Activity To Go replaces the now-discontinued Heroku Deploy Hooks add-on that Heroku got rid of in mid-February 2023. That handy add-on allowed our team to see a Slack message every time our various Heroku apps got a new version deployed.
There is a Slack app called Heroku ChatOps that might be able to accomplish this, but it is clear in the docs for that tool that it requires your Heroku app to be using their Pipelines feature. Our apps do not use that, and we just wanted a simple note dropped into Slack when there was a new deployment made.
In addition, their customer support is top-notch. I wrote to their support about how to accomplish two different things, and in less than a full day they had already added a small feature to let me accomplish one of those things.
