What do you like best?

My organization has been using Selligent's Marketing Cloud services for many years now. We rely on Message Studio to deploy most of our batch and transaction email campaigns. The customer service is great. All users have access to knowledgeable and responsive support through email or phone.

What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

Selligent is a well maintained multichannel tool that provides ideal services for managing marketing campaigns. It tracks online performance, display review sites, provide customizable features, social channels, consulting partnerships and segmentation. Reporting keeps a track of marketing performance, customer, purchase, sales and products by the company which allows ease of approaching the data in a single view. Reporting is very easy to navigate and detailed. Segmentation is also a quality feature. It has great A/B features for email marketing and supports bulk emails efficiently. Message Studio provides very extensive marketing solutions. API platform is a great feature which helps to connect different sevices and other partners. It offers a great platform to connect with customers. Automation really reduces the workload and strengthen the productivity of the company. The customer service is also very quick and responsive. It provides easy scheduling and reusable templates. System is really flexible, relaiable and extremely collaborative. There is no need of any extensive training, its easy to navigate through. What do you dislike?

User interface can be more friendlier. Sometimes it crashes suddenly, needs a good internet connection. Dynamic content takes a lot of time and effort as compare to other competitors in market. There are some functionality limitations in drag and drop features and system also slows down when doing multiple tasks at once. Some features are also a bit difficult to operate. What do you like best?

Selligent Marketing Cloud is used for retail, entertainment, travel, finance and many other big industries. It is used for client life cycle management and is one of the best softwares of its kind that I have seen. The features are customizable and the implementation requires some time but after learning it the whole process becomes smooth. It streamlines the marketing emails and the templates can be created without any hassle. Their professional support team is also one of the reason that we keep using it. Social marketing and Segmentation are its one of my favorite features. The Message Studio got connect to our own CRM within no time. What do you dislike?

When using Selligent Marketing Cloud offline the system crashes which can result in loss of data. There is need of drag and drop editor and the system doesn't work the same for Mac users. I hope they introduce both web and browser in the future because currently it is only on desktop. The reporting feature could be better it is not exactly according to my need right now. I love that Message Studio can connect to our Salesforce CRM quite easily. The results are reliable and we can send thousands of emails in seconds!

We received a great walk through when we started to use the platform and the Selligent team has been a great support for our projects; they are always willing to collaborate when we need it and help us find new strategies. What do you like best?

What do you dislike?

One thing that can be challenging is the limitation with dynamic reporting. When an email is truly dynamic and has several content blocks to support different audience types, we are limited on how much we can drill down into the engagement of each unique send. On the other hand, we have fantastic support from our client relationship manager and technical project managers who always take our feedback to the product team to continue enhancing the capabilities for their users. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Personalization vs. plain old segmentation - this is a problem we are faced with daily. How do we truly personalize on a 1:1 level as opposed to just segmenting by category preference? With the journeys feature and Site, we are able to develop more relevant experiences with true personalization. For example, the ability to capture site behavior in real-time while the person is still shopping. When you have the ability to do this, you can trigger a personalized message either on site or via email with a promotion on that very product the customer was browsing! User interface - Login process is easy. setting up user profiles is very simple on the UI.

Sub organization set up process is simple and well maintained security between organizations.

Email marketing features : Awesome A/B features, dynamic content features

Builk emails - Support large volume emails.

Transaction emails - Support real time trigger emails

Data Integration - Support file imports and direct database connection.

Reports - I like heat map and domain based campaign performance reports

Email editor - Easy to set up simple templates in Selligent for users who dont know HTML coding.

Log files - In case you want to import data back to your in house system then team provides all the logs in details.

Support process - Very experienced and knowledgeable support team and always available for help.

Never had any issues with support team.

Account manager - Always available to help with our account.

LCM - For creating life cycle marketing features based on the customer transactions.

What do you dislike?

Segmentation - Limited features for creating complex segment. Examples - If I want to exclude domains that are marked as Invalid in my previous campaign then new records with that domains should be excluded from future campaigns.

Marketing Features - You have to purchase additional license not integrated with enterprise license.

Email preview - It does show email preview and easy to send test emails. But does not have features to see preview based on the devices and browsers. You need to get additional tool.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We feel Selligent is best tool for your email marketing and our previous system we used to encounter issue when we try to launch large volume email campaigns. Delivery rate is depends upon cleansed customer list. If you try to use purchase list then you will end up in delivery issues.

