That handy add-on allowed our team to see a Slack message every time our various Heroku apps got a new version deployed. There is a Slack app called Heroku ChatOps that might be able to accomplish this, but it is clear in the docs for that tool that it requires your Heroku app to be using their Pipelines feature. Our apps do not use that, and we just wanted a simple note dropped into Slack when there was a new deployment made. In addition, their customer support is top-notch. I wrote to their support about how to accomplish two different things, and in less than a full day they had already added a small feature to let me accomplish one of those things. And a couple days later, they had added a new feature to let me do the other thing. Phenomenal! **What do you dislike about Activity To Go?** Nothing! It's fantastic and all positive. **What problems is Activity To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?** This allows us to know when a deployment has truly successfully been deployed. It's not just that our CI triggered the job, or that the CI finished up, but it is confirmation that Heroku itself put out a new build successfully. ### 2. It's also very easy to setup which saves a lot of my time, as Heroku's built in App Webhooks is not really super intuitive to use. The plugin also offers streaming activity logs to S3 which is helpful for having internal audit logs. The support is awesome as well with quick turnaround time! **What do you dislike about Activity To Go?** There's nothing much really as the add-on is pretty straightforward on what it does. I guess a small nitpick is that currently when a release is triggered, it creates two duplicate entries (one for Created release and another for Updated release). It's only a small minor problem anyway. **What problems is Activity To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?** Heroku application updates sent to Slack for monitoring and collaboration. Stream activity logs to S3 for audit logs and compliance.
