&lt;p&gt;I’d validate geolocation against the mistakes that would actually hurt the product, not just an overall accuracy percentage. A city-level miss might be harmless for content localization and disastrous for fraud rules. IPinfo’s responsiveness to corrections is interesting because production accuracy is partly about how quickly bad data gets fixed once you find it.&lt;/p&gt;
