What do you like best about SurveyLab?

Although it is still possible to make the best of SurveyLab at the app.surveylab.com website, what stands out is the ease with which SurveyLab is used. This includes customizing, distributing, and evaluating the results of surveys irrespective of one's acquired skills. Through the ergonomic nature of the application, users can create more effective questions instead of being trapped in complicated step-by-step technical instructions.

Also worth noting are the many types of surveys that can be designed assigning different sorts of instructions with ease. This includes clues that are in the multiple-choice format, the open-form, and even rank-based questions enabling a custom fit to the respondents needs. The overall experience is enhanced alongside having brand loyalty through the custom templates for logos and colors to fit the surveys for branding and designing purposes. What do you dislike about SurveyLab?

Although SurveyLab contains a number of helpful features, some limitations are noted by others.

SurveyLab's Most Important Limitations:

Lack of Advanced Features: Advanced features such as advanced grading analytics and branching logic are a few of the advanced features other survey platforms offer and SurveyLab does not have. Such expert users may find that extremely limiting.

Customization Template Selection: Although users can customize their templates, SurveyLab may not provide as wide a selection of fill-in survey templates as some of its competitors. Users may have to spend additional time designing their own custom forms to their specifications with design tools.

Payment Model: Infrequent users who wish to create surveys might find the payment model to be an issue. Small businesses or individual users, for example, might not be in a position to pay a minimum subscription and core features that accompany higher-tiered plans. What do you like best about SurveyLab?

What I Like Best About SurveyLab

Flexibility of survey creation & advanced logic — SurveyLab lets you build complex, dynamic surveys with branching logic, skip patterns and a variety of question types. This flexibility makes it easy to segment respondents, tailor flows, and capture nuanced feedback.

Ease-of-use and fast setup — There’s no need to install software; everything runs in the browser. The user interface is clean and intuitive, making survey creation, distribution and analysis straightforward — even for those without deep technical skills.

Multichannel & device-agnostic deployment — You can deploy surveys via PC, tablet, mobile, SMS or even QR code, and the platform automatically adjusts layout for the device. That’s important in today’s mobile-heavy world, especially if you want to reach users where they are.

Integrations & data workflow support — SurveyLab offers integrations with CRM tools, BI/DWH systems, helpdesk tools, and other parts of a business stack. That means feedback can flow directly into your analytics or customer-data systems, enabling faster, more actionable insight.

Scalable & suitable for both small and large organizations — Whether you're a small team doing occasional UX feedback, or running enterprise-level market research or customer-experience studies, SurveyLab scales to fit.

From a CRO perspective, this combination of flexibility, ease-of-use, and integration capability makes SurveyLab a very effective tool to run A/B testing feedback loops, post-purchase satisfaction surveys, onboarding feedback, user-experience diagnostics — and to tie those insights directly into behavioural or revenue data streams. What do you dislike about SurveyLab?

What I Dislike (or What Could Be Better)

Filtering & deep analysis limitations — Some users report that data filtering and reporting tools could be more powerful. When you need to drill deep into sub-segments or do advanced cross-tab analysis, the built-in tools may feel limiting.

Relative lack of pre-built templates for niche / industry-specific surveys — While SurveyLab supports flexible survey construction, there seems to be less head start if you need specialized templates (e.g. for specific verticals or very industry-specific use cases). Some reviewers wished there were more ready-made templates to speed up deployment.

Some performance / loading issues in complex or large surveys — Particularly when dealing with slower internet connections or very complex survey flows, page load times can slow down, which may affect user experience and completion rates.

Premium-feature gating / cost barrier for full functionality — As with many SaaS tools, certain advanced features (e.g. more elaborate logic, integrations, custom branding, exporting) may only be available on higher-tier plans — which might limit usage if budget is tight.

From a CRO vantage point, these drawbacks can matter: limited analytics depth can hamper actionable segmentation; loading delays can impact response completion rates; and missing templates can slow down time-to-insight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
