. I also use it for sending outbound emails, automated email responses, and landing pages and forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Managing email deliverability has been a major weak spot for me. Mobile optimized and conversion rate optimization have also been lacking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong cross-channel automation and lead nurturing, but customization and workflows fall short"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It has really helped me automate and scale cross-channel campaigns. It also noticeably improved lead quality and readiness, and the AI-assisted personalization and content optimization made my campaigns far more relevant. For me, ease of use and setup have been strong, and support has been reliable. Data import/export tools, integration APIs, and social media integration have also been solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Customization, workflow capabilities, and managing users, roles, and access have been ongoing pain points for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
