"User-Friendly Multichannel Marketing, Held Back by Query Limitations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like the user-friendly interface, which lets team members with different skill sets use the tool effectively for their needs. Setting up Emarsys was also very simple and adding on various functionality as our scope changes is fairly straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

The relational data section can’t always handle complex queries, especially when joining tables or running calculations, and it usually times out instead of producing a result. Resulting in queries not being able to validate the data and having to trust that the query is correct. It would be useful to create fields from SQL query results for targeting or personalised communications. Without that dynamic content, automated program communications can't be set up meaning the require to be run manually, this requires more resources, or ultimately they do not get run when the resource requirement is too high. It would also be valuable to have better visibility of the product roadmap so I can see how it aligns with our company objectives (a news bulletin on the homepage once you log in). "Easy-to-Use Marketing Hub with Strong Integrations, but Limited Social Channels"
2.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like the way SAP Engagement Cloud integrates with other systems and its tactics for sending communications and identifying who should get what. I also like the digital engagement module’s connections to Magento and other e-commerce platforms. The Magento integration works out of the box, so I don’t have to write integration scripts or worry about getting the data, and I can quickly get measures like user experience and customer engagement patterns. I found it easy to use and pretty easy to set up, and we got up to speed in a very short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I think the WhatsApp integration is still a work in progress, and there’s a lot more that can be done there. Competitors are way ahead on integrations like WhatsApp and Instagram, and SAP Engagement Cloud is still not anywhere close in those aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Segmentation and Helpful Support, but Campaign Organization Needs Folders"
3.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like the simplicity of SAP Engagement Cloud, the drag-and-drop elements, and how easy the segmentation is to use. I find the product support useful: the staff are quick to engage, give me updates, and fix issues. The learning pathways and online material also help me work through questions or problems. Having one simple platform for both brands made more sense than training across two platforms, and its email creation and sending features supported our business needs. Onboarding my current brand was fairly easy and smoother after we used another brand as a pilot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find it hard to manage emails when they’re all in a list. Folders to group campaigns, like a set of Black Friday emails or sale emails, would help me organize them and find them more easily when I review campaigns later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Email Platform with Reliable Send-Outs and Great Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

It’s a user-friendly, intuitive platform with very good support from our Client Success Manager. We mainly use it for email campaigns and transactional emails, and the send-outs are reliable. It also provides a clear overview of delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find some features difficult to integrate without technical knowledge (e.g., data management in general). The process of creating a new account or modifying an existing one (e.g., changing the name) is quite complex as well. Also, it’s not possible to have different accounts open at the same time. A heads-up when costs are about to increase because we’re reaching the amount included in the contract would be appreciated, but that isn’t the case for now. "User-Friendly with Efficient Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find SAP Engagement Cloud to be a very user-friendly platform. I've noticed that even the automations section is much more user-friendly and easier to use and digest than some other platforms I've used. I think the layout of the nodes and the placement is very clean, clear, and easy to follow, which makes the experience smooth and efficient. It's not clunky or cumbersome, which helps take some time away from what could normally take longer, making the process cleaner and smoother. I find this layout very helpful and useful, as it reduces the room for error and is likely to save time in the long run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I'm still learning the platform as it's only my third week, but so far, I haven't encountered any major issues. The only thing is sometimes the segment page takes a minute to load, which can be a little drawback, but that's really the only thing I've seen so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Streamlined Marketing Automation with Improved Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like SAP Engagement Cloud because it's intuitive and easy to use, which helps me focus on marketing by removing non-marketing-related tasks. This makes my work quicker and improves communication with customers. I appreciate its drag-and-drop functionality and how it consolidates all channels into one tool. The tactics section and the automation editor are particularly helpful, enabling me to start tasks quickly and build automations more efficiently. Overall, the platform simplifies my processes and helps me work faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

There could be improvements in some bits and pieces of the technical setup. Especially, I am missing a function where I see logs for the integrations. I think the technical setup could be streamlined a bit more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Components and Powerful Customization, But Training Needs Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like the wide variety of components, tracking, and customization that can be done with SAP Engagement Cloud, in addition to data collection. I also value the sending of follow-ups for loyalty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

The training of the tool. I would like to have catalogs or user manuals, as well as easily accessible training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralize Actions and Offer Efficient Campaign Control"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like the stock tracking dashboards and direct revenue attribution, which help me a lot to understand performance. Additionally, the predefined campaigns aimed at the online channel make our work easier, as we only need to develop them according to our business, which ultimately benefits internal developments. The focus on automations that we are implementing internally is also a positive point for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find it problematic that the mechanics or actions aimed at the physical customer (POS) continue to be an issue, since most of our customers are physical and prefer to go to stores rather than buy digitally. Furthermore, we have platforms that we use to send SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS that are not integrated with the SAP Engagement Cloud, and these partners are not official SAP partners. "Turns Analytics Into Measurable Campaigns, Though CDP Sync Is Slow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I like SAP Engagement Cloud’s ability to turn analytical insights into measurable business actions. I use it to activate RFM segments, propensity models, and omnichannel personalization, and to measure campaign impact through control groups and ROI analysis. It lets me turn models and segmentations into automated campaigns and show their incremental impact on sales, retention, and customer value. The customer journeys are very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find that rate limiting makes synchronizing clients from a CDP a slow process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Communication Tool with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find the email editor of SAP Engagement Cloud to be good and intuitive, as well as the automation program editor. It's very easy to set up and saves a lot of time when setting up campaigns. I also appreciate how it allows us to combine data from different databases into one place for delivering relevant and personal communications to customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?

I find the use of segments to create audiences a bit of a hassle. I have to set up a lot of segments and combine them in some scenarios to get the list of customers I need. It often leads to duplication and is difficult to manage in an organized way. I think a better categorization or filing system would improve this process. Also, the initial setup was quite complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
