**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has turned the contracting experience at the company I work for from a tedious, manual, and disjointed process to a process that is automated, consistent, and secure for all of our employees.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is a very powerful tool, and with great power comes great responsibility. Ensuring the system is properly set up not only for current success, but also for future success is something I had to learn along the way. The complexity of the system is challenging to understand at first, which is something I wish I was better suited to understand at the beginning.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contract consistency. Before Ironclad, contracts were created from either cloud-based templates or templates sitting on someone's desktop. After Ironclad, all contracts are now created using the most up to date template available.
Approval clarity. Before Ironclad, an approval may have gone to a large queue of a number of approvers. Now the approval is assigned to a specific person whom the business user can interact with to ensure a timely review of their contract.
Signature Security. Before Ironclad, we had some issues with proper usage of electronic signature tools. After Ironclad, all of our contracts are automatically tagged for customer signature without need for user interaction.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is an all-in-one contract management system that has allowed us to enable our business department users to engage in more self-service, increasing their accessibility to their department's contract workflows and contracts, while freeing up bandwidth for Legal to focus on more substantive work. The Ironclad team has consistently been helpful, responsive, warm, and friendly, making for a positive user experience. The Dashboard is visually appealing and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

About 8 months out, a few of our users are experiencing error messages from time to time when submitting contract workflow requests, which does delay the contract process.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is helping us solve accessibility issues for business departments, which frees up time for Legal to focus on more substantive work rather than searching for a specific contract for a department user or looking up where a workflow is currently at and updating the department user. In Ironclad, the department user can access their department's contracts and can look up a workflow to see what stage a contract is at. This provides instant accessibility to the department user, rather than their having to wait for Legal to respond to their email for these questions. At the same time, it frees up Legal from time-consuming busy work and allows Legal to focus on more substantive issues.

  ### 4. A powerful, flexible and intuitive Contract Management Platform

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

It is powerful, flexible and intuitive for administrators to build workflows. User support is good and the regular (quarterly) updates and releases are excellent (Ironclad has already actioned a number of my suggestions).

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

As a user located in Australia, support takes longer than it should (usually it requires over 24 hours to receive a satisfactory response). Some of the support received to date has not been effective, in that troubleshooting techniques which I had already attempted were proposed by the support team, leading to an increase in time taken to resolve the issue.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Streamlining and automating our procurement process.
2. Making the procurement process more efficient from end-to-end.
3. Capturing internal reviews and approvals in the one platform, rather than through several email threads.
4. Having a powerful and searchable contract repository.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Smooth interface to create new workflows that adapt to your organization's needs.
For instance, Ironclad allows for customizable placeholders, aka fields, where you can have either you or the signer complete as many fields as needed. Also, during the workflow launch process, you can set parameters to either enable or disable sections of the workflow. This means if a client were to require an NDA, you could check that off as you launch the workflow, and an NDA would appear at the end when the client signs.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Downsides of the product tend to be primarily the price - Ironclad is one of the leading platforms in contract management and as Ironclad delivers many premium features no one else offers, their pricing model tends to be on the premium end, which might not be ideal for smaller businesses.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad Contract Management Software is solving many needs for our operations team (i.e., employment offer letters with varying degrees of customizability, volunteer agreements, separation agreements, telecommuting agreements, and other operation agreements). This enables our team to run seamlessly and efficiently with the respective partners/staff/new hires.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is probably currently the best CLM on the market. The tool is super user friendly and allows the users to build complex workflows that reflect internal rules. Thanks to all new AI-powered features, there is a huge potential to help internal legal teams to be more efficient in daily contract agenda. I also appreciate the entire Ironclad Community that allows LegalOps proffessionals to exchange experiences.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

There are still several features that could be improved, especially the editor that still struggle with the formatting as we are not able to edit documents with more complex formatting there. However, these imperfections do not materially effect the use of the tool and do not significantly decrease user experience.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironcald represents the main legal tools within the company and helps to keep control over the entire contracting procress, from using the correct template to collect all relevant approvals. Ironclad helps to increase the efficiency and shorten the contracting process.

I love the flexibility Ironclad offers to power users in designing the workflows, allowing a single action to impact multiple business-units without hassle.

The loading time is often slower that I would expect from a web-app in 2023.

