What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?
Using Adobe Marketo Engage has significantly improved the way I plan and execute campaigns. The automation workflows are among the most valuable features. By setting up nurture streams, leads can move through the funnel automatically based on their behavior, which saves me hours each week compared with manual follow-ups.
The lead scoring and segmentation tools are also especially useful. Rather than sending broad campaigns, I can target users based on engagement, job role, or past interactions. For example, segmenting by content downloads helped increase email engagement rates because the messages felt more relevant.
Another major benefit is its integration with CRM systems. Syncing data between marketing and sales helps ensure qualified leads are passed along in real time, which reduces delays and improves conversion rates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?
UI / UX
The interface can feel dated and unintuitive, especially for new users. Moving between sections like campaigns, assets, and analytics isn’t always clear, which can slow down day-to-day work. For instance, finding specific smart campaigns or editing existing flows often takes multiple clicks and some digging. A more modern, streamlined layout with a clearer hierarchy, along with stronger search functionality, would make the platform easier and faster to use.
Integrations
Marketo integrates well with major CRMs like Salesforce, but some integrations still require substantial setup and ongoing maintenance. Sync delays or field-mapping issues can occasionally affect campaign accuracy and reporting. Expanding native integrations and simplifying the setup process—particularly for non-technical users—would reduce reliance on admin support.
Performance
There are noticeable slowdowns when loading large datasets or working with complex smart lists. This can hurt productivity, especially when deadlines are tight. Better overall responsiveness and shorter load times for high-volume accounts would make a meaningful improvement.
Pricing / ROI
The platform is powerful, but the pricing can be hard to justify for smaller teams or organizations with simpler needs. Some capabilities also feel gated behind higher tiers, which limits access to the full set of features. More flexible pricing options or modular access to features could improve the perceived value.
Support / Onboarding
Onboarding can be difficult because of the platform’s complexity. Although documentation is available, it can be dense and not always beginner-friendly. More guided onboarding, interactive tutorials, and role-based learning paths would help new users ramp up faster. Support response times can also be inconsistent, which may delay resolution when issues come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
