I am able to forecast financials and team utilization among 65+ active projects over the coming ~2 years in a matter of hours instead of days. Having a team that travels a lot, it also helps with visisbility to other departments to know where and when team members will be out of office. **What do you dislike about Resource Guru?** It would be nice if there was a less expensive option for "view only" rights. Anyone who wants access for visibility has to have memebership as well, even if they do not want to actively schedule resources or themselves. **What problems is Resource Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to export the data into easiliy modifyable pivot tables is a huge help. I get a breakdown monthly of expected labor per person, per month, per project. ### 2. Can o re updates easily. **What do you dislike about Resource Guru?** I like if there is a feature for resources to can go and update when they become available(meaning if their scheduled task cannot proceed due to another reason and suddenly they have time on hand). If they can go and update it on Resource Guru quickly with a status or something and then there should be view/filter available to check who has time on hand today. I am support lead and allocating support tickets to resources when support tickets come in. Sometimes resources have work scheduled already for Projects but sometime waiting for feedback from others or cannot continue those Project work and they have time on hand. The ability to color code activities and projects is incredibly helpful also and makes it easy to tell at a glance what I've been assigned to. I use it almost daily, and even when my friends ask me when we can meet next I tend to open up RG because it's so much simpler to understand and use than other calendar software I have on my phone! **What do you dislike about Resource Guru?** Sometimes when there's lots of people in your company it can be a bit tricky scrolling up and down to compare your timeline to someone elses, but not really a major problem. **What problems is Resource Guru solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves things like knowing which of my colleagues are busy and when, and what they are working on, and it solves the need of knowing when I am next free and can be booked for projects at work. I use it hourly let alone daily, it has helped with both immediate detailed short term planning and long-term pipeline planning to see where the gaps are. We have a team of ~90 and I can quickly filter down to my exact team for an precise project in a few clicks. The colour combos are great for quickly seeing what's on the schedule. I like the schedule vs dashboard viewing options too. **What do you dislike about Resource Guru?** In the emails seeing holiday is quite uneseccary for me everyday maybe a weekly view on holidays would be better. Effortless to reschedule projects and see where project items are in your daily, weekly etc schedule. Projects often take longer or you need to break off onto something else, so the ability to split an existing schedule item so that you can move x hours to the next day or week is brilliant. Dashboard gives you a great overview of what's needed that day and coming up in the future. Managing your workload makes your day busy enough adding to this scheduling and project management can make this even more time-consuming, but Resource Guru makes time and project management simple and effortless. **What do you dislike about Resource Guru?** It would be great to colour-code clients/projects by brand colour rather than the limited colour options currently available. To be able to mark items as done would be fantastic and have a visible list of items done/complete, you spend time adding all the actionalble projects but your then left a little lost as to what has actually been done. Did not have opportunity to test the more advanced features (reports etc) but if they are anything like the rest of the package I have no doubt they will be also be g4reat and easy to use.