Ironclad allowed me to centralize all my work around my key-workflows. From template version management to providing recommendations to my users, or integrating new policies, I can do it all from a central place.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has been instrumental in streamlining our contracting process for many of our most common agreements. Routine contracts that often take days to sign can be fully executed and properly stored within hours. I really enjoy the recent update that merges changes to the launch form into the latest version of the agreement, which is key for small updates like names and addresses.  The Support team responds quickly and is constantly innovating to improve the system. Our business users love it because of how quickly and easily a contract can be drafted and signed.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

On a technical side, it can be difficult to make substantial updates to standard contract templates because the online editor is limited. The contract must be reuploaded to the system, and re-tagging everything becomes a hassle. I'm still working with the playbooks, but it doesn't always insert new language as cleanly into the agreement as when we do it manually. Ironclad isn't particularly built for the entertainment industry, so it can be tricky to adapt the software to fit our needs, but we are making the most of the available tools.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is helping us to quickly and efficiently get routine contracts signed. It eliminates the need for us to pull up the same template every time and risk making mistakes. It speeds up emailing the initial draft and its incorporation of eSignature platforms makes it a seamless execution process.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad links to our internal operating system which allows for a seamless transfer of vital information, which can then be edited and sent to the necessary parties. Beyond this, is the ability to easily find completed agreements, even if they are from years ago.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I think the information taken from our source system could provide more options to auto-fill information, but this is negligible, to be honest. The vital info seems to all be added and what is left, may not exist within our system and need to be added manually.

We are able to locate documents from previous years easily. Before this, we often had to hunt these down and look through emails of former employees for context.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is a game-changer when sending out agreements and managing the redline process. Gone are the days of back-and-forth emails and multiple versions floating around. Ironclad has helped automate pulling information from Salesforce into the agreement, as well as communicating with our legal teams to get redlines done.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Sometimes it can be difficult getting changes from Salesforce into Ironclad, but I think that is more of our own internal process than it is a function of Ironlad itself

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad has helped automate the redline process, as well as getting contacts out for signature. We were using Google Documents and DocuSign before, which is a recipe for disaster.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad is incredibly administrator and user-friendly for a growing company that does not have a large IT team to support a legal tool. They leverage a lot of technology that most users are accustomed to using from other tools they have been trained to use already. For example, the activity feed resembles Slack and Salesforce messaging, which most sales users use so there was little training there.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

The dashboard needs some improvement to help with intake management. Most users are using other tools to manage who is working on each workflow and where the workflow sits internally OR having to add a large number of approvals to be able to sort better from within Ironclad.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is solving our revenue-facing workstream for Order Forms and negotiated master agreements. We will also be rolling out Ironclad to manage our vendor-facing process as well. 

In both instances, Ironclad is providing us an audit trail as a growing VC-backed company for all of our contracting processes. As a bonus, it is also acting as a stopgap in lieu of purchasing other tools (for example, a quoting system within Salesforce and a procurement management system) at a time when we are trying to be careful with costs and did not feel our volume yet warranted the spend on such tools.

Ironclad workflows are very useful for our company and the self-help resources are quite robust. But it's the support we get from our account manager that really makes Ironclad a standout. Katherine is super responsive and always so helpful to answer our questions. Thanks so much for supporting us Katherine!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad support can be a bit difficult to work with in resolving an issue. They seem quick to try and close the ticket without digging into the issue to really understand the problem.

Our company engages in many contracts for general business. This allows our team to kick off contracts without having to go through legal as the contracts are pre-approved by legal, streamlining the legal need.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

The documents and workflows will save your team so much time in administrative tasks, while at the same time removing the likelihood of errors for the documents housed within Ironclad. The e-sign integration is excellent. The audit trail is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Some of the settings are not intuitively located, but once you learn you are golden. The main issue with Ironclad is that compared to some of its competitors, its document editor is a 2/10. The document editor works for our needs given you can download the document, locally edit, and then reupload, but competitors do not require this, so building a more robust editor would be desirable.

The product serves to create, execute, and house legal documents.

Ironclad makes it really easy for us to create, send and get agreements signed when we need processes to move quickly and efficeintly. Compared to other providers like this, it's my favorite!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

From my experience so far, I havent had a lot of issues I can reference, but I think that the user interface could be a little bit more friendly and the stages / dashboard could be easier to use.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves our process for getting agreements signed by our customers and doing so in a quick and efficient manner! My whole team uses this and it so easy to setup / train on so everybody is efficient!

