Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Xcode for its seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, which simplifies the development process for iOS and macOS applications. The all-in-one environment, featuring tools like the simulator and debugging capabilities, enhances productivity and streamlines workflows. However, many note that it can be resource-intensive, leading to slow performance on larger projects.

"Xcode is the fastest way to develop apps in our MyNew Technologies lab"
What do you like best about Xcode?

Xcode presents the fastest way to develop code using Swift programming language. We can develop iOS apps in about 10 days using Swift's object oriented coding language. Our environment is MacOS, therefore our expertise in delivering quality apps in Apple's ecosystem is important for us and our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

We didn't find anything to dislike, documentation is comprehensive and descriptive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Required, but getting better."
What do you like best about Xcode?

Xcode is easy to set up and includes amazing tools for developing iOS apps including the storyboard support. You can see your apps screens as you are developing them right in the IDE, and you don't even sacrifice functionality as you can easily access anything you develop in this wysiwyg in your code. It's good enough that I only occasionally need to though! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

Xcode feels less intuitive then other options (such as Jet Brains IntelliJ) for general use. Not all of the quick use keybinds make sense to me and the including iOS emulator while nice, doesn't emulate correctly in many cases and is slower than it should be. What do you dislike about Xcode?

I have been using xCode since 2014 i have seen it evolving. I would recommend not to use beta version if you are using it for the production version of the app you might end us facing bugs.

Few other things that i dislike are they are missing support for swift 2.3 they should have the latest xCode to do swoft conversation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Its very good IDE for iOS Development "
What do you like best about Xcode?

Xcode is very fantastic IDE for iOS development including applications for iPhone, iPad and apple TV. its based on latest swift language which is basically language to make the application. earlier Xcode was giving the option to make the app in objective c language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

Xcode IDE is to provide more language support apart from objective c and swift language. but for now Xcode can be used for just iPhone, iPad and apple TV development. they need to provide more clear IDE guide tour and suggestions to get more familiar with all the short cuts. "Good IDE, but exclusive."
What do you like best about Xcode?

With Xcode we can develop applications for both iOS and Mac OS. It supports different Apple programming languages, such as Objective-C or Swift. It also has a visual environment, where you can directly visualize components, not just code. It also has an emulator to emulate and visualize the current development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

It is exclusive to Apple, and therefore, it cannot be installed on a Windows computer... only on devices with Mac OS, thus significantly limiting its use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
