Skytouch does have some quirks - need to pay special attention when charging or crediting credit cards, can be complicated if you are not sure what you are doing

This operations system is very easy to use and very self-explanatory.  I love how you can make mistakes with this system and make correcting the issue very easy.

There is nothing I can think of, and everything works well. Very easy to use and very understanding of the operating system.  I would suggest upgrading the group section when entering multiple blocks in one.

Skytouch is heading the right direction, and it has definitely improved with all its updates.

Skytouch is user friendly; which is great as a user but also beneficial when training new hires.

I've spoken to Skytouch support concerning the hotel platform not supporting booking links. This change would greatly benefit our guests and lessen the calls our front desk receives to book blocked rooms.

Easy for new employees to learn and Skytoouch is accessible from anywhere. The rates center has a lot of nice features as well.

Too many issues with the login process not functioning correctly resulting in having to reset passwords. Also, Skytouch is still unable to have new online group bookings go directly into a group block. I would like to be able to remove certain buttons such as the blue check in button on the arrivals screen and the optimize room assignment button on blocking/tape chart screen.

Skytouch solves our need for an efficient property management system that is easy for new employees to pick up with a couple weeks of training.

Training with staff is a breeze; you can always find what you are looking for even if you don't know where to look. And you can't mess things up; the system is very foolproof.

It is basic, so it does not have all the bells and whistles one might be used to with other property management systems, but that is the beauty of it as entry-level staff uses it, so keeping it simple is the best.

Our essential reservation, check-in, checkout, billing, and room inventory needs. The system keeps it simple so we are more effective and efficient. This also helps with productivity.

What I dislike is that when there is a meeting room reserved, it does not show up in that day's arrivals if there was a way that we could see the meeting room rentals pop up for that day, that would be great.

SkyTouch works well with our revenue management team, allowing them to utilize the tools best. Day-to-day operations are elementary and straightforward. Therefore training new staff is a breeze.

When we first started using  SkyTouch, there were a few problems, but have since been resolved.

There were issues integrating revenue management with SkyTouch, but this has been resolved. Compared to the PMS we left, we are much more productive and can focus on other essential tasks.

I Like the analytics part on the Main page. I can go quickly, and I can check how many are available and how many or occupied. I can quickly go and check the today's rate of the room easily

The departures column was a little bit on the opposing side. When I want to check out the guests, I want to search the colum for the checkout. But on this website, it says Departures. I think my suggestion is to change the departures column to check out the column

When I wanted to do a walk-in, the guest had already paid for the night, and he wanted to extend the stay for one more night. In this case, I will change only the dates. When i change the dates, sky touch is automatically holding the money from the customer's account

Not only is skytouch easy to navigate, but their customer service is top notch.  Whenever we have an issue that we can not resolve ourselves, we call, and get thoughtful assistance every time. Their Customer Service representatives value our time, but also make sure that they address the issues we have throughly.

Sometimes it can be difficult to locate which report I need to run.  It would be nice if there was a way to save a list of reports, or even a reminder to run each report daily, weekly, or monthly.

The rate management, rate matrix, and rate buckets.  The different presets- once we get to a certain occupancy, the rate bucket automatically changes if we have it preset.  In case something fills up fast, or forget to check, this helps to ensure we can maximize our ADR.

I like to be able to move between information smoothly such as going from reservation to in-house list with just a click. Reports give you insight into the current, period to date, and the same time last year at a glance making your job much easier than when it all was manually. best of all makes for fewer mistakes.

still looking for what I don't like I have not found anything at the moment that I do not like it user friendly and easy to use its easy to understand when training someone on how to use it

The day moves much quicker with sky touch doing most of the work some areas will stop you from doing wrong such as double-booking a room it will tell you it is occupied or that a room is still listed as dirty which has saved on customer complaints.

The system is user-friendly, it is easy to learn how to use the platform which makes the job easier.

I dislike that the system will sometime think that the hotel is overbooked when it is not. This often happens when you cancel a room the day of, when someone checks out early or when you switch room types. This makes things more complicated as we cannot always override. Also sometimes I feel like the reports are not all straight forward.

I do not have any particular recommendations. I guess just to play around the system.

I have not seen anything get better in the past few months. It just seems like the same interface. However, I don't have much to complain about. Generally, the interface works well and it is user-friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

How easy the system is to navigate. What is most helpful is if you encounter an issue or get lost the system will help and redirect you to the correct area to complete tasks.

