# Best platforms for collaborative API development

Hi everyone! I’m exploring platforms that make collaborative API development easier for both developers and non-technical stakeholders. We’re looking for solutions that support shared workspaces, version control, and integrated documentation so multiple team members can design, test, and manage APIs together. Bonus points if the tool integrates well with CI/CD pipelines and supports governance for enterprise projects.

Here are a few platforms I’m considering based on G2 reviews:

Postman: Known for its collaborative workspaces, automated testing, and monitoring features. For teams using it daily, how well does Postman handle scaling across large, distributed developer groups?

SwaggerHub: Built on the OpenAPI framework, it enables design-first API development with collaborative editing and standardization across teams. Has anyone used SwaggerHub to manage large enterprise API catalogs successfully?

MuleSoft Anypoint Platform: A full-lifecycle API management suite that includes collaborative design and strong integration capabilities. For those on enterprise teams, how steep was the learning curve compared to lighter tools?

WSO2 API Manager: An open-source platform offering API design, publishing, and analytics. Curious to hear if teams find its collaboration features competitive with Postman or SwaggerHub, especially for hybrid deployments.

Stoplight: A cloud-based design-first API platform focused on collaboration and governance. For users who’ve adopted Stoplight, how effective are its version control and documentation features in team workflows?

If your team has tried any of these, or switched from one platform to another. I’d love to know what made the biggest difference. What features helped your developers collaborate most effectively, and what would you avoid in hindsight?

Thanks in advance for sharing your insights!