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

When it works, it works seamlessly. Its brilliant to report out of and it is extremely adaptive/contains enough workarounds in order to repurpose to other needs.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Formatting is not great, especially in PactSafe. Actually, Pactsafe is pretty bad in that regard. Also, the legacy data fields are pretty annoying. Would LOVE a way to clean those out.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pretty much everything. We have transitioned out interal sales process, external purchasing, confidentiality agreements, employee documentation, you name it, into ironclad.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love how Ironclad can compare documents within the app itself and keeps track of different versions that are uploaded.  Ironclad also allows different approvers to be assigned so there are multiple checks in place.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I don't like how Ironclad doesn't work very well with gdocs. Also, Ironclad respository has limitations on how the documents can be opened and reviewed. Sometimes the backfunction doesn't work as well as it should.

Ironclad's repository makes it easy for documents to be searched by different departments for audit as well as internal review.  Ironclad also provide search function where I can search for key words and all the relevant docs with that word will come up.

Ironclad is super easy to use, and has a good user experience. The software makes it very easy to store contracts, and for the attorneys to make the necessary changes during the contracting process. Nice integration with Docusign makes it easy to send contracts out for signature.

The SSO log-in can be a little clunky, it takes a few moments to log in sometimes but maybe that is just my set-up.

Ironclad makes it very easy for the sales rep to stay on top of terms that are being negotiated throughout the contract lifecycle. It is easy for legal teams to collaborate on contracts.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

We've found Ironclad to be a constructive partner in our automation journey.  Its design principles (notably: not requiring counterparties to log into Ironclad in order to participate in auditable workflows; agnostic on e-signature integration) are shared by some other platforms, but those platforms tend not to have the same thoughtful UX.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Like many vendors, Ironclad goes a little too hard on the capabilities of its AI-based solutions.  These aren't reliable, but then anyone with any experience in the world of legaltech would probably expect that!  Ironclad is also a relatively mature/ late-stage business - if you're interested to work with a very agile vendor to shape a product which is custom to your use-case, you might find Ironclad a little institutional for your tastes.

Scalable contract automation, white-label to Salesforce; metadata-level analysis of volume contracting workflows (i.e. we can see where changes are made across our contract universe); light playbook integration; process visibility.

Ironclad has signifigantly improved our process for completing contracts - from issuing, review and signature. We also have Ironclad integrated with oir CRM, so contract details easly sync over to our customer records which allows us to have a single source of truth.

The searching for individual contracts is sometimes cumbersome. Would love to be able to tag and or flag individual contratcs that I need to keep an eye on. Also (and maybe this is juts our confuiguration) I need to login from the Okta dashboard - I can't login using Okta from the Ironclad login like I can with our our vendors.

Ironclad is second to none when it comes to building a community with their customers, in *listening* to their customers and in improving their tool taking those customer impressions/requests/tips into account.

For my specific use-case I think the lack of an out-of-the-box integration with a procurement tool is heavily felt by our team currently, but this will not be relevant for all Legal Departments/companies. As a startup, it would make a ton of difference for us.

I like the interface, is clean and simple. It allows for cross-functional teams to contribute in a same workflow, which allows getting the required approvals. Labeling users automatically adds them to the workflow, which is extremely useful.

I have learned how to send an email directly to the workflow, but this functionality seems hidden, and sometimes I find it hard to explain this to other teammates. I would also love to be able to add and edit redlines within the platform, instead of having to download the Word document and upload it again.

I have to sign legal agreements with partners all over the world, at different time zones, and working with several different internal and external cross-functional teams, and Ironclad works just great for this.

Once you have all of the settings in place for a workflow, the process is magic. It completely streamlines what used to be a very difficult and disconnected process.

(1) Workflow design and the process for organizing company settings is not intuitive. (2) A lack of a setting allowing for edits following a final approval makes us start back at the beginning of the review process. I'd prefer that an administrator be able to override this and select only those stakeholders who should review. (3) I wish that users could select if or which in-flight contracts sourced from a workflow should be subject to changes that are made to workflows.

Ironclad workflows are easy and intuitive to build and their customer service is the best. Addiitonally, Ironclad takes product improvement feedback seriously and we often see our feedback result in product enhancements.

It's easy to accidentally create duplicate property names with slight differences which causes confusion when running reports. It would be helpful when uploading a record or creating a workflow to get notified of similar property names so you can avoid creating duplicates.

At a 50-person org, you are probably saving at least one headcount -- either in legal or wherever team has the heaviest legal throughput.  This headcount savings is exponential with growth, especially when considering person-hours and efficiencies.

