What do you like best about Accelevents?

"Easy yet everything you need and more"

What do you like best about Accelevents?

We evaluated dozens (literally dozens) of platforms for our CISO event. Given that we are in the security space, we take data privacy very seriously. Of everyone we chatted with, Accelevents gave us the greatest level of comfort around data privacy and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Accelevents?

The image upload process while setting up the event was annoying because we had to size the images before uploading them. The support team said that they are working to replace the upload process later this month though so I’m excited for that enhancement before our next event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Accelevents solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our goal was to bring together our community for education and share knowledge about the industry. This was predominantly done as presentations and panel discussion. The live chat, along with polls and Q&A allowed us to engage our audience during these sessions. Given that our audience is busy professions, the automatic recording and playback built into the platform was great for those who missed live sessions.

Networking is also a big piece for us, we were a bit unsure how well it would work in the virtual environment but it worked out great. We got good feedback from attendees on the speed networking, but the ability for attendees to book meetings with each other and with our exhibitors directly on the platform was huge. "Our first event was a huge success"

What do you like best about Accelevents?

Ease of use. Given that everyone has been on Zoom for the last year, we were nervous to try something new but we wanted a full event experience instead of another Zoom meeting. The setup was easy, the support was always available when we needed it, and most importantly our attendees found the platform very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Accelevents?

Closed captions, We used a 3rd party service which was embedded into Accelevent. It worked fine but it would have been easier if it was built in. All the platforms we reviewed seemed to use a 3rd party integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Accelevents solving and how is that benefiting you?

We hosted our annual client summit. We normally get together in person once per year, share updates and our plan for the next 12 months. It is a multi day event with many presentations and breakouts. We wanted to make it easy for attendees to navigate the event and find the proper sessions, the platform delivered exactly as we imagined. Moving forward, we will likely go back in person or hybrid (on Accelevents) for our annual summit, and move our quarterly meetings onto the platform as well, given that it was more organized and interactive than sending Zoom meetings. What do you like best about Accelevents?

I don't necessarily dislike anything, but I would like to see a feature added that allows attendees to communicate with the presenters during an event verbally. So during a "Q&A" period, rather than type their questions, they could be given temporary access to the "mic" to ask their question and then go back on mute. Also, while we do offer Workshop sessions for attendees and speakers to have the opportunity to be on camera and mic together, I totally get where you're coming from in wanting attendees to be able to hop on mic for a main stage or breakout session. I'll have our Product team look into it!

What do you like best about Accelevents?

Scaleable pricing (with the future of events unknown and our attendance can fluctuate) so we needed something that grew and shrank with us. The product has grown leaps and bounds since we first used them in August of 2020. It really is a self-start/self-service solution. Their documentation has also improved. "Our first event was a huge success"

What do you like best about Accelevents?

- Customization. We really wanted a brand experience, not just another webinar. With the platform we were really able to build out our brand look and feel.

- Analytics. We were able to use the attendee data we collect within our other marketing channels, which ended up bringing in a good chunk of revenue post event as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Accelevents?

The cost per attendee seemed a bit high, which made us nervous. However, we had a lot of people who registered but did not attend (which we expected as a free event) and Accelevents does not charge for this which is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Accelevents solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are an ecommerce brand. We are in a crowded space, the goal of the event was to engage our customer base, get in front of a new audience, and thus drive product sales and subscription sign ups. We brought in some known personalities in our space to drive attendance to the event. We were able to use the expo to list our products, and drive traffic and sales directly to our Shopify store. We were a bit nervous about the cost of the event (and what we spent for speakers), but it ended up net positive so we are already planning our next event for Q4. "San Antonio Book Festival- Online Edition- AE review"

What do you like best about Accelevents?

After researching many different virtual event platforms, what stood out to me the most was Accelevents Studio. It was important to us to make it feel like you had arrived at a festival rather than a zoom meeting. With the attendee registration, ability to add exhibitors, networking features, and the people tools-- all in one platform gave us the features we were expecting. The ease of use to build the site was a significant plus, and having knowledgeable tech support 24/7.

What do you dislike about Accelevents?

