The biggest pain point is the need for both a prospect’s full name and domain. In many real-world situations, I might only have a name and company, or maybe just a LinkedIn profile—no company website handy. It would be amazing if the platform’s database could fill those gaps or allow more flexible searches.

While the Chrome extension works with LinkedIn, there are some limitations compared to other tools that seem to extract emails from LinkedIn profiles more seamlessly. Sometimes, VoilaNorbert requires extra steps or can’t deliver if the public data is limited.

I've tried a lot of alternatives, and VoilaNorbert is the best and most cost-effective solution I've found to quickly capture correct email addresses for anyone at the customers we're targeting. VoilaNorbert has helped us find many email addresses where we had a domain name and a name but no other information as we are looking for people in certain positions within religious organizations. I was enthusiastic about this tool until I started running my campaigns and encountered issues with core functionality. The most frustrating part is that support seems more focused on making excuses than finding solutions to make their service reliable.

The first issue I faced was that it didn’t detect bounces. Missing bounces is a serious problem because it leads to continued follow-ups to bounced emails, which can severely damage sending reputation, especially at scale.

When I contacted support, they told me it was "not technically possible" to detect a bounce in my case. Their detection relies on the "in-reply-to" header, but my email provider uses a different header for the same information. So it turns out it’s not "technically impossible" - they just need to check one additional header. After several back-and-forth emails, they finally said they’d pass it to their tech team but had other priorities and no ETA. Ok, whatever. Moving on.

But now I faced another one. This time it appeared the software doesn't detect replies from prospects if the prospect's reply landed in my spam folder. This is another major problem, because if you don't constantly monitor your spam folder, you will lose prospects as it will not detect them in lead catcher. And even worse, it will keep sending followups to those who replied.

Support took the same approach here unfortunately: "this is how the softwaer works" and "it's not techinclly possible to detect replies in spam". Well, I get this is how it works, but is it really a techincal limitation? In their wormup tool they claim they will detect replies in spam and move them into inbox to improve deliverability. Which makes sense, after all they get full access to the email the moment it was connected to the platform.

Somehow they can detect it in one part of their system, but it becomes a "techincal limmitation" in the other. That makes no sense.

I understand they have priorities, but these are core functions, and it’s frustrating that the support team isn’t even trying to address them, instead choosing to make excuses. This approach is the opposite of problem-solving.
