Being able to easily configure what gets masked via the GUI (with both config import and export capabilities) and then being able to execute and fully automate that via the command-line is awesome.
At first glance, there may look like there's not a ton of documentation available - but there truly doesn't need to be hundreds of pages of instructions because they've designed the tool to be just that easy from the get-go. The available documentation they have is technical and straight to the point and categorized to easily find what you're looking for - If you do encounter any errors the tool outputs error information directing you straight to the documentation with the required solutions.
When running the tool, you can also see real-time progress details on which tables are being masked, how many rows have been processed so far as well as what the percentage of each individual table is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue I have with the tool is the restrictions on what datatypes are supported. Currently, the tool is limited to "string, date and exact numeric data types" - This was a problem when we attempted to use TDM for another project as we have encrypted data (stored as varbinary) - Which we couldn't do without manual workarounds due to TDM not currently supporting it.