I never had buyer's remorse after we committed to using Accelevents. There were some items I wish could have been improved or implemented. Uploading sessions using the provided template was challenging, and lots of edits still had to be made. Though the upgraded studio has resolved this issue; I still will comment on this; It would have been convenient to list moderators as speakers but not have them listed in the speaker's section. Adding moderators to the speaker tab in an order that wasn't disruptive to our speaker section was such a time-consuming task of figuring out the best place to put each moderator.

Tech issues that needed to be resolved or didn't have an immediate resolution -- communicating with tech support is excellent and, more than not will answer your questions. However, when they turn over the issue to the engineers, there seems to be a lack of communication. And you feel as if your concern went into thin air. Perhaps tech support could generate a ticket with your tech issue so there is a resolution.

Help articles- are a tremendous help but often would like to share documents vs. a URL. It would be great if there were a way to download these articles to either a .doc or PDF. Using these for training materials and you may want to add your notes.

The ability to add graphics into your session without having to use RTMP would be fantastic.

Often times the moderators/speakers didn't know when they were live even though the status bar says you are LIVE. many of our recordings show the presenters talking at the beginning of there presentation "I don't know if we are live" and just waitng and then just start to talk with out being sure if they were actually live. Recommendations to others considering Accelevents:

This platform is worth to be looked at and worth the investment to make your virtual or hybrid event one that is enjoyable for your team and attendees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Accelevents solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had two issues during our virtual festival-- that the studio just stopped broadcasting, and then it wouldn't start broadcast after it had stopped. This issue, unfortunately, was never resolved. I did not receive an update on what happened until after our event at the time of this survey. This was another issue that I haven't yet brought to the attention of Accelevents:

1. At 4pm, our precise start time, I clicked the “Start Broadcast” button. And was greeted by that bar showing the progress of the loading. We reached 4:01 and the broadcast was still loading!! If I’d known it was going to take so long to load I would’ve hit the start button earlier. (I was on google chrome & have an excellent high-speed internet connection)

2. Then disaster struck: after the program finally finished loading, we got a message saying Program Failed to Start (or something like that.) Jesus! I got some sort of prompt asking me if I wanted to start the broadcast again. I clicked that and got an error message, telling me that the program was already airing on this URL. But we couldn’t see any program nor were we on air. About this time (4:02 I believe) I got a message from Maritza telling me it was past 4pm. I explained to her what was going on and she somehow got our session started.

3. After our volunteer joined us, we developed more than an echo – it was a 10-15 second delayed recording of ourselves speaking! Took a while for us to figure out what was going on! Barb thought at first it might be a different session we were listening in on – but we all stopped to listening, and it gradually became clear that the people speaking were us! In a parallel universe. We sorta were wondering what to do about that when our volunteer said, “I’ll just stop the session.” And, boom. It was over! A few minutes early, without a chance to say goodbye to the audience. But what the hell… Then, boom, all of the sudden the session started back up again! And so we continued for the last 5 minutes and 41 seconds.

4. I know it’s 5 minutes and 41 seconds because someone contacted me to ask why our program only lasted that long. They’d missed the live session and clicked on the recording you have – and there it is, 5:41. The first 39 minutes is MIA, apparently.

Something similar happened during our session with Sandra Cisneros they never knew they were live as it kept telling them the broadcast had not started and there was a failure but yet they were LIVE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has of course been a long time since this review and your event, but I still wanted to cover some of the issues you mentioned just in case you plan to use us in the future:

- we have improved the session uploader and expanded what's able to be imported since this review was left

- we've also implemented a more frequent check-in cadence when we need to get engineers involved. If an issue takes a few days to solve, you should at least hear back from us once per day with updates until it's fixed. If you'd like more frequent updates, we're happy to oblige!

- I love the idea of making our Help Center articles available via PDF, I'll submit this to our Product team!

- We now have a new default stream provider for the Accelevents Studio, which was still in the early stages during your event. It has proven to be much more stable and reliable than our previous provider, so I wouldn't expect you to see an issue like the one described again!

"A Great Platform For Virtual Conferences"

What do you like best about Accelevents?

Our attendees loved how easy it was to navigate through the platform during the conference. As an admin, I liked how easy it was to build and launch the conference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There were a few bugs (password reset requests, PowerPoint issues for presenters) but they were nothing that hindered the platform or our conference.