What do you like best?

Selligent's user interface for data import and segmentation make it extremely easy for a marketer or technical person to interact with the system. Also - it's consistent across all modules in the Marketing Cloud. A lot of their competitors' feel like a patchwork of different software pieces.

The implementation team and support have are head and shoulders above what we were used to with our old vendor. If we have an issue, they are quick to address it and clearly communicate to us. Specifically, during implementation, their data team worked closely with us to ensure that we were following best practices. They pushed back when they saw issues which was helpful. What do you dislike?

There is some confusion around their legacy product, Campaigns, and their new web-based one, Selligent Marketing Cloud. The documentation for both is housed in the same help center. We found Selligent to be an incredibly flexible solution with a depth of functionality and capabilities. Now we’re able to leverage data such as product category, purchase history, purchase affinity and interest levels within our content strategy to dynamically personalize all our communication. The platform allowed us to completely revolutionize our email programs and reach our goal to execute 1:1 marketing – and the investment is already paying off with a significant revenue uptick.

We also consider Selligent’s service team to be a true partner for us. I love our account manager. She is always available for our team and supportive of our initiatives and ideas. What do you like best?

Selligent provides very capable and user-friendly functionalities as an industry leading ESP. Creating a lifecycle email is very easy with their drag and drop interface. Batch and AB test emails are launched without failure. Their platform connects to our EDS very easily and syncing with an IDS is almost painless (just one minor complaint). Email personalization is very easy to set-up with their Content Block feature (need training to understand at first, but very flexible and useful once understood). Their reporting is straight forward, easy to navigate, and flexible. You have the ability to break your mailing down by device, browser, by day, by week, by month, and by year. Additionally, they provide you with overlay reporting, detailed failure reporting, and you can download the raw data so you can do the analytics yourself in excel or SQL. Lastly, they have an awesome support staff. They are very friendly, responsive, and go above and beyond with helping you trouble-shoot any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The email template editor can use some work. Doing edits on the fly in the editor can take a lot of time. I suggest using third party websites/software to code your emails and importing the code to the editor.

Highly recommended because of all the great functionalities and support. More technical users will thrive in this platform as Selligent does a great job with making EDS syncing, targeting, personalization, and executing lifecycle and AB tests very easy. What do you like best?

It's a rare combination of cloud solution with flexible data setup. It basically allowed us to migrate from previous campaign management platform within weeks. We simply replicated the same data model we used to have for on-premise installation of other vendor. Even having moved to the cloud, we still have an access to SQL console to understand what happens under the bonnet. Very much appreciated by IT guys. What do you dislike?

Not 100% HTML5 ready. For agencies like ours, who run their business on Apple computers, there is a small challenge while Selligent requires tiny *.exe component to be installed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Selligent's platform provides an impressive variety of functions that allow us to manage our email campaigns with great flexibility and the technical support is excellent. Our Relationship Manager is not only supportive of our initiatives, but she seems to see our needs before we have them! Selligent is a very robust platform. Great for batch mailings, AB testing and database management.

Reporting is great but still missing certain layers (like drilldown user reports and history). Missing a time graph of mailing engagement from when the campaigns are sent.

Can be buggy at times and slow when layering in multiple targets and exclusions at once.

Dynamic content blocks with WYSIWYG capabilities would be helpful.

What do you like best?

What do you dislike?

General loading time is slow. I've experience this at previous companies as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Bottleneck of production time. We spent a lot of time coding from scratch and manually adding in tracking, but were able to resolve this problem by utilizing token calls and token definitions, content blocks, reusable templates to reduce the amount of time spent on production. What do you like best?

Das Tool ist sehr nutzerfreundlich und leicht zu bedienen. Es bietet viele Funktionalitäten, die zusätzlich nutzbar wären. Guter Kundenservice - auch das Onboarding funktionierte reibungslos, unsere Ansprechpartner waren sehr hilfsbereit und standen für Fragen stets zur Verfügung. What do you dislike?

Die Template-Erstellung im Editor ist relativ aufwendig und braucht definitiv Übung - daher nutzen wir meist die Möglichkeit des Versandes mit dem Express-Template. Das ist wiederum sehr einfach, bietet aber auch weniger Flexibilität in der Gestaltung. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I dislike that Selligent is not updating our platform any longer. I also dislike that their back end doesn't play well with our back end. That isn't entirely their fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
