Especially for employees, the learning curve for understanding the system is very short. Employees are able to use this all-in-one solution when they are hired for their offer letter, onboarding, and benefits enrollment, which gives them a great introduction to the system and welcomes them in an organized manner. We use the Payroll and Benefits administration features, too, which is great. Of our 150 employees completing Open Enrollment last year, not one had quesitons on how to login to the system and select their benefits--which as an HR pro, saves me a ton of time! **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** This system is working out some of the quirks on the Administrator side. For example, I can't pull a report showing me how much Paid Vacation someone will accrue by the end of the year (because we accrue it over time), I have to manually pull this data. Additionally, sometimes their reports will freeze up when you add in some filters in the system because it's a relatively new feature. But with that being said, the team does listen when you give feedback and tries to make it work. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zenefits has made our HR administration and reporting a lot easier. We've been able to run reports quickly for basic HR needs and schedule them to allow us to not forget things. We have a lean HR team so any time-saving efforts are huge! ### 4. It is also nice to have the number of hours I've worked laid out. Also, the ability to view the Payroll schedule comes in handy when considering days off and overtime. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** Clocking in takes forever. You must submit a picture of yourself everytime you clock in which is nice for accountability but can sometimes be detrimental to employees mental health and take away from productivity hours as it can take up to 2 or 3 minutes to log your clock in. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** Be prepared for slow clock ins but other than that solid HR platform. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time off requests, scheduling preferences, Human Resource documentation, payday scheduling and hour tracking. The implementation of Zenefits has created a one stop shop for all things HR related and has eliminated the need to disrupt others with questions as I am able to log on from my home.The company sponsored Life Insurance is also a great perk that caters to reduced turnover. ### 5. It requests information like sex/gender which I am unclear as to why that would be necessary for our HR department to have full access to. The app is amazing and so easy to use. We have a company size of about 55-60 employees and 90% of them are now using the app or website to do things they used to have to come see me and file paperwork. Employees can update addresses, bank accounts, beneficiaries, make changes to their insurance, request time off, and best of all print their check-stubs. The other amazing service Zenefits offers is ClubZen. This website is a great place to interact with other Zenefits customers as well as Zenefits employees. It is a safe place to ask questions and bounce ideas off other HR professionals. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** So far the only issue I have had with Zenefits is the way their payroll reports are setup. However they are continually updating and asking for customer input. They have already improved some of the reports that where available when we first started using them a year ago. I am sure with time, the reports will improve and evolve. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** If you are looking for a one stop shop, an easier way to maintain your payroll. This is it, you have found it. There are many aspects to payroll, from time recording, to insurance elections, to direct deposit, to PTO, you name it and Zenefits has it covered. One of the amazing things about Zenefits is, you pay for what you use. Zenefits has a ton of options or apps on their platform, and they cater your dashboard to you needs. That being said, you are not locked out of exploring new options in between renewal dates. They have an amazing support system and an extensive library of videos to help with any topic. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zenefits has helped consolidate our HR systems. We used to have a website to submit payroll and employee's could print their pay-stubs. We had another website for insurance renewals. We had paper forms for everything, from changing your direct deposit to updating your address. Now, with Zenefits, employees can do all that from one website, or even from their phone. It has helped reduce the amount of paper I have had to touch, and the redundancy of updating all of the previous systems. ### 16. It was great when I had one contact who could give me personalized and immediate help. It's improving now, with more options for help like chat and a support line. Taking a candidate from sourcing them to on-boarding them is fully automated through Greenhouse which is a major time savings. The Time and Attendance app doesn't allow us to customize for our different state break restrictions and we have to pull out break violations manually when employees waive breaks for shifts under 6 hours. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Customization for PTO so we can offer the right benefits to the right people has been very helpful. I can also say that it has a customer service team that respond as quickly as possible and safely. Each function that this program has been amazing, it even allows me to be able to simplify all the programs I used before in just one. I love the performance management tool and how they are improving this system with that function, there are so many things that I would like to say about each function that this system has that would not end, however, something that remains to be highlighted is that it has a board and a very simple interface to use. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** I can say that this system is surprising, once you load all the information, you will realize how it will take care of the entire management almost automatically. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** Definitely every company should have this system, if it is a little expensive but its price is worth it. The app completely falls short in self serve and they make it extremely hard to get support. Once you do, there's inevitable follow up required, and they just dont do it. it happened throughout the contract and ultimately cost more than the contract. They ignored repeated customer requests to add/integrate services. We were locked out of our account for 2 weeks at sign up. REPEATED in app and CS emails were dropped. The only time they proactively got back to us was to renew the contract. Change requests were rejected or ignored. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Was hoping to save time, but the administration of the zenefits account is just as much work as doing it manually and the IRS had better customer service. You can get reports for anything. **What do you dislike about HR Plus?** Have had a couple of technical issues, and website directions can be misleading or just too vague for people unfamiliar with the system or with running payroll. I'm with a tiny nonprofit organization, and was hired as sort of the part-time "all in one" admin person, with payroll being one of the responsibilities. I have no prior experience with payroll. It's basically straighforward, but when you have a unique situation, I have found the infomation/instructions on the website to be vague and often misleading. Example: "a paper check will be issued" should probably say "employer will issue a paper check to employee" - the way they word it definitely leaves open the understanding that Zenefits is sending the check. (Perhaps they should contract with a technical writer for this - couldn't hurt.) I had a similar issue with Contractors module. Needed to issue a Form 1099 for someone. When you check the "yes" box to have Zenefits issue it, they ask you "How much to you want to put on on the 1099"? or something very similar. Being new to this, I put in the amount of money the contractor had been paid based on Zenefits' payment history. Contractor got a 1099 for double the wages she actually earned. Turns out what they MEANT was, "Zenefits shows total payments of $$$. Do you wish to add additional payments to the 1099"? Luckily, I had some IRS form and I could issue the corrected 1099 because Zenefits could not. Had I not had the forms their only suggestion was to pay a CPA to issue the correction. They should just be more precise in their language. The Time and Attendance thing seems a little buggy - recently I had to add hours to some employee's timecards after the deadline, and hours I added to one employee's card ended up also in another employee's card (employee 2) - and the hours that employee 2 had added to their card had disappeared. I did not see that because I had not edited employee 2's card. Result was employee 2 was overpaid. Did not get a response as to how to fix this before the next pay run, which is annoying. I also log my hours on a spreadsheet as I work, then transfer them to Time and Attendance. I can never get my hours/minutes/totals to work properly in T&A. I have to tweak the decimals in T&A to make the total hours match what I show in Google Sheets. **Recommendations to others considering HR Plus:** Watch for bugginess and before you do something new, make sure you either watch the tutorial or ask Support to be sure you are doing it right. The website directions make it seem that you understand what you are about to do, but the wording is poor and it's easy to make a mistake. **What problems is HR Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** The payroll account was in place when I started, so no idea what problems might be solved. I added Timd and Attendance because it was too time-consuming to do manual timecards and ensure compliance with the overtime laws, etc. It is faster but as I mentioned above, it's buggy. ### 48.
