In my work, I use X mainly to keep track of what’s happening in the tech and software space. A lot of product teams, developers, and companies post early updates or share fixes there before they release anything officially. It helps me stay aware of new tools, patches, or industry changes that might affect my projects.
I also follow a few founders and engineers from companies I’m interested in, and their posts sometimes give insights that you usually don’t find on websites or press releases. This helps me understand trends faster and also gives me ideas for things I want to experiment with.
Another benefit is communication. When I’m working on something and need a quick opinion, it’s easy to post a question or reply to someone who has worked on a similar problem. It’s not formal support, but it has helped me a few times to get clarity or find a workaround. So overall, X saves me time and keeps me updated without going through long research cycles. The AI features on X mostly help me filter content so I don’t waste time scrolling. The “For You” feed learns the type of posts I engage with mostly tech updates, developers sharing code insights, and security-related threads and pushes similar content to me. I use this daily because it’s quicker than manually searching for updates.
The topic grouping also helps during work hours. If something major is happening in the industry (new release, outage, vulnerability, etc.), the AI systems group the related posts so I can understand the situation faster without jumping between different accounts.
I also notice that the platform suggests accounts that align with my work interests tool creators, engineers, or community contributors so I’ve discovered a lot of useful people to follow through that. It’s not perfect, but it does make it easier for me to stay connected with what matters for my job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
