"Challenges and Barriers to Feature Adoption"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I value the core tools that help me plan, optimize, and manage marketing activities effectively. Campaign Management makes it easier to organize, execute, and monitor campaigns. SEO/Keyword Analytics helps strengthen online visibility by identifying high-value keywords and tracking performance over time. I also like AI Copilot for faster, data-driven decisions through intelligent recommendations and automation. Overall, it mostly helped automate and scale cross-channel campaigns. What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Some areas can be frustrating. Search Marketing demands ongoing keyword research, optimization, and constant monitoring to maintain visibility and deliver strong results. SMS Marketing is challenging because of limited message space, strict timing considerations, and the risk of irritating customers if they receive too many messages. Event/Webinar Marketing can also be frustrating since it takes substantial planning, coordination, promotion, and follow-up, and attendance and engagement still aren’t always guaranteed. "Enterprise-grade marketing automation with strong data, customization, and access controls"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like that Data Import & Export makes Adobe Marketo Engage’s data truly usable, that Customization makes the platform adaptable to different needs, and that User/Role/Access Management keeps it secure and manageable. Taken together, these aren’t just nice-to-have features; they’re the core infrastructure that lets Adobe Marketo Engage operate as an enterprise marketing-automation system rather than simply an email-sending tool. It has also helped me automate and scale cross-channel campaigns, including webinars, lead scoring, customer segmentation, and email campaigns, and the AI has been helpful in supporting that automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I’m not sure it has improved lead quality or readiness for me, since its lead generation is functional but I haven’t personally been using it or spent more time with it. I also have only moderate trust in the AI overall, and I’m less confident about how responsibly data is handled, the clarity of controls over what data the AI can access, and how well it explains why it produced a specific result. "Flexible automation for cross-channel campaigns, but integrations and complex workflows take work"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like the flexibility to bring in and manage data from different sources, customize workflows around our requirements, and support different teams and use cases. Automation made campaign setup, audience segmentation, and coordinating communications across channels easier, which makes day-to-day work more efficient and reduces the need for manual workarounds. The AI also helped speed up content and campaign-related tasks by generating suggestions that we could refine and use as a starting point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The APIs can sometimes require additional effort for integrations and troubleshooting, especially for more complex use cases. Workflow capability is powerful but can become complex to configure and maintain as workflows grow. Performance and reliability can also vary with larger or more complex operations, where occasional delays can impact productivity. Some customization, testing, and campaign-specific adjustments still require manual work, and AI outputs often need manual review and editing to match our specific requirements. "Time-saving outbound emails, automation, and dynamic content (with some trial and testing)"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I find these helpful on a daily basis for handling email. When I am busy with other tasks, I can easily automate responses and give follow-ups to my campaigns in outbound emails. What I really like about Dynamic Content is that I can write different e-mails to different groups. I also used the AI features to help create and personalize email content. It provided me a good basis and inspired me to think of ideas quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I find the most frustrating is that those features might take longer than I am looking for or believe it will take. Creating and personalizing emails for basic campaigns is easy, but more sophisticated personalization may necessitate some trial and error. Mobile optimization is useful, but at times I would need to test the email on various screen sizes to ensure that it appears well. Search tracking and optimization can take some time to get right, to understand, and to determine what works and what doesn't. A few ideas from AI had to be tweaked to be suitable for the audience and tone I wanted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong automation and lead scoring, but cross-channel takes integrations and a skilled admin"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I love how strong Marketo Engage is for automation and scaling, especially for email, nurture programs, and lead scoring across long B2B buying cycles. It helped us identify which leads were genuinely engaging (opening emails, visiting pages) so sales could focus on warmer leads instead of guessing. The AI Assistant also helped by generating subject lines, preheaders, section copy, or even entire emails from a template, and image generation runs on Adobe Firefly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The trade-off is that “cross-channel” often ends up meaning stitching together add-ons and integrations, and it takes a skilled admin plus a steep learning curve to unlock the full value. Lead scoring and lead quality only work as well as the rules and data you set up, so it required regular tuning. The AI output still needed a human to review and test, since the suggestions were only as strong as the audience data and brand guidance we provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong workflows and integrations, but customization and content management can be confusing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I could not work without the workflow capability, integration APIs, and the data import and export tools. Workflow capability helps me automate different marketing tasks and manage leads easily. Integration APIs are useful so I can connect Marketo with other tools that I use. Data import and export is important for managing and moving my marketing data without much problem. I have also used the AI features to help create content for an email campaign. It gave me a good starting idea and saved some time, and it helped me get ideas to personalize campaign content before an event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Customization can be a little complicated and sometimes it takes more time to get things work the way I want. Social media integration feels like it could be better. Content management can become confusing when there is a lot of content and campaigns to manage. I also wish it had a better email builder with more easy customization, and the drag and drop could be much better because sometimes it is not very easy to create things quickly. I wish the live chat feature was more developed and worked more smoothly. With AI, the first output was not exactly what I wanted and I had to change some parts myself, so I would not fully depend on it without checking the content. "Strong automation and deliverability, but A/B testing and mobile UI feel clunky"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like that it helps automate and scale cross-channel campaigns, mostly. Sending outbound emails and managing email deliverability work well for me. The AI and automation were especially useful when I needed to build a targeted campaign for a specific lead segment, since it surfaced relevant engagement signals and guided what to do next, cutting down on manual checking (even though I still reviewed the results myself). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

A/B testing feels more complex than it should be. Configuring different varieties of variants, scheduling, and reporting consumes a lot of time, and it takes additional monitoring and analysis to check correctness. I also don’t use the mobile view because it’s not optimized as expected and can be messy to handle on a small screen with the current UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong campaign automation and AI-assisted email drafting, but AI can be generic"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I love how Marketo Engage helped us automate and scale cross-channel campaigns by streamlining audience segmentation, email workflows, lead nurturing, and campaign scheduling. The AI was especially helpful when I was building a marketing campaign and needed to quickly generate and polish email content for different audience segments. It offered useful variations and saved me time during the early drafting phase, and the AI-assisted personalization/content optimization helped tailor messaging to different segments and engagement patterns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Some AI suggestions felt too generic and didn’t fully fit our campaign context, so I still needed to review the text and tailor the output before using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Automation, But Complex Interface"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I really like how flexible the automation is in Adobe Marketo Engage. I can build targeted campaigns, personalize follow-ups, and manage different audiences efficiently without having to do everything manually. The email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign analytics are the features I value most. They make it easier to target the right prospects, automate follow-ups, and quickly see what is working. This definitely saves me time by reducing repetitive follow-ups and keeps everything organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The interface can feel a bit complex at first, and some workflows take time to setup. Reporting could also be more intuitive and easier to customize. The initial setup was a bit of a learning curve, and getting the integration and automation rules right required some trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Advanced Automation with Room for UI Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I like best about Adobe Marketo Engage is its powerful automation capabilities and highly flexible lead management system. The platform allows us to create advanced, behavior-based trigger campaigns that seamlessly guide leads through our sales funnel. Its native integration with major CRMs ensures our data stays synced in real-time, which eliminates manual work and improves overall efficiency. It gives our marketing team the exact tools needed to scale campaigns and personalize customer experiences effortlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I dislike most about Adobe Marketo Engage is its steep learning curve and its somewhat outdated user interface. It takes a significant amount of time and training for new team members to get comfortable with the platform. Additionally, the email and landing page builders feel rigid compared to newer tools, often requiring custom coding for unique designs. The pricing is also quite high, meaning you really need a dedicated, experienced team to maximize the return on investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
