I’d test confidentiality at the object level, not just ask whether the platform has role-based access. Sensitive cases often contain individual notes, attachments, witness statements, and legal material that may need narrower visibility than the case itself. The harder question is whether access can change as an investigation progresses while leaving a clear audit trail of who viewed or changed sensitive information. That is where general HR ticketing and purpose-built investigation workflows can start to feel very different.
