What customer support options does TriNet PEO provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

TriNet PEO provides 24/7 live-rep support, along with chat and phone support. The experience can be responsive and helpful, particularly for straightforward questions, while complex issues may take longer or involve follow-up and routing between teams.

What is the experience like for teams switching to TriNet PEO from another tool?

Switching to TriNet PEO is often about bringing scattered HR, payroll, and benefits services together, or finding broader benefits, support, or functionality than a previous system provided. The experience is described as smoother when setup and guidance are clear, though the transition can involve a learning curve.
  • Consolidation: Replacing separate tools or providers with a more centralized set of HR services.
  • Broader coverage: Seeking more complete benefits, HR support, or payroll functionality.
  • Cost and fit: Moving for pricing or to better support the organization’s needs as it grows.

What features or capabilities could make TriNet PEO even more useful?

The clearest opportunities to make TriNet PEO more useful are smoother navigation and more consistent workflows across the platform. Teams also want clearer time-off information and a more capable mobile experience.
  • Simplify navigation: Make frequently used tasks easier to find and reduce extra clicks or jumps to separate sites.
  • Improve time and PTO tools: Make balances, accruals, approvals, and team calendars easier to understand and manage.
  • Expand mobile functionality: Bring more of the desktop experience into the mobile app and streamline time entry.
  • Strengthen reporting and customization: Provide more flexible reports and dashboards suited to each team’s needs.

Is TriNet PEO considered safe and secure for handling data?

Account security comes up most often in connection with repeated identity checks at sign-in. Some users appreciate the added verification, while others find having to complete it so frequently inconvenient; that experience alone does not establish how securely other data is handled.

"trinet is simple and thats all we need."
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I like how simple it is to find the things I need to see, such as my pay and my taxes. I also like that I can view my benefits and how much I pay. Overall, TriNet is very simple to use and really useful.

When I use the mobile version, I can easily tap where I want to go and it’s right there. The app feels smooth and runs well without many bugs. I can also easily drag and drop a link, which saves a ton of time when the information tabs are right in front of me. I especially like using the paystub wheel because it shows me how my money is divided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

What I dislike about TriNet is that it sometimes logs me out and doesn’t remember the correct username. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Trinet Dashboard"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I like how the dashboard is setup because when I first log in, it lets me know when my next paycheck is. The left bar with the different links lets me check my retirement benefits quickly and the trinet perks is good when I want to check what kinds of deals there might be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I don't like how when I check to not show me I am going to a third party site, it will not remember that when I log in again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dedicated TriNet Advisors Made Onboarding Feel Supported"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

When you begin using TriNet, you are never alone. You have several dedicated advisors to help you get acclimated and make sure you understand all the features available to you. My dedicated advisors were absolutely wonderful and really helped me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

There is a lot of moving parts to using TriNet and at first it was overwhelming. I felt rushed and wanted to have more time. There were also a lot of things I wasn't aware of at the beginning and am glad I later learned about all that TriNet offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kenyatta Blake of TriNet PEO

"Positive Transition For Our Company"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

For me specifically, I came from using different brokers and systems for benefits, 401k, and payroll. The transition to having everything in one place with TriNet was game changing and we saw a significant cost saving. In addition to that, I have had the same support team from the get-go. I don't know if that is the case for everybody, but I have truly valued not having to transition to various people and being able to build that rapport. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I think there are some features I really wish could be implemented. For example, in our old time off system, you couldn't request time off if you didn't have enough hours (it considered any future hours as well). But with TriNet, if a supervisor isn't monitoring every individual's hours and they approve the request, it allows employees to go into the negative. I also wish the time & attendance system allowed for more features. For example, with Paycom, we could set a parameter where employees could not clock back in from lunch until they met their 30 minutes to ensure compliance. They are small things, but it would really help if those could be enabled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Dyslin of TriNet PEO

We love to hear how game-changing your experience has been! Thanks for sharing how much you value your support team and experience with TriNet. We appreciate your insights and feedback and will be sure to share with our team.