Ironclad was incredibly easy to use and build for my whole company to use. It took me 1 class and a month to get the hang of the application, and it only took a couple of Knowledge Articles for my employees to pick up the application and move forward without much assistance. The tool is smooth, efficient and intuitive; I can not recommend it more!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

When uploading documents, some of the AI can still be a bit hit or miss, so additional care is needed to ensure the correct information is recorded for each field. But I have already seen an improvement since it was initially launched, and I believe this tool will improve as the technology improves.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This application solves a number of problems for us. 1. Contract Repository. 2. Contract workflow - which provides both internal approvals and routing for signature. 3. Controlled access - preventing unauthorized employees from signing when they should not, and from signing something not approved by Legal or Finance. 4. Redline collaboration - a comprehensive location to make and share changes with third parties, which has saved much time and back-and-forth emails.

The customizability of workflows to generate documents is excellent! After looking at numerous CLMs IronClad is easily the best for generating commercial contracts. Using the workflow builder tool, you can easily create custom launch pages to generate documents, contracts, and order forms for various uses. Additionally, with the formula's function and dynamic tables, you can create a simplified end-user experience to create complex documents. With the use of conditions, you can tailor notifications and document approvals for multiple internal stakeholders, including sales, finance and legal. With the wealth of information on the IronClad academy website and very active forums used by fellow IronClad admins, it's easy to get up to speed on implementing more complex features and functions. Finally, the customer service is excellent. During my time as an admin, I get a response to support tickets within a few hours, and IC support staff always follow up to make sure my issues have been resolved.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Due to the creative nature of building workflows, starting from scratch when you want to implement complex functionality can be daunting. However, once you are in the tool and using it to create and maintain workflows, it becomes second nature. Additionally, the fact that there is such an active online forum makes it easy to brainstorm with other admins about how best to approach a challenge. There is a significant skill ceiling due to the freedom the workflow builder allows. Still, once you know how to implement basic functionality, it's easy to implement much more complex forms and logic to fulfill the needs of various stakeholders about your contract generating and storage requirements.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company mainly sells SAAS products as well as numerous other products that do not fit into the traditional SAAS mold. IronClad allows us to use a singular launching page for sales staff to generate commercial contracts for numerous products, all with different in-built pricing logic and different terms and conditions that apply and attach to the contract depending on the types of products sold. Without IronClad, we would be swamped with manual processes to customize documents, creating a massive bottleneck in legal review and getting customer contracts out the door for review/signature. Additionally, the AI features that IC is implementing are helping our legal dept to find additional efficiencies with putting legacy scanned contracts into a database that the software can recognize numerous contract fields through optical character recognition. Finally, the playbooks feature allows our staff to quickly review customer redlines to see what are pre-approved alternatives to our default terms and conditions to get negotiations to progress promptly.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

Ironclad's significant feature updates, particularly in the Editor, helps redlining easier. This helps you compare versions, merge and collaborate with other revierwers in a seamless manner. Ironclad also offersenhanced analytics and workflow visibility, driving improved team performance. Workflow creation is very intuitive that integrates seamlessly with Salesforce for streamlined contract drafting.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Ironclad has the potential to enhance its capabilities by offering increased visibility into renewal terms and end dates, with the addition of a timeline feature that would significantly aid in improved tracking and communication with stakeholders.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Comparing of versions and more efficient redlining. Better collaboration with Clients. More productive in reviewing contracts. Improved our efficiency and reduced our turn around time for contracts.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

It has an easy process, and all updates about any documents are visible to all stakeholders, and the stakeholders can easily communicate within Ironclad.

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

Sometimes the software may seem a bit complicated initially. Reporting can be tricky

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad helps me create IOs for my clients and internal stakeholders for easy signing and closing paperwork.

**What do you like best about Ironclad?**

I love how simple it is to draft up an agreement for separate entities very quickly! The creator interface is great and I think it's also very simple for the end user as well!

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

I don't have any cons to share! This is a great product for agreement sending, signing, and management.

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad allows me to easily create an agreement for several different entities that need to sign. It has saved me time in having to go to my compliance team for assistance. I can do it all on my own!

I like being able to add in new team members when something has been edited and needs to be reviewed

I dislike when I have to change a standard template that additional approvals are necessary

keeping all agreements in one place so i can keep track of what is already executed as well as what stages the current agreements are in.

How easy it is to get something very complicated done in a fraction of the time and that users actually enjoy

**What do you dislike about Ironclad?**

It's such a robust product that there are almost too many functionalities for some users

**What problems is Ironclad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ironclad is handling many different types of contracts for us across many different operation companies around the globe. It has provided us standardization and visiblity into an area (contracts) where previously there was none.

It is easy to use for our team and is built so that everything is approved by our legal department, and we can not mess anything up!

So far so good!I really have no complaints as it is super user friendly and built into Salesforce.
