Up until recently, I wasn't able to "like" Instagram posts through Sprout and would have to do so natively. However, I believe this has changed. I use Sprout Social to manage all the social platforms for the city I work for. One area that could be improved is support for platform-specific publishing features. Certain options available within Facebook or Instagram, such as tagging tools or formatting options, are limited or unavailable in Sprout Social. Image size and aspect ratio requirements can also make publishing more complicated than expected. I use Sprout Social to schedule my posts and keep all my thoughts and post ideas in one place, where I can save them and go back to review them. I can jot down things I like for inspiration and put them on a day when I might use the same or a similar post idea for my client, instead of writing everything on a notepad or keeping it somewhere else. I also like the full monthly calendar view because it helps me see what I’m posting throughout the month once everything is scheduled. I enjoy being able to toggle between platforms, since that makes it less confusing to know where I’m posting. After I played around with the platform a little more, it became a lot more helpful. Sprout Social is often glitchy, and sometimes a post I add doesn’t show up on my phone or laptop, so I have to remake it. I wish there were a better way to send content to my clients for review, since I currently have to email them and they don’t know when content is ready. I find Sprout Social intuitive and instinctive to use, and I don’t need any training. It feels similar to other platforms of the same type. I like the flexibility for managing our community across our brand and my manager’s official channels, while keeping her brand voice consistent. I can publish content and see engagement rates across our social posts over time, which gives me a view of what’s happening across channels without checking each one separately. I also value being able to consolidate our pages and account for each channel’s engagement rules, so I don’t have to guess and can make sure we follow the platforms’ guidelines. Setup was very easy, and we were able to connect our pages quickly. Connecting professional LinkedIn pages helped boost impressions and sessions across our website because my manager can share thought leadership content there. I think Sprout Social is still the best community management tool among the choices available, and it works for small to medium businesses as well as enterprises, especially when managing a lot of pages. I think Sprout Social is a really good desktop application, but I don’t find the mobile feature as useful for our B2B business. I’d like the mobile features to be more usable for B2B so we can use them when we’re offsite or away from home. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Sprout Social for a while now, and I can honestly say it's been a game-changer for managing my social media presence. One of my favourite features is the comprehensive reporting dashboard, it's perfect for gaining insights into how my posts are performing and adjusting my strategy accordingly. As a social planner, the interface is super user friendly. I was quickly onboarded in my current role and was never presented with proper "sprout training" but my experience using other similar tools was more than enough to understand the platform. I don't like that I can't location tag with the accuracy that I want. For example some locations that show up on Meta do not show up on Sprout.
