What problems is Tovuti LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is 80+ years old. We are the inventor of many of our early industry products. While there have been various training segments either done in-house or contracted outside for specific topical material, we never ventured into the training waters until about 2013. That monthly training has been running ever since (sans the period during which Covid shut down our state). However, we never moved into other areas of training activities. That changed late last fall when we ran a training event for our dealer sales network. Unfortunately, it was evident from the outset that this training was more or less disastrous. At that point, our corporate leadership decided we needed to step forward and start serious training for most all areas of our business to differentiate ourselves from all competitors in the industry, picking up a torch put down by many manufacturing companies in the 70s, 80s and beyond.
I had been doing the training since 2013, so it naturally fell on my shoulders to bring this department about to handle all business segments that could only improve through better training. I quickly realized that our training programs needed to be easy to use, flexible for our internal needs, and 'mobile.' This latter need would make it easier to use if the training needed to be brought away from our training facility at the office. I began searching for an LMS mechanism. I did not know how they worked, so I didn't know what I didn't know. However, it became apparent early on that Tovuti would separate themselves from the pack. I don't want to discount anything from the other LMS systems because they all had their benefits. Tovuti just seemed to be a natural fit for us.
Ease of use, as mentioned before, was vital in the selection, and we were not disappointed. Flexibility was also a critical factor in the selection. The first training session was going to test whether Tovuti would be the long-term solution for our training needs. I was sure it was, as we had done our homework, but until it was executed and operational, it remained to be seen if this was true. I did not need to be concerned. Tovuti exceeded all expectations. What is exciting is that we are expanding what we are training, what groups of people are training and how we can utilize Tovuti in that equation.
