What do you like best about ReadyTech?

ReadyTech provides tools for managing virtual images and curriculum through a web interface. It was quick to train my instructors to deliver our materials. We were able to convert our training classes from traditional in-person to virtual within 2 weeks. Customers have been able to access the environment even given their strict IT policies. The technical support team at ReadyTech has always been quick to answer questions. The ReadyTech team schedules a time to setup your virtual environment, then takes a snapshot. Updating or changing the image is relatively simple. The web-interface has a ton of options (but can be daunting at first) to create class-templates, events and email templates. You can create lots of instructors and manage partners to deliver your classes. The sales and support teams is quick to respond to questions and honest about the capabilities of the tool.

3 Year Update: We have expanded our use of ReadyTech Virtual Training. What we thought was just a COVID temporary solution has become a core component of our training offerings. ReadyTech has continued to update their technology, and the students that use the tool have all had positive comments. We are able to scale our classes easily. We continue to host multple classes each month. Whenever we have a technical support issue, we can immediately (I mean with 2-3 minutes) have a live agent available on chat to solve the problem. There hasn't been an issue that they couldn't fix for us. Can't say enough about their technical support staff, they are great and always quick to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

The event management interface is a little clunky, but once you get past the quirks, it is powerful. The cost is a tad higher than other solutions. The virtual classroom feature (still in beta) does have some stability issues around the audio and webcam. I would recommend using another platform for the audio and web-conference. The management tools for creating email templates is not ideal and formatting the HTML emails is not trivial. The learning curve for the management interface does make the simple tasks daunting, but can be done with training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ReadyTech?

The training environment provided to all students and the trainer allows demonstrating the all aspects of the training and practising for students later on. If problems occur, the support is quickly available and reliable.

A lot of trainings were cancelled this year, so my last experience is from almost nine months ago Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

The new full blown training environment including web access is not handy and not flexible enough. Painpoint here is (was?) the poor quality of noise reduction: The quiet noise of the laptop fan - barely audible - disturbed the sound so much that students complained Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy interface to create virtual labs dynamically. Labs are easy to create , update & deploy. Environment is stable and performs well despite us running a scaled down (for training) environment.

What do you like best about ReadyTech?

It does everything I need it to. The ability to have VMs that a client can use with only a web browser is incredible. The tools available to monitor student machines, transfer files, etc. are all great.

By far my favorite thing about ReadyTech is the support. I often need help quickly, and the chat function always gets me a real person (NOT A BOT!), and they are almost always able to fix issues very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

There are UX painpoints that could be resolved. One example is how when you download a CSV of one event's participants, it's not in the exact format needed to re-use that CSV to map the next event's users (if an event has the same attendees). I'd like to see some kind of "transfer group to new event" option that reduces the manual setup. There are a handful of other issues like this - but on the whole they're minor. What do you like best about ReadyTech?

Everyone on the tech support staff is proficient, professional, friendly, responsive and will always explain the situation and all possible options. Over the last year and a half I have contacted support through chat and email on a regular basis and have never encoutered a bad expoerience and the quick response time makes my job as an instructor and content creator much easier. Although I am sure if I lsted all of the technicians with whom I have had great interactions I would probably forget some. The list of techs with whom I have had a bad experience is empty. What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

I am aware of data center technnologies where users access in mass over the Internet so my expectations are properly and the RT environment seldomly operates in the unacceptable range. The only thinng that doesn't work well for me on a semi-regular basis is accessing the lab desktop after a hard reboot. It seems that after the lab comes back up I am unable to connect to the desktop getting error 4004 even after wating an extended time. Luckily, the issue is resolved quickly by opening a chat with tech support from the lab. Because of the quick response it is not service impacting, but I would be interested to know if there was something I could do from the user side to prevent involving tech support after a hard reboot.