"Easy to Use, Fast Performance, and Great Support"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I like how easy the system is. Overall, it works very well. I don't have any complaints about how to use it. When I do have questions, the AI question feature has been very helpful. It integrates systems that are both complex and useful, making them easier for users to understand and work alongside. Its performance is high speed and well done. I have minimal concerns about its speed. As for pricing, I would argue that it is fair for the system it provides. Overall, the support is great and fast. It is both accurate and precise when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I'm having issues managing the punch-in and punch-out features. It is frustrating that the system allows double punches and doesn't notify users when errors like this happen. I wish this were clearer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Administration and Simplified Self-Service with Enterprise Benefits"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

What I like best about TriNet is that it puts all of our HR, benefits, and payroll administration in one place, which matters a lot for a small team like ours. As the person who handles finance and operations, I don’t have time to manage separate systems for time off, retirement, compliance, and employee records. TriNet handles most of that behind the scenes, so I can stay focused on the rest of my job.

Day to day, the time-off process is simple. Employees submit PTO requests, managers approve them, and everyone gets a clear email confirmation with the dates and hours. Nobody has to chase anything down, and there’s always a record if questions come up later.

Benefits are another big plus. Through a PEO we have access to a 401(k) plan, administered through Empower, that would be much harder to set up and manage on our own at our size. Required plan disclosures and notices come out automatically, so we stay compliant without having to track every deadline ourselves.

Compliance support is also really valuable. TriNet’s labor-law poster service keeps us current on required postings, and having HR expertise available takes a lot of the guesswork out of employment questions for a company without a dedicated HR department.

Overall, TriNet gives us big-company HR infrastructure at small-company scale. It saves time, reduces risk, and lets us offer employees benefits we couldn’t easily provide on our own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

My biggest frustration with TriNet is the volume of email notifications. Between TriNet itself, Empower for the 401(k), and other connected services, I get a steady stream of automated messages, and sometimes the same notification arrives several times within a few minutes. The important ones, like approvals and required disclosures, can get lost among routine updates and marketing emails. Better notification settings, or a single digest, would help a lot. "Efficient Support, Minor Update Delays"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I really like how efficiently TriNet handles problems and provides immediate help. When I had questions about my time off due to surgery, they answered immediately and guided me through the process. Their timely assistance with payroll questions is also something I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

Updating benefit information and PTO can be problematic. For my FSA account, it can take a few days to update after the card is used. Once the pay period is over, PTO does not always update correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Dyslin of TriNet PEO

We might just love our support team as much as you do, Melissa! We're glad to help answer questions quickly and provide the support and guidance you need. We appreciate your feedback and will share with our team.

"Comprehensive HR Solution with Integrated Features"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I like that TriNet PEO is an all-in-one HR solution that prevents me from having to juggle multiple applications. It makes it easier to manage different HR functions, and I appreciate how it integrates well with other applications like JazzHR for recruiting. I also find the organization development services helpful for complex HR tasks like benchmarking and compensation philosophy. Additionally, it was fairly easy to get set up in TriNet, which was a relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

Getting help with a specific issue can be slow due to the need to route through different teams, which is kind of a downside of having so many solutions in one platform. Also, I'd like the ability to organize the homepage to better suit my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Hub for Benefits, Time Off, and Insurance Details"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

It's easy to understand. All aspects of employee benefits are in one place. Good visibility into the time-off calendar with other employees' time off also shown.

I liked being able to check my health insurance providers as well as my time-off & accrual history.

I don't think I've used any integrations.

The site loads and responds plenty fast enough to be satisfactory.

My employer uses trident, so I can't speak to the pricing/ROI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I couldn't find seemingly important information:

- my salary (aside from manually calculating my paycheck)

- how many days of vacation I accrue per year

- when the sick time resets/replentishes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TriNet: A One-Stop Shop for All My HR and Payroll Needs"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I like that I'm able to do a one-stop-shop for all of my HR needs and questions. I'm able to review my pay stub, PTO account, submit for PTO, and modify my taxes and retirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I don't have any items that I don't like about TriNet. It really seems like the developers have checked all of the boxes that an employee might need for HR and payroll concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
