Suplari

Suplari is an enterprise spend analysis and procurement analytics platform. It reads purchasing, supplier and contract data out of the systems an organisation already runs, resolves it into one consistent view, and puts AI agents to work finding savings, policy breaches and supplier risk. It is in daily use at Verizon, BT Group, ServiceNow, Nordstrom, M&G, Dolby and the New York Public Library. THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES In most large organisations, purchasing data sits in several places at once: one or more ERPs, a procure-to-pay suite, accounts payable, expense and corporate card platforms, and a contract repository. Each system is accurate on its own terms and none of them agree with each other. The same supplier appears under six spellings. Category coding differs by region and by acquisition. Answering a question as ordinary as "what did we spend with this supplier globally last year" turns into a week of exports and reconciliation, and the answer is stale by the time it arrives. Suplari closes that gap without asking anyone to replace a system or migrate data. THE DATA FOUNDATION Suplari connects to source systems and reads from them on a schedule. Machine learning collapses duplicate and inconsistent vendor records into a single supplier hierarchy, so a parent company and its subsidiaries roll up correctly across regions and legal entities. Every transaction is classified to UNSPSC or to a taxonomy the customer defines, at better than 95 percent accuracy, and reclassified continuously as new data arrives rather than in an annual clean-up. This matters because classification accuracy sets the ceiling on everything above it. A category total that is 85 percent right is not a number anyone will negotiate against. SEEING THE SPEND The result is a single spend view that answers questions in whatever shape they are asked. Slice by supplier, category, cost centre, business unit, region, legal entity or period, combine any of those, and open any summary number to reach the transactions that make it up. That supports the analysis procurement teams actually run: finding the same commodity bought at different prices by different divisions, sizing tail spend and the long list of low-value suppliers behind it, measuring spend under management and off-contract purchasing rates, tracking supplier concentration and dependency, and building a defensible baseline before a sourcing event rather than after it. Dashboards are built for the audience. A category manager sees their categories. A CPO sees the portfolio and procurement's financial contribution. A CFO sees validated savings against the plan. AI AGENTS Suplari includes three. Suplari Worker monitors spend and contract data continuously and raises anomalies between review cycles rather than at quarter end. Suplari Assistant answers procurement questions in ordinary language and returns the underlying records with each answer, so a finding can be checked rather than trusted. Suplari AI Studio lets a team build its own agents and workflows without writing code. Agents can be configured to require human approval at each step, or to act autonomously where a customer has chosen that. FROM OPPORTUNITY TO PROVEN SAVING Identifying a saving is the easy half. Suplari carries each opportunity through a tracked case with a named owner, cross-functional workflow and audit-ready documentation, then reconciles the outcome against the invoices and payments that actually followed. A number reported to finance can be traced back to the transactions underneath it, which is the difference between a savings figure procurement believes and one the CFO signs. Contract intelligence runs alongside this, comparing invoiced amounts against contracted rates and flagging agreements approaching automatic renewal while there is still time to renegotiate. WHAT SUPLARI IS NOT Suplari is an analytical layer, not a transactional system. It does not raise purchase orders, process invoices, run three-way match or execute payments. Those functions stay in the ERP and procure-to-pay platforms built for them. Organisations run Suplari alongside SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Workday or Ariba rather than instead of them. DEPLOYMENT Because Suplari reads from systems already in production, deployment does not require an ERP change request, a data migration or a data warehouse project first. Most customers are working with classified, usable spend data within weeks and see measurable return inside the first 90 days. Setup covers connecting the sources, agreeing the category taxonomy and confirming the supplier hierarchy. No data cleansing project is required beforehand; the cleaning, deduplication and classification happen inside the platform. WHO IT IS FOR Mid-size and large enterprises whose purchasing is split across several systems and business units. The value case depends less on headcount than on fragmentation: a company running one ERP with a clean category structure may be well served by its existing reporting, while one that has absorbed acquisitions or runs different systems by region is where consolidated spend analysis pays for itself fastest. Day to day it is used by procurement analysts replacing manual classification and report building, category managers running spend visibility and supplier consolidation analysis, sourcing leads sizing opportunities before an event, CPOs reporting procurement's financial contribution, and finance teams validating that reported savings reached the P&L. COMPANY Suplari is headquartered in Seattle. Microsoft acquired the company in 2021 and divested it back to its original founders in 2023, retaining a minor equity stake. Suplari operates independently today. The Hackett Group named Suplari a 2026 Top Tech for Spend Analytics, and Suplari has appeared on its "50 to Know" list for five consecutive years.
