We use it throughout our whole hospital. From boarding to hospitalization. Each deparment has their own section and we are able to have multiple admins. It is a great tool for our ne hires. We give them a trainual log in for them to learn our policies and protocols during their orientation and always have as a reference. Plently of times a team member is needed to run a lab that they are not use to, and they are able to pull up trainual to see how to run that test. And theres an app!! **What do you dislike about Trainual?** Honestly, from my point of view, I have no issues with trainual at all. Can not speak for everyoe within the hospital, but personally I love it. **What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps cut down on paper. Since we are able to have an automatic manual for all hospital policies and protocol. Its handy anywhere within the practice since there is an app and you can log in through your phone. It helps it never get misplaced either. They are not giving us the ability to continue using and organizing our information in the way that we already have it set up. So basically we have to change our whole setup to make it work going forward. We're looking for alternatives instead. The mothly fees are way too expensive to be this limited in the use of the software and who knows when they'll make another arbitrary change that makes our account useless. **What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?** It doesn't benefit us now and we're looking for a different software to change to. It was great for organizing our processes and general information into an easy to use reference for my employees. We’re super thrilled about the “great” part but obviously not about the “until it wasn’t” part. First off, you’re right about the lack of timely communication leading up to the recent releases. That was a definite miss on our part. The good news is we’ve already made major adjustments to our communication process. Going forward, there will be advance notice long before any major program update along with guidance on how to prepare for it. You may have already noticed this in action as we help you prepare for the upcoming migration of Collections to Groups. Speaking of which, you mentioned that you felt you no longer have the ability to organize your information the way you’ve had it in the past and that you feel you have to change your whole setup to make it work. The main organizational change we’re making is removing the Collections feature simply because is largely inflexible and limiting in what you can do with it. Here’s a quick video (link below) that explains why. Instead, we’ll utilize the new Groups feature in place of collections. The good news is these do exactly the same thing your collections did (grouping content), but the offer other abilities that collections didn’t have. The video above covers these abilities as well. All that said, it’s clear you’ve taken meaningful time to organize your content in a way that made sense for you and your company, and these changes have caused a disruption to that organization. This has really been great at showing me where the holes are in my current training and processes. Their customer service is great. I had one girl help me for two weeks at first and she took a bunch of my word doc content and added it to Trainual, showing me how to break it up into Subjects and Topics. It was a huge jump start. And now I have a dedicated customer service rep who is always quick to answer if I have a question. **What do you dislike about Trainual?** I honestly haven't found anything yet which I have found to be a problem. I am sure I might stumble across a limitation or two eventually, but not yet. **What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?** My processes are all over the place or just don't exist in writing at all. I don't have consistent training and none that is really available to return to when a refresher is needed. Trainual is helping me get organized, create missing content and organize training and make it available to the right people. It is simple to read and to the point while the editing features are auto saved. This is beneficial for scenarios when saving information is interupted by technical issues or if something if forgotten to be saved the info will never be lost or unsaved. **What do you dislike about Trainual?** One thing I do find unhelpful is hows assigned articles/titles are listed. It can come off a bit disorganized. Maybe using a catagory method would make the dashboard alot oraganized. **What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trainual is solving our resources distribution. It's intuitive to use, extremely well organized, and their support staff is unmatched. Tons of features you can use and it's already helped my team immensely with no confusion! **What do you dislike about Trainual?** The only downside of using Trainual is that the quizzes/tests are a little limited. It would be nice to have question types like matching, but that's just nitpicking at this point :) **What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trainual is solving the issue of "how do we teach someone to do what this small team has done for nearly a decade? They care and it shows in how they carry themselves. As far as the software, robust yet simple. There are so many software tools out there that can be used for employee training and onboarding but they often do a lot of other things besides just that making them clunky or difficult to use. Trainual has a very narrow focus and their goal is to make knowledge transfer a simple and seemless process across companies of all sizes and industries. :) **What do you dislike about Trainual?** As this moment the mobile app (Android) could use an update. Great SOP/Orientation software that every company needs **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024 **What do you like best about Trainual?** I loved how easy it was to organize all of our policies and procedures as well as assign specific tasks and units to employees. It made onboarding much easier than with previous software we used or the one that was built into Rippling. We had all of our SOP's, policies such as sexual harassment, PTO etc in it so everyone on Day 1 could come in and be onboarded with all of our policies and procedures right away. Our employees loved it and people seemed to like how easy it was to use and search things with. Everything was neatly organized when we started. Creating courses was simple and the LMS was easy to use once you get the hang of it. I was the main person creating courses and it was much much easier than what we tried to do with TalentLMS or other LMS software. Not to mention it was integrated with way more features and wasn't just an LMS with a terrible UI (again, TalentLMS I'm looking at you). **What do you dislike about Trainual?** Integrations don't work very well. Maybe it was on Rippling's end, but the Rippling integration was a complete dud. Also the org chart and stuff wasn't great. I wish there was a flow chart option for Procedures instead of everything being mainly text-based. We have a lot of detailed procedures we wanted to easily present to new employees but without a true flow chart option it was all text-based. It requires a lot of collaboration to make the roles work as the roles were very meh. We also didn't like how convoluted the role based system was with who could edit what, what teams/roles were assigned to what tasks and learning materials, etc. They need to majorly clean up the role system. **What problems is Trainual solving and how is that benefiting you?** Onboarding and Implementation. **Official Response from Mallory Glessner:** > Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review of Trainual!
