"Complete dissappointment"

What do you like best about RSM Consulting?

What do you dislike about RSM Consulting?

The consulting on software selection and feedback on performance and capabilities of accounting software turned out to be useless. Most of what was pitched to use turned out to be incorrect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering RSM Consulting:

Find another firm. The sales rep team and both Sage and NetSuite we were engaging with advised us against using RSM, now I wish we would have taken their advice. RSM is very big and they have several teams doing the same types of work, so it could be the luck of the draw. But at what they charge that should not be the case. What problems is RSM Consulting solving and how is that benefiting you?

Engaged with RSM to consult on the selection process and integration of financial reporting software for a company of 500 plus employees. The consulting team proved during the process to be useless and lacked any depth of knowledge about two of the directions we were evaluating, NetSuite vs Sage. We had a tight deadline so the company selection team had to pivot and do all the due diligence themselves in selecting the direction. This should have been a big enough red flag, but we felt that since RSM took the time to get to know the company already we should move forward with using them to do the implementation. That turned out to be a mess and very very expensive.

Cost of a project is weighed against the results. What RSM charged for the project turned out to be a very very expensive project compared to what they actually accomplished. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RSM Consulting?

RSM has great sales contacts and technicians. I enjoy talking with them and they have my trust. RSM is very knowledgeable in Microsoft products and services. They have dedicated Microsoft engineers designed to help with our Microsoft Azure Intune project. They will work T&M or fixed price, we chose T&M for this engagement. They worked around our scheduling needs without issues. They work fast and completed our project on time. Their engineering staff is approachable, well trained and truely cares about the success of our Microsoft Intune project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RSM Consulting?

They are on the higher side of consulting companies for my budget. They are really good at what they do. I would say they are on the higher side of the managed services side of Microsoft consulting. I continue to use them because of the quality and talent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering RSM Consulting:

I recommend doing smaller projects under a time & material contract. This will save you a little money. Also they are a large consulting company with a vast amount of engineering talent. You don't need to try and provide a solution, just tell them your need and let them be a solution provider. They are very good with Microsoft Azure, Intune and SCCM, they also specialize in cybersecurity and networking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RSM Consulting solving and how is that benefiting you?

RSM assisted us with setting up the College's Microsoft Azure cloud Intune solution. We needed assistance with our ability to offer security and Windows feature policy for remote College Microsoft Windows employees. We contracted with RSM to assist with setup our Microsoft Intune portal security groups, intune security policy, the intergration for on-premise College connections and the conditional access needed for Windows computer inspections. This allows the College to provide automated cybersecurity to our remote work force off campus. RSM was very knowledgable about Microsoft Intune cloud and the RSM engineers was able to setup our envrionment as well as the configution. RSM provided helpful training to help our College IT Department manage Microsoft Azure Intune cloud. We worked long side the RSM engineers, allowing my IT staff to see and learn as consulting work is performed. RSM assigned a project corrdinator as well as a technical lead consultant. Weekly meetings were held to ensure deliverables were met on time and within scope. RSM's work in Microsoft Intune allows myself and my staff to provide secure MFA registration and secure Windows computing through automation of security settings to remote working employees at my College.