At times refunds are difficult to complete. When making an adjustment or checking out a guest your folio must be at zero in order to check the guest out even if the guest is checking out early/

make sure to enroll yourself for education if using this system it benefits those who aren't trained properly.

SkyTouch technology is and has been inncident free while I work and during other shifts. If anything issues arise I simply use the on call services to remedy the issues.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

Somewhat simple at times but still a lot of room for improvement.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

With the PMS, we should consider rephrasing the verbiage set up in the system for example,
Post Payment (Cash), is understandable, however; alter the refund option to make it clearer. Post Charge (Guest Refund) this is what it is labeled as, 
•	Consider moving the option from Post charge to Post adjustment since we are removing or correcting. 
•	 and rephrase the word “guest refund” to “cash refund”. The front desk will better understand this and make fewer mistakes.

Tax adjustment
Under the “guest info” tab, we find the tax profile, first consider placing this option outside. Less clicks less navigating, so that it is easier to find. 
Secondly, The option not to adj ALL the taxes on ALL folios. For example, Expedia prepaid tax-exempt reservations, whether or not the reservation tax profile is clicked for all, all folios created, added on, will be affected by the tax profile. Though the third-party CC may be tax-exempt, the guest credit card covering the hotel facility/destination/hotel fees are not tax-exempt. The tax profile removes all the taxes and affects all the folio tabs added, this consumes time in adding some taxes back on.

Duplicate
When duplicating a reservation consider shortening the 1 day (for no shows). When we dup a resv it copies exactly the amount of days.

Reinstate after night audit
So no show reservations arrive after the night audit is ran at End Of Day, most guest arrive after this process for whatever reason, It would simplify things if the system had the option to reinstate (subtracting 1 day of course, the day missed) and copy/duplicate the remaining nights, this includes rate code, MOP, all information. Maybe include a reason for reinstating so MOD can track.

Reports
Create the option to create a “custom report” similar to Opera PMS. 
All reports on the PMS are already made, It is easier for Managers to populate all the data needed a custom report.

Special Request codes: possibility to include a check box for VIP status, a note box for DND services, late check outs.
Can we create a report option that allows the hotel to generate a report showing the amount of money a certain guest has paid so far?

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT team hardly understands the issues when we call, would be nice to explain the issue by IT logging in to the PC first. Understand that all issues though mostly similar, everyone will explain it differently, therefore, confusing the IT personnel. Additionally, IT should have more access to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support levels, when the property needs immediate attention, escalating the issue to Tier 2 / 3 can delay this.

the university course is very informitive, as long as you complete it you should have no problems using the system.  The tech support team if awesome and very knowledgable.

The thing I dislike the most is that there is no searchable database for past work orders.  As the chief engineer, it would be very helpful to me to be able to see what I have done on rooms in the past.

Definitely complete the Skytouch university.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

It's very easy to use, and most new associates catch on very quickly, I like the online training option.  I appreciate the 7-day payment posting feature since we have long-term stays.  It is easy to set up new properties, especially with the help of many of the professionals on the SkyTouch Implementation team.  Especially now that a major portion is done online and not using the old excel worksheet.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

There are several areas in the online training that aren't covered, like direct billing, etc.  This system is not designed for extended stay hotels but is very effective for select-service properties.  Rate & Revenue management is very simplistic to use but many glitches can cause issues like double restrictions that can close out the property without realizing it.  Multiple rate plans need to be added when you have a tiered rate structure.

**Recommendations to others considering SkyTouch Technology:**

The ability to bring on associates and get them trained on the system saved us on labor compared to other systems.  The SkyTouch University was extremely helpful with training on the basics.  The team provides tremendous support during pre-openings.  Hopefully, they will be back soon with in-person training for new openings.  The implementation team is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.  You always feel you have support, or someone will find out the answer for you.  That's a great feeling for a hotel operator.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The 7-day payment post was a big one.  It allowed us to overcome the human factor and keep our guests up-to-date with their billing.  We've also benefited from our long-term relationship with SkyTouch to quickly onboard new properties.  But most importantly, when we had major credit card issues the team at SkyTouch took action and included technicians and other 3rd party companies to help solve this issue. **What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

The software is easy to use when it works.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

When there is an issue with the software most of the time you are given a workaround instead of resolving the issue. Issues draw out for long periods of time and are not fixed. If it is a credit card issue it is blamed on the other companies instead of resolving it. When issues are resolved a notice is not emailed out. Maybe that is because the issues are usually not resolved, but extra steps are added to our process to make them work. Group Blocks some reservations won't let you assign room numbers or change the room type for the stay. Instead of making a fix for this issue, they tell you to remove the reservation from the block, then make your change to the reservation and then add it back into the block again. We are a busy hotel we don't have time for all these added steps. When an issue occurs find the reason and create an update to fix it. Then update the clients that have this issue that it was resolved.

