I was led to believe our subscription had been cancelled, only to find out I was still being charged for over a year. I contacted customer service and explained we had not been using the service, gave them several opportunities to either provide a refund or come to some sort of compromise, only to be referred to the thousands of lines of T&C's, as most big companies do. Customer service is also very prompt and helpful. **What do you dislike about ShopWired?** There is some basic functionality that is missing like a plug in to Facebook Shops, Instagram Shopping and Pinterest, but to be candid, these channels are more trouble than they are worth to be selling through! **What problems is ShopWired solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a platform that did not cost us north of $1,000 a month as Shopify was and that has a range of intuitive functionality built in, such as customers being able to create accounts to track their orders, save items to a wish list, and to be able to use a payment gateway other than that mandated by our old provider (Shopify) unless we wanted to incur a fee per order. ### 8. Loads of drag and drop functionality, as well as changing the overall look and appeal of the site. **What do you dislike about ShopWired?** I have to be honest, there is nothing yet that I have come across that I don't like. Some ways of finding what I want can feel a little hidden and 'long' but overall, I'm really happy with ShopWired. **Recommendations to others considering ShopWired:** If you want an eCommerce platform that will grow with you, I recommend ShopWired. If I had to be exceptionally picky then it would be nice to have a mobile app to accompany the system so I could update items on the fly but that is so far down my priority list that it's not really an issue. **What problems is ShopWired solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had a couple of problems setting up the account because I had so many products to add and integrating them with other platforms such as Ebay took some time to set up but the customer service team helped me with that the same day. Then this year we discovered ShopWired and could not be more pleased. The platform is incredibly easy to use, the support is fanatical. Honestly, they could not be more helpful. Everything we asked for, they achieved! There are so many features, plus of course, the monthly charge is very reasonable. The question was, "what do we like best"....the answer is "Everything". this is not an exaggeration, I don't normally bother with reviews, but I think this company deserves one. **What do you dislike about ShopWired?** Tricky one, trying hard to think of something! Sorry, nothing bad to say here. **What problems is ShopWired solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using ShopWired has allowed us to manage our whole website without having to pay a separate IT guy. Our websites used to be on our own server with Rackspace, but this had to be managed by an expert, as we have no experience with servers. ShopWired has eliminated this, if we want to change a banner, we do it ourselves, if we require more SEO we upload ourselves, you get my drift, it is plain sailing all the way. ### 15. I think the platform is competitively priced and offers decent value for money, particularly when seen in the context of ongoing customer support. I don't lose a portion of sales to platform fees, which is great. I've used several other platforms and Shopwired is by far the best in the UK in my opinion, I regularly recommend it to others. **What do you dislike about ShopWired?** There are some features I would like to see added which I have suggested, some of them are planned. Particularly I would like to see the ecommerce features of mailchimp fully integrated, and the use of postage rate tables allowed. The bulk editing tools (non-CSV) could be improved to help nontechnical users like myself. **Recommendations to others considering ShopWired:** If you can, learn to work with CSV files, it makes life easier. **What problems is ShopWired solving and how is that benefiting you?** The platform allows me to have a responsive and well-designed website without having to learn to code or pay someone else to code. We have gone from a £350 initial investment in May 2021 to now turning over around 1k per week, and I don't think the growth we have experienced so far would have been possible without Shopwired's solid order management system. ### 16. The depth of features is amazing and the design themes are very attractive and modern. The support you receive from Shopwired is fantastic, if I struggle with an element due to my lack of knowledge they are on hand to either guide me through the process if you want to learn or take over and implement my requirements. **What do you dislike about ShopWired?** I really can't state a negative comment. I actually left shopwired briefly as a local web firm promised me the most amazing website interactive website for my business, stating it would save my company so much money and generate much more revenue. This was the biggest mistake that I have ever made and it cost me dearly. We ended up moving back to Shopwired and they went above and beyond to get our site back up and running. Whenever I have a question about the website or its further development I never get the firm 'NO' response that I have found with other platforms over the years. I just start a Live Chat from within my Account and there's always someone there to sort out any issue on the spot or it is quickly escalated to the whole team who have a vast amount of experience between them. So far I haven't hit an obstacle that we couldn't clear. It feels more like a collaboration rather than a subscription if that makes sense? I especially like that you can choose from a selection of pre-designed themes that can easily be adapted to your specific business type. What first attracted me to ShopWired is that I had a business idea but couldn't afford the potentially high costs of a dedicated Web Developer to code a unique website for my business idea. So using pre-designed themes that I could later develop a unique website from was a must. That process also saved a lot of time for me to focus on building good Supplier relationships. So far I haven't felt like my business has had to adapt to a rigid, limiting platform. This platform is adaptive and doesn't feel restrictive and therefore has spared me the headaches of the past. I feel free to grow my business how I see fit and focus on that rather than get distracted and bogged down with the nonconforming platforms of the past. In previous years I've found out that Developers tend to want to manage 'My Expectations', this has always led to an uncompromising disappointment. So far I'm pleased to say that ShopWired is the complete opposite. I've been selling online for over a decade and this has been the most pain-free experience by far. The last thing to add is that Google Search DOES rank my ShopWired theme website and realistically it's now down to me to market it in a way to increase traffic as I build my brand. Therefore it's heartening to know I can concentrate fully on the marketing of the website in the knowledge that there is a dedicated team to help me with the website should I need it. Highly Recommend. **What do you dislike about ShopWired?** I'm struggling to find something I've run into that has caused any problems so far. However just a bit of advice to you: You may look at other platforms and their price points but consider that for a few extra pounds per month you get a UK-based responsive customer service that I certainly think is worth that nominal fee. Ask yourself how many times you've had to raise a support ticket for someone who is on the other side of the world that gets back to you a few days later? My Company is based in the UK so it's been essential to me that I have the support that operates in the same time zone as me. That said, ShopWired runs a Live Chat until 10 pm GMT Mon-Fri so even if you're in another country there's still that window of opportunity to catch someone in Support. **Recommendations to others considering ShopWired:** Please read my comments above (I answer this question in my main review above). **What problems is ShopWired solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem with any new business is that funds are strictly limited. ShopWired with its platform has provided a gateway to online sales where I can scale and grow my business on my terms without the fear of owing money to developers or raising money for developers to start work in the first place. The main issue with any new website venture is getting it in front of the right clientele. Therefore most of my time is spent thinking of (and implementing) creative ways to achieve this. If you are bogged down with a restrictive website it's difficult to stay motivated whilst fulfilling the marketing side of the business. ShopWired is secure and fast and I haven't felt any slowdown in service or any sense of "managing my expectations" so far. ### 18. They added extra fields, extra options, to make it a more easier experience for my customers. I'm still finding more cool features along the way. Great system, highly recommend.