Hold time is unacceptable. When we call to receive help we have exhausted all solutions on our end, and there is usually a guest waiting for a result standing at the desk. 20 minutes of hold time or more is a regular occurrence. We have been promised that this would be resolved at many of the conferences and still no results.

I don't feel problems are being resolved. User errors are resolved when we call to ask what is wrong. Having someone answer the phone when you call is great when it happens.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

I like the overall aesthetic of SkyTouch, such as the visuals upon logging in (showing vacancy, check-ins, occupancy, check-outs for the day, etc). It helps get a general overview upon beginning one's shift. I also enjoy the ease of moving between the Sky Touch platform and Booking.com, Flight delays, etc (other external sites). I found it to be organized well and generally clear. I also like that the bookings from third party websites are sent over directly and populate the SkyTouch system on their own. (Although there were a few instances where they did not go through in time, and the guest showed up before the reservation got a chance to send through to the SkyTouch system. 

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

I did not like the lingo used, such as "guest folio", etc. Certain things were not clear when I first started using the program. It is easy to understand once you know what these things mean, but it felt like they could have come up with some more accessible terms for people who did not take a course in the program. I also to this day find the rate management aspects extremely difficult to understand. Luckily I am not a general manager so I do not have to deal with this anyhow, but it seems way too complicated for what it is. Additionally, the method of charging guests seems a bit counter-intuitive. Instead of it being a straight forward page, you have to add a guest "folio", add the method payment, and then explain what the method of payment is for. It could definitely be more user friendly in this aspect. 

**Recommendations to others considering SkyTouch Technology:**

Be sure to learn as much as possible before trying to use the program. It is not the kind of program you can just walk in and understand from day 1 . You legitimately have to get all of the training to understand the specifics of this program in the type of detail needed to properly implement the usages.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SkyTouch Hotel made it easy to make edits and amendments to reservations,  which is good considering the industry. It is important to be able to make changes to a reservation such as changing payment methods, adding guest notes, charging for incidentals, etc. Whenever I thought it would be impossible to go back and make a change, I realized that there was a pathway to changing it using the SkyTouch Hotel OS system, which I appreciate very much.

The simplicity and online login capabilities are fantastic. Being able to log in at home to help the front desk with a challenge is great. Also when someone emails you for a reservation in your off hours you can log in and create the reservation quickly.

Sometimes it is limited to what you can do. For instance, I needed to do a yearly audit on a charge code and you have to print the report monthly on each code you want to audit. You cannot generate the report for a year at a time for charge codes. I even called support to ensure there was no easier way.

The technical support is always great. We have a red assigned directly to us. The tape chart is easy to use since there aren't a lot of features. Stewart Black has been amazing.

Skytouch Technology Support is the best I have experienced with any of the vendors that I have dealt with in 20 years.  I used to run Opera before and the support did not hold a candle up to Skytouch's support.  The agents are always eager the assist and if there are any recommendations, they make a note of them or we can go to their community center and submit any changes that are requested by a hotelier.

The reports could be more robust as the big PMS provider, however, the support and the ease of use make up for it.

While I don't actually need customer support much anymore, Skytouch has the best support team I've ever called. I was helping at a Comfort Inn once and got sick of dealing with Choice Support and called Skytouch and explained that I hated Choice and would love help if they had time. They understood and helped me through my problem since Choice and Skytouch are essentially the same things.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

I train a lot of people on this system. Not being able to use the "back" button on the browser messes with many people. Otherwise, it's very user-friendly.

Skytouch is one of the easiest operating systems I have ever used. The support is quick and easy for any issues you do have. Of the five systems I have used, this is my favorite. I highly recommend it for small and large hotels.

Skytouch is great for small properties such as ours. The problem I had with larger corporations was that they lost sight of you, communication fell through, and there is no support. Any issue I have had, which has been very minimal, they have assisted immediately. I love how user-friendly the system is, all the information is easy to find, simplistic and training does not take long at all.

I havent had any issues to give a disklike. I would say I wish I had heard of them sooner.

Versatility, reporting, and ease of use for entry-level staff all in one stop!

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

Updates to the features lag a bit. For example, integration with eStar reports doesn't exist.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rate management is incredible. With my Rev management, I need its versatility.
